The Winchesters (2022)
So good! Felt like coming home!
The Winchesters pilot episode was so good! It exceeded my expectations! It felt so good to be excited about the supernatural universe again! Was it perfect, no, but no shows, especially pilots are. Since it's a pilot, so that means there's a fair amount of exposition, but all pilots have to have that to introduce things and set things up. I think the casting was great, as was the writing - it's tough to find a balance between call backs to the original show and this still be it's own, new show...and I think The Winchesters managed that balance wonderfully! I can't wait to watch the next episode!
Supernatural: Carry On (2020)
This was awful
I fully expected Dean to die in the finale, but not like this, this was just awful. Dean gets taken out by a "nail"? No one attends his funeral? Only Bobby greets him in Heaven? I know the pandemic didn't allow for the many actor and familiar faces to be there in person, but there is such a thing as technology. SPN could have used old footage of the actors and edited it in, they could have used crew members to attend Dean's funeral, and they could have even have just used audio of the other actors to hear voices in Harvelle's Bar calling out to Dean when he got to Heaven. But, actually one of the worst things about this episode is the dialogue between Dean and Sam when Dean was dying - Dean, who was gasping for breath did all the talking, Dean praised Sam, Dean told Sam he loved him and Sam, Sam didn't reciprocate to his dying brother. The show went out with a cheap and lazy finale.
Supernatural: Drag Me Away (From You) (2020)
Bad
Awful episode. All the characters are inconsistently written and canon is thrown out the window.
