Lolita from Interstellar Space (2014)
Had low expectations for this film
And it delivered exactly what was expected. Acting was really bad, even during the sex scenes, which were even worse than the plot. You would think that maybe porn stars could fake it better than this, but you would be wrong. The only thing better than the plot was some of the special effects (which still were not the best - Maybe about the level expected from a 1960's sci-fi film). The memory implant looked like it was an automobile cigarette lighter, and the mail character (Lolita) could barely walk in the dress she wore in the opening scene. It was an hour and 20 minutes I will never get back in my life.
Secret Society of Second-Born Royals (2020)
Far from the best Disney could do
But it's not really the worse, either. I was eager to see this movie when it dropped on Disney+, and watched it the first weekend it was available. As the title of the movie states, it's about the second born royal, which I've always wondered how they really feel about their role, and with their older sibling the one that will become King/Queen someday. And this address that int he beginning, but in what seems to be a really exaggerated way. But as the movie continues on, they find out what their real (or fictionally real) role in the monarchy really is, and train for that role.
The actors I feel did a pretty good job for the role they had, and if I was to rate them on their performance alone, I would go with a 6.5. But there is only so much they could do with the script they had to work off of. And I feel the selection of the actors for the royal family could have been better. No disrespect to the actors they did select, but they were a family, but they were far from looking like a family. Think of Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell playing brothers, and Sean Connery playing their father. Unless there is some backstory about one being a half sister or adopted, it was far from believable.
The story itself is where the real problem was. It was a very common story told with just minor changes to it. I feel the movie could have been improved using that same tried and true story if they had made more significant changes to the details to make it look more original.
The ending does leave it open for a sequel or a series, so if one of those happen, I would recommend watching the movie so you're caught up on the story. Otherwise, if a sequel or series never comes out, you won't be missing anything from skipping this one.
The Skinny Dip (2008)
A good travel show
If you're looking for nudity, this is not it. Everything is blurred out, and you don't get to see anything. But if you are looking for a show to take to some more obscure locations away from the tourists area, this is a good show for that. It shows you around the town as she recruits others to join her, and the trek to the swimming hole is a pleasant trip for the viewer. And the host's enthusiasm (and the fact that she's very eye appealing herself) adds a lot more to the show. i think she did a really good job as a host, and I wish I could see more of her (not more of her at the swimming hole, but more of her as in other shows).
