Just Like Heaven
21 September 2005
was definitely what the doctor ordered for all the problems in the world right now, a down right feel good movie with a top notch duo to boot :) Witherspoon and Ruffalo were a great team and even more so after seeing her on Regis saying how great he was .. true to form, no stretch for either one of them to play comedy, they weren't over the top with their characters. They played it all well and a completely unknown supporting cast with exception of Napoleon Dynamite's Jon Heder who really wasn't in it all that much but was the glue who held them together .... Kudos for making it a feel good movie :) Thanks for making it all worthwhile.

Imitation of life

there are still yet very many classics needing be made into DVD and this has made it but wish Back Street and Madame X as well as Connie Stevens in Susan Slade and Valley of the Dolls would come out like this has .. I notice now that on Amazon you can get this version as well as the older Claudette Colbert version together :) woo hoo ..

this is the saddest movie of all time, I remember watching it many years ago before with my mom before she passed away in 1976 many many times .. its just too bad she did't't live to see all the technology of the future to see what they can do with movies now :(

oh well, hope all enjoy it as much as I did and still do

I consider an all feel good movie
12 September 2005
An Unfinished Life may have sat on the shelf awhile due to "politics" per our TV critic here in Dallas but heck, it was worth the wait, sure its drawing comparisons to Million Dollar Baby for the buddy chemistry of the two male stars but overall, I think the new kid on the block Becki Garndner (sp) steals the movie but her chemistry with the 3 stars is the glue which holds the movie together. Without giving anything away, I still think all 3 principals acted well together as well their support system too .. Josh Lucas and Camyryn Manheim were good ..too .. So, take it all in stride and enjoy it and who knows, you might see a surprise Best Actor nod for Robert Redford ...
