A.I.C.O. Incarnation (2018)
Worst dub I've ever seen
This story may or may have not been interesting. I was pretty distracted by the worst voice acting I've ever seen in 20 years. It was like watching a throwback Kung fu movie where the dubbing is just laughably bad. It was obvious that no one stopped and actually cared about the finished product.
All-Star Superman (2011)
All over the place
I am a professed Lover of animated storytelling. Despite this fact, I found this to be a particularly weak and incoherent attempt.
I am not familiar with the All Star Superman graphic novels, but I'm certain they must be much better than this. I have the distinct impression they were trying to cover way to much content in too little time. The result of which is simply awkward. This is an unfamiliar Superman, which in itself is fine and good, but to have so many exploits and with so little quality time engage in this arc, just felt empty.
I'm sure if you ara a fan of Superman in any manifestation, you can find something to Love about this production. No doubt you will be entertained, provided you can see no fault in your idol. But for the rest of us, nothing doing. I could find no connection with this tale. If you are a fan of the iteration of the animated Superman, be wary, because this is just not the same. This is the cheap soap opera version.
Fringe (2008)
The second season sucks
Season One: 10 STARS The first season was a phenom. Like x-files, meets mcguyver, with a wonderful alice in wonderland vibe: stranger and stranger as you go down the rabbit hole.
Season Two: ZERO ANYTHING'S (unless maybe you count in dead rats) I'm sad to say it, pained to the bone, but the old gray mare just ain't what she used to be. The second season is not IT. I puzzled at what it could be through the premiere, sat stumped the second episode. As if the potential is being under-utilized; all the characters are there, all the old threads exist, but there is just something missing in the storytelling. You know when you're making a dish from grandma's recipe book, and it just doesn't taste the same? It's just missing that... that... SOMETHING? Yeah, it's like that.
What a shame that a great beginning is now only 50/50.
