Happy Gilmore (1996)
It's all in the hips, INDEED!
Happy Gilmore was not a happy man. He lived a life filled with pain and suffering. Be it not making the hockey team, or having to find ways to save his grandmother's house...life was a constant struggle.
But life began looking upward when Happy ran into Chubbs, a black man who I occasionally confuse with Lando Calrissian. Chubbs teaches Happy how to play golf, and Happy is happy...once again.
He hits the ball a lot and saves the house. In the words of Adam Sandler, "Whoopity doo."
Thank you.
Mo' Money (1992)
Mo' Money makes me Mo' Ready! To see it again!
I was only 9 years old when the epic "Mo' Money" was released in theaters. Despite only staying in theaters for approximately 3 hours, I knew it was a movie that would stay in my heart for...more hours. Like 3+.
When Damon Wayans said, "Mo' Money, Mo' Money, Mo' Money," the world stopped turning; if only for a brief moment. All was good in the world, and life itself seemed brighter than ever.
If there was ever a second coming of Christ, Damon Wayans was his name. Thank you, Damon. You will always been my love.
