Ricky Gervais: Armageddon (2023)
I love Ricky but
I'm a huge fan of Ricky; I love the office, extras, and derek, and after listening to all the podcasts multiple times, and watching all of his stand up routines including attending humanity at Sheffield city hall (his best in my opinion), I'd say it feels a bit rushed. It's not bad, but it's not great. There are still some genuinely funny moments, but it's just a little lacklustre overall.
No doubt he has made more money from this show than I'll make in a life time so good for him, but (unless he's licensed to do so) he'd be better of leaving it for a while before doing another stand up, otherwise I think it could become stale.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Average at best
Definitely not a sequel to Hill House. It has only a small handful of scary scenes, it lacks that "I cant wait for the next episode" urge, and it's more of a love story than anything else.
It's very long winded and drawn out, and it's trying too hard to be clever. It trips over too many hurdles and the longer the season goes on the more it drags. There were moments that piqued my interest, but it was soon deflated.
Some people, I'm sure, will love this series, but sadly it's not for me.
Sick of It (2018)
Well made, funny and dry
It's so easy to watch, really well made and Karl has done a very good job acting.
The humour is very dry and if you're a fan of KP then you will surely like this.
Seen the 1st 4 episodes and I'm loving it.
