Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond (2024)
average story and characterisation, with no depth in both.
While the story picked up is very interesting but the research done for it might have also been good but however it never came out in the story. In a fit to dramatise and fictionalise few incidents were very flimsy. The story had flimsy plot points and enemy group, terrorists were made to look like fools. One of the Raw agent planted terrorists camps looked scared 24 hrs a day as if he never wanted to be there. RAW agents are trained to be lot more mentally stronger than portrayed. ISI, Pakistan Army and Terrorist group was made to look clueless and there could have been more depth added to them. Ashutosh Rana as the ISI agent look average. Such a good actor was not utilised properly as there was no depth in his character and he could not do any justice to it. I think a similar story with better plot points and with treating the enemy as not fools would become more thrilling and more authentic than what Ranneeti is right now. The 6 rating which I give is to all actors trying their best to do something out a poor script and meek direction. Prahar of Nana Patekar looked more better than this one.
Cirkus (2022)
Bible on how not to make a movie
Tried watching this movie. It took me lot of courage and pep talk to prepare myself to actually see what everyone was talk so bad about. The movie had me at the first 10mins... it's ensemble of bad acting, bad script, bad direction, bad vfx, bad everything. I could not go beyond half an hour and had to switch off my Netflix and move to Apple TV to watch something more sensible and of class. This movie like my headline says is the Bible of how not to make movies and it will be studied in all the film institutes across the globe. Case studies will be made of this movie for kids and grown ups to make them understand the minimum quality that should be achieved in any venture of life.
Bhuj: The Pride of India (2021)
A movie not about the Gujrati Women
Bhuj, this movie is not what it says. I guess this was an after thought. This movie is a fictional movie based on some true events which I don't know whether they are true or not.
Koi Jaane Na (2021)
I can say only one thing
Koi Jaane Na why I even watched this movie. There is no substance and no co-relations. Why the wife is so vindictive ? What happened to her in the end ? What happened to the publishing house ? Why that thread was even there ? Why the cop was dumb ? Why the doctor running around on his own ? What happened to the murder in the start of the movie ? If the detective was hired by the publishing house why was he carrying the photo of disguised Kunall and many more... All the unrelated elements put in the movie for a reason Koi Jaane na.
Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship (2020)
Utter Disappointment
Now I know that if Dharma Productions is releasing something on OTT platforms then it is something they don't want to release in theatres and they are substandard movies. The movie has everything mediocre, from script to post.
Don't watch even if one is getting. Do TikTok videos instead.
The L Word: Generation Q (2019)
Sex and Love guess that's what all that is to The L Word.
I have not seen the old L Word so was not prejudiced or had any expectations. But unfortunately it fell so very short of any standards of expectations. All it has is 1-2 erotic scenes every episodes and tried to tie in a story in between them.
God in the era of such good story telling and compelling visuals available in other series, this has fallen flat on all accounts.
