Skins (2011)

Skins USA on MTV

Skins USA is based off the British series of the same name. It tells the stories of young teens and their friends trying to survive the life of being a teenager.

MTV is airing this in their late night line up for Monday nights and I will say I totally love it!

The first few episodes will mirror the original at first, but will take a different direction once the series finds it's legs.

Before judging harshly take a better look at the series, because it's worth watching if you love the UK series.

Tron: Legacy (2010)

This is greatness!

Tron: Legacy was an amazing film! Stunning visuals and a great soundtrack won me over in a heart beat. Jeff Bridges is always a great actor and in this included. Michael Sheen was not wasted in this as he played such a great character.

The story was my only concern and it seemed a little weak but did not distract me from the film. The whole family will enjoy this one!

Daft Punk's score was brilliant! The amazing background music was so awesome and it really helped me immerse myself into the movie! I totally recommend this one to everyone!

The Hard Times of RJ Berger (2010–2011)

Funny Hilarious!!

I was not expecting much from this series at first, but I actually liked it after getting into it. It was really hilarious and totally kept me entertained. Over the years I kinda kept away from MTV because most of the programming seemed to be reality based. Now I feel a little bit more interested in MTV now that I found a series that is funny and somewhat interesting.

The guy that played RJ Berger has some talent in teen comedy, I wasn't expecting much from the cast but that guy is funny.

Hopefully we will see more from this hilarious show!!

Orphan (2009)

Let's All Scream For ORPHAN!!

Yes, Orphan is far from perfect but it delivers the goods and builds the suspense in the film very well. The cast was even excellent especially Isabelle Fuhrman, she was the best thing about Orphan.

I gave Orphan a 10 out of 10 rating because it actually kept me on the edge of my seat the first time I screened Orphan.

I see a long and bright future for Orphan and somewhat of a cult following.

If you have not seen Orphan by now, my suggestion is go and rent or buy it today.

Caprica (2009–2010)

Caprica Rules!!

Im really addicted to Caprica, because it's a really good prequel series to Battlestar Galactica. It really has a slow pace start, but surely to pick up soon after new episodes continue to air.

I have heard great things about future episodes and guest stars for the first season.

This Sci Fi drama is sure to please us fans who love a mix of both genres.

Eric Stoltz does an amazing job, as well as Polly Walker as Clarice Willow!!

Totally worth checking out!!

Fame (2009)

Companion To The Original

As a big fan of the original movie I rushed out and saw this film when it released in theaters, I was not disappointed but there is room for improvement.

I recommend the Extended Film Version because their seems to be a better balance to the story versus the Theater Version.

Overall this film is entertaining and appeals to certain people who might enjoy this as a companion to the original film, but don't go see this film for the originality because lets be honest, it really is not.

Fame (2009) Does have it's original moments like Alice and her dance with Sam Sparro's Black & Gold is priceless and worth the admission of the whole film.
