So simple yet so deep
25 April 2023
It's funny, it's sad, it's simple, it's deep.

Everyone has a tragedy inside, but it can be dealt with in most cases.

This show masterly tangles multiple life stories into one. It shows that there is no dead end, and all the people have something unsaid and heavy in their souls. But good deeds and good people can help.

We see a resolution of multiple sorrows that are common among people and the ways they can be treated.

Touching such a serious subject, the show has a good balance and sewed in humorous moments.

Highly recommend for those who likes to watch something thought provoking and touching.

A masterpiece that touches the bottom of your heart
14 January 2022
These series are brilliant from top to bottom. Everything is perfect - the actors play, the story, the mood, how it all is stitched together.

Each episode sucks you in and dissolves within itself. I can't even explain what worked for me. But I was waiting for each episode and watched it like I was starveling.

A real masterpiece that we have not seen in a long time.

Almost fell asleep
6 January 2022
They did almost everything to kill this movie - a shallow story, a very slow pace, bad directing, flat dialogs, drunk cameraman, music video-like editing.

I went to watch this movie because Diane Kruger is a good actress and she acts in good movies and she delivers.

But this time something went very wrong. Although Diane Kruger delivers this time too and she is the strongest actor in the movie, the movie itself just doesn't work.

The plot has a lot of holes. The pace is very slow, I even almost fell asleep at some point.

The dialogs are lateral and don't add to the story.

The cameraman's work is just crazy - there might be a single actress in the frame, but she will be slightly out of focus. Extreme close-ups and choppy editing in fight scenes make them unwatchable. It feels like the movie was shot not for an anamorphic frame it is shown because the framing is very weird - a lot of sliced heads. And yes, the jagged drunk-man camera is in its glory.

For the female badass agents movie the body doubles substitute is very noticeable in every scene, highlighted with the edits when the actress is replaced with a double, which doesn't help to sell the realism at all.

The characters are dull and the story is just very basic and weak.

Wait for it to appear on streaming platforms. Don't waste your money on movie tickets.

Don't waste your time

The movie is just bad.

Very-very bad in all of the aspects. It feels like a very low budget European or Latin American flick.

Bad acting, weak story = nothing to watch.

A kind of disbalanced
11 September 2021
It is a good action flick with a proper homage to female strength, stamina and capabilities.

But it's weird to watch.

First of all Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a wonderful actress and she drives, pulls and pushes this movie. But it feels like this movie is too tight for her. She is an actress of a greater scale.

Second, Kate is a true terminator and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is true sunshine which makes me feel cognitive dissonance when I see all of this together.

Perfect with its craziness.

It's easy, it's fun. Good black humor. A good action. Several unexpected twists.

Those who find Marvel Avengers boring will find this one entertaining.

This movie is a good example of the old school. A pinch of black humor, a fistful of craziness, plus a drop of gore - makes it a good recipe for entertainment.

What a joy! What a soundtrack! What a play! What a character! Everything in this movie is soooo well done, is so on point (well, except the CGI dogs).

I haven't had such an ecstasy from the movie for a long time. And I didn't have any hopes for this movie. I just wanted to kill a weekend evening. But it is a true surprise.

2 long 2 dumb
20 March 2021
It feels like the movie is just made for its scale. But the scale was really unnecessary. Sometimes the flick feels like it's moving through the large puddle of thick tar. The Amazons part makes you question their sanity and IQ. It's probably offensive for women to be depicted this way.

Highly disappointed.

Couldn't make myself watch it to the end

Willis became a mark of garbage movie.

This movie is so cheap and pointless.

The cameraman was drunk or so. The characters are wooden and dumb. Reducing the budget they made all the flick shoot in super closeup, so you can't understand what's going on on the screen.

Don't waste your time. It's garbage.

Shallow, flat, pointless, bad
26 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Don't be caught by Bruce Willis on the poster - he's there just to draw your attention. In the movie, he does almost nothing and has very little screen time.

The movie itself is like a cheap indie shooter game. The characters are clueless and pointless. Taking into account the locations, extreme close-ups, costumes and number of artificially augmented "actresses", it is a very low budget movie.

Highly not recommended!

Not worth your time
5 August 2020
At the first 10 minutes, you start thinking that the heroine is stupid. Then you start thinking that everyone around her is stupid. Then you start thinking that the police are stupid.

But, in fact, the story and directing are stupid.

I wanted to leave the cinema and the only thing that made me watch this till the end is that it's hell-hot outside.

The trailer for this movie is better than the movie itself.

A movie for American public
13 February 2020
Yes, the topic is important. But the authors took more than they could bear, so the movie came up clueless, pointless, painful and boring. Not recommended outside the USA - there's almost nothing that will ring your bells.

The best Terminator since T2
9 February 2020
Really enjoyed it. Mackenzie Davis performed really great. The story... Finally we have the story!

Dark Fate is not as dark as T1 or T2, but still a great movie.

One of the best

This movie is one among the best of the golden age of parody comedies, proves the true talent of Mel Brooks.

It's so easy and fun, and entertaining. I bet all the cast and crew had a wonderful time shooting this movie.

I was watching it for over 20 times already and find it funny every time.

Worst Godzilla movie ever
30 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
They made it cheap all the way. They put black monsters into the darkness and bad weather just not to deal with realistic texturing. The graphics is even cheaper than the first installment of "Jurassic Park" (where they used the same approach to cheap out the 3D GFX expenses). They made the plot flat and stupid. The dialogs are awful and retarded.

People in the theater were in their phones, talking to each other, going in and out, just because the movie is so not engaging and not entertaining.

There should be people with a special talent to make such a trashy Godzilla movie.

Worthless!

A wash
17 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The franchise has deflated.

There is practically no plot in the third installment. The film is similar to the screen version of a computer game, where the main character constantly destroying the units and then gets to the boss.

Chases, fights, shootouts, it looks like Justin Lin (director of 5th and 6th parts of "Fast and the Furious," where they destroyed the tank and crushed the city with a safe on the laces), but didn't try very hard, because the fights look ridiculous - the rivals are stupidly waiting for their fate getting ready for hits, kicks, shoots etc.

What was especially annoying is when JW was in a shootout with opponents of "enforced reinforced armor", having about two dozens of armor-piercing cartridges, spent 3-5 of them on each opponent, often wasting 3-4 bullets on an already dead body.

As I said, there is practically no plot, but what is in its place is full of holes, meaningless, predictable and hollow.

I am an old grouch, but the abundance of action in the film did not compensate for the lack of plot and ridiculous battles at all.

A wash
20 April 2019
Unfortunately, the new "Hellboy" movie is a comics on a screen. It's flat, the dialogs are unnecessary, there are fights here and there, there are continuity issues, there are a bad camera work and bad editing. It looks like no one told the director that the cinematography is a very different form of art. The movie is boring and honestly bad. A waste of time and money.

A brilliant movie I wasn't ready for
7 April 2019
Initially, I didn't have high expectations for this movie, under the shade of a several movies Brie Larson was in, aside from brilliant "Room" and solid "Captain Marvel". And the reviews on IMDb prior to Netflix movie launch were mostly negative.

But I decided to give it a chance.

Man, this movie is so good. A very deep story of finding your place in life, pursuing your dream, building your relationships.

It so good, so precisely executed and performed, so submerging.

Bravo to Brie Larson. Bravo to all the cast and crew!

One of the best modern TV-series from Ukraine
11 December 2018
Sadly there are not a lot of good Ukrainian TV shows nowadays, but "The Dog" ("{Pes}") is an example of a good exception.

The show combines a good pace, catchy stories, interesting characters, and humor. Even though one of the characters is overwhelmingly dumb and comic, it just adds additional flavor to the show.

Every time I happen to accidentally find this show on TV, it makes me stay and watch it.

One of the best movies of recent years.
8 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
From the very beginning I was impressed with picture. There are a lot of beautifully composed scenes.

Despite it is not an action movie, it keeps tension growing all the time. I felt like my guts were winded onto rusty piece of iron in some moments.

You'll not get bored, you have a compassion to protagonists. The cast is brilliant.

Despite there were some mistakes and stupid things, and Sully's wife character behaves idiotically in some scenes (maybe something was lost in translation during full dubbing in localized version), I still give this movie 10 out of 10.

Worth every penny!

About 2016 episodes
17 February 2016
I'd like to congratulate the entire "The X Files" crew with the new "semi-season".

They obviously did their best. I can't remember so eagerly watching previous seasons. Maybe it is because I was watching previous seasons voiceovered with Ukrainian and now I'm watching the original. But anyways, the new season is like a breath of fresh air. It is not boring and overly complicated. Each episode has its special thrill. Each episode is interesting. You can't overestimate transformation of the characters. The self-irony and humor are simply brilliant.

Thank you, guys!

It looks like the show has a potential
8 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
After the first episode I was disappointed. I didn't find it funny and it was weird to see Julia Voth stripped in a very first episode (it's like to open your trump card at the very beginning of the game) while they could keep this teaser for a longer time. So I wasn't expecting much from the following episodes.

But the second episode was a way better than the first one. The smile was on my face during the entire episode. I even had burst with a laughter several times. So I think the show has a potential. And it will be exposed in future episodes. At least, I have a hope for that.

But it's still weird to see a beautiful girl treated like she is a dude. ☺

Disappointed
27 February 2013
Expected much more with such a great actors on supporting roles. But I'm disappointed with very weak and hollow story line unpretentable Golden boy actor and poor directing. The Pilot episode is full of pain for viewers. You watching it and asking yourself - when at least something will happen? But you get only empty and senseless talks for 40 minutes episode. The episode is simply falling apart.

You see the potential of Bonnie Somerville and Chi McBride, but they cannot reveal it in full glory because of poor script.

Hope, following episodes will be better. At the moment, the show is simply boring.

It was different
16 September 2012
Well… this movie is like a game. Watching this movie is like watching a kid playing one level of video game. But you're watching this during 1.5 hours.

During first 15 minutes of the movie I had only one thought in my mind: "what a hell is this?"

There is no plot, no catchy story like in previous parts. Here you have several blocks and a lot of stupid shooting and fighting without a hint to be a bit realistic. The final fight is like a raping of your mind - too much FX's, too less reality and common sense, it's against everything good in the world.

Actors are great. After a deadly injury a character doesn't show any sight of the pain except in his words.

Dialogs in the movie are fantastic… If you'll write down all the lines of all characters, you'll hardly fill 1.5 pages A4 size.

Watching this movie a felt like I'm fooled - creators didn't want to work to make it interesting, they used CGI+FX+fighting+shooting without everything else that makes movie worthwhile, and sold it to me using a bright wrap.

People were leaving the movie theatre in the middle of this picture.

Hope next movie will be much better.
