Utter garbage...a must see!

Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Berverly Hills is one of those shows that is so horrible you can't take your eyes of it.

Being a Sentai fan, I enjoyed Power Rangers, but Saban was also trying to adapt stuff like the much-loved kamen Rdier, and the result was complete crap. Meanwhile, during the Power Ranegrs craze, Dic created the awesome and underrated super-Human Samurai Syber squad, which was based upon an Ultraman incarnation. I never really cared for Ultraman, but Samurai Syber Squad was entertaining, more so than anything Saban chucked out in 1994 other than Power Rangers. Dic soon created this abysmal masterpiece, which I am going to call a parody. It was all-American, meaning no Japanese stock footage is here to destroy the world, no, we have entirely American footage instead.

let's start with plot. its actually pretty standard, compared to syber Squad. An intergalactic villain known as Gorganus, who is basically Dentist Vader, sits on his throne in search of the Power Portals, bad special effects that will help him to take over the universe. loyally perched by the villains' side is a bad puppet bird who gives me nightmares. anyway, Earth is a focal point for the bad special effects, so Monthy Python's Black Knight decides to conquer it. Nimbar, a cross between the almighty Zordon and the Blob, is the protector of bad special effects everywhere, calls upon four carbon copies of each power rangers, Laurie the cheerleader, resembles Kimberly the gymnast, then we have a tomboy who reminds me of Trini, a black guy who is a cross between Billy and Zack I suppose. the final guy is non-existent in power rangers. Nimbar gives the outfits of gay pornstars and sends to battle a giant samurai named Ninjabot (WTF)However, they combine their Powers to form their *cough* megazord *cough* Nitron, a really bad looking cheap Halloween costume who destroys Ninjabot by shooting him in the crotch. I haven't seen much other episodes, but who needs to?

Nimbar gives them glowing tattoo's which act as the communicators and teleporters. they stand on Transo Discs, which serve as morphers, and the use different star signs which act as dinosaurs.

The acting is cardboard, The blonde girl is the most wooden actor I've ever seen. But i do have to say, Leslie Danton is quite hot in this roll, pity she can't act her way out of a paper bag.

Bottom line, this show is horrendous, but it is a hidden gem amongst numerous toku shows and deserves more of a cult following. go watch some eps on you tube, they are there.

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (2000–2001)

Awesome!

Lightpseed rescue is easily my favourite ranger series

I like the rangers. Sean Cw Johnson is a better actor is a better actor than most people make him out to be. Sasha Craig is absolutely fine as the spunky, extreme sporty yellow ranger, who used to be a man in GoGoV. The always beautiful and talented Allison McInnis is present here as the pretty nurse pink ranger, and the excellent Ron Rogge is superb as Captain Mitchell.

The villains are great. After 7 seasons of space aliens we finally get something different-demons. My biggest gripe is the same for anyone who watched one episode of Lightspeed: Vypra's actress is terrible! But she makes up for it by walking around all day in a very revealing outfit and overall cool design. We also get Diabolico, the third Ecliptor. Diabolico is a fierce warrior, but actually cares somewhat for his comrades and gets a tragic ending, which brings us to our main antagonist, Queen Bansheera, and is one tough b*tch. She is brutal and merciless, seeking only to destroy. She starts out an energy ball, then becomes a horrific beast before finally her body is restored, and boy, is she ugly.

I like the zords. we here get a wide ranger of various zords and megazords, which are called in to take on the beasties when the task gets to big for rangers to handle. the transformations are very cool and like how they form the various megazords.

The score is pretty good. its not as epic as zeo and others like that, but it gets the job done and is kind of catchy.

I love the rangers suits. basic, but very cool overall.

The overall theme here, if you haven't guessed already, is rescuing people. i find the execute this very well and i like the concept of a military organization forming a rescue team to protect one city from demons. its just awesome.

There is, however, some hammy voice acting from the monsters and such, but, hell, its power rangers, so what you gonna do?

Friday the 13th (2009)

I liked it!

Let's face it, this is a lot better than another sequel (a JasonX2? HELP). Why does everyone have such a big problem with this movie? I'm really starting to like it just as much as Final Chapter.

First of all, the real reason to see this movie is Jason. It was great to see him go back to the woods and back to that sack. but now, he is no longer a lumbering zombie, he has the brains he started to lack around part 8. this is because Jason is human. He can't actually take as much as you would think. His design is great, he looks sinister in Bree's kill scene. The reason Jason makes his kill so perfect in this one is that he has been living in the wild. his tunnels around the camp are actually a great idea and I love his agility. I also love the scene where he turns on all the lights in the camp when he sniffs out a presence. It's great.

Gore. Plenty of bloodshed. Not unimaginative, not over the top. Bree's is the best. Fantastic. I love stuff like how chewie wasn't just stabbed like usual, how Lawrence survived his initial run-in and was killed when Jason dropped him. i also like how he just appears behind Bree in her kill scene, how he drops down behind the cop, and how unexpected but hilarious Nolan's kill was. I laugh every time.

Nudity. Some real hotties in this one! Everone knows about Bree, but what about that pointless wake-boarding scene with Chelsea. And America Olivio had a real nice rack. You should be careful of the final sex scene, though, its pretty hardcore.

Characters. Almost everyone is trademark. A geek, a hot girl, a needless guy, a horny guy, a redneck, a cool dude, a dumb blonde, a stoned guy, a black guy, a slutty girl, a dull cop, a rich prick, a good girl, a hero guy and the final girl. Cliché but they work.

Story. Overall, this is really good story-wise. Not confusing, not to simple. Not as straight-forward as Final Chapter, not as messed-up as JGTH, just ice. You can follow it, but not fall asleep.

What it all boils down to is that this is a highly underrated slasher film and one of the best horror remakes i've seen. EVER!!

Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000)

a disappointment

I'm not going to lie, but I am one of the few who actually enjoyed the first Urban Legend. I mean, yeah, sure, there were a lot of plot holes, but it built a good atmosphere and I, for one, am fascinated by urban legends, cryptids, Alien abduction and so forth, and this sequel looked like it had potential. I was young, and I liked this movie, and I also thought the killer's mask thing looked kinda cool. But now I'm older, and I realize how un-fun this movie is. nothing like the first film! I few things were nice, like Loretta devine, the ending, and the sci-fi nerds, but the kills didn't do it for me. I was let down by this sequel. I have also just realized how stupid the killer looks. what is he even wearing? It looks awful, nowhere near as scary as the killer's design for the first film, just a creepy fleece hood. it could be anybody. but how many people would own something like this? Also, the motive is outrageous. horrible. the first solution was quick, clever, and I almost sympathized with the killer for a few moments. But this has no shocks. I felt the first one was constantly strong, if not the best, though, but this one is just too slow. It trudges on at a snails pace. the legends they chose for this one, don't work. in the first, they wear well known, like the backseat killer or dog in the microwave. but here, the one about screams at midnight? It's just stupid at heart. Then,, of course, what are the films good points? well, while there being very few, it is this: the opening on the plane. It is just very laughable, but in a good way, unlike the rest of this garbage. I'm frustrated now. as well, the girl getting killed with the broken window, the kidney and the dog...Ridiculous, just ridiculous. and that sums up this film for me. A cheap scare fest with very little plot, annoying characters who get it early on so thank god! minimal gore. I disown it from the Urban Legends time line. i've heard that while bloody Mary isn't as bad, it's still pretty awful, but I haven't seen it yet, so, until that review, i hate this movie, altogether.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

brilliant sequel, brilliant soundtrack, brilliant massacre

this is undoubtedly my favorite Jason movie, and I consider it even better than Graduation Day! The first thing that makes this movie is the humor. it is not overused like most people would do to it for this kind of film, but Tom Mcloughlin knows what we Jason followers like and he delivers an excellent sequel. then of course, since its Friday the 13th, why not have some great kills? Well, this movie has just that, but it works, and it doesn't seem forced, like Jason has to kill him because he's a 2-D character that we don't want haunting the script. nope, all the characters are actually kind of likable, and for once, I felt that we weren't overpopulated with horny adolescents. Jason slaughters them, sure, but this time, he's killing counselors. I mean yeah, maybe that Hawes fella was a bit goofy, but he got one hell of a way out, so if you think about, you almost sympathize with these victims, rather than just Jason, but as always, you side with the Big J and just have fun. its a tradition. Characters are developed and this is actually my favorite part of the film. the funny characters. now, atmosphere. is it scary? well, thinking what i said about humor, you might think this one is one to skip if you looking for a good scare, but there is a very intense scene with Jason getting ready to take out camper Paula by redecorating the cabin with her-Jason loves red. but, the door blows open, Paula goes to close, nothing happens. its actually is pretty creepy in its own right, and for that I really love it and congratulate it. Another strong point is the score. no Harry Manfredini this time round, just Alice Cooper! yeah, my favorite song of his, it really does kinda put you in Crystal Lake. The acting is superb. the best for all Friday sequels ( I love John D. LeMay and Steve Williams in JGTH, but everyone here is great) they are believable and I don't think I've latched on to a horror victim like this before. i am emotionally attached to this movie, its wonderful. Power Rangers Turbo (1997–1998)

just stupid

this serious lay Power Rangers down on its death bed and prepared to turn off the machines before In Space came along with a cure, but until then, we had Turbo, a really stupid Power Rangers series. I mean, yeah, Power Rangers isn't exactly the most smart of kids programs, but they had a little bit of sense and some of the more subtle humor actually still gets a chuckle out of me, i really liked Zeo, but now I watch Turbo and shed tears. its a sad, unfunny series, with horrible morphs, over-the-top action that sucks, no matter how much you put into one episode. the Power Rangers themselves were never really top-notch actors, but they got the job done, nearly right, but here, even the returning cast seem to have given up. only a few actually try, its only because I believe that they thought this series actually had potential. Divatox is one of the worst villains ever in a Power Rangers series, (yes, even worse than Lothor from Ninja Storm) and they have an additional add-on, the unnecessary and just plain awful Justin. this series was kick started by a movie, which also sucked, but the zord battle at the end was kinda cool and Justin was overplayed. I really wanted to love this series because it has a kick-ass opening song, some creative monster designs, and some really great set-ups that weren't exploited to their full potential. however, the last thing that made this series all worthwhile (did I just say that?) is the 3 parter finale Race Into Space, which sets up In Space and destroys the Power Chamber for good this time (no false scare like MMPR) and some okay action. believe me though, they really should of skipped Turbo and gone ahead into In Space because this is undoubtedly the worst of all the Saban era Power Rangers series, and only the finale saves it from being as bad as Jungle Fury. My final verdict is skip and try in Space, although if your gonna see a few episodes of this one, check out Race Into Space

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985)

it's no Final Chapter, but it's no Jason X either

Friday the 13th Part V: a New Beginning is often considered the worst of the Friday films. it isn't very scary and Jason isn't the killer, but, so what? It has an awesome body count, along with awesome kills and some above-average acting from John Shepard. Roy, the killer, racks up a high kill number, so cut him some slack, and Danny Steinmann is okay as director for this type of film. but think about it, is this a weak entry because of everything that plagued Part VII, which isn't really a favorite of anybody's? well, people don't like all of those killings, nor the nudity, or the whole Carrie thing. but this one is missing Jason, so what if Jason was the killer, what would be your opinion. would you change it? stop being so serious, its a Friday sequel, give the nitpicking a break! a few things I was unhappy with: Roy is very strong

at the end, when we see Roy in the mask, it's the only time we see him in the mask, never when he kills people

the final chase hints that the killer is actually Jason, but its obviously somebody else.

Friday the 13th: Part 3 (1982)

average slasher film, but forgettable Friday sequel

Friday the 13th part 3 just kind of blends into the slasher crowd. it's not particularly scary, not very memorable, the deaths aren't as creative as other installments, not T&A is this one, boys, no particularly good actors who went onto do anything, the heroine is the worst in any slasher film, (even worst than Gretchen of Offerings)who Jason raped a few years back, the only good thing is funny man Shelley, his antics crack me up, the totally out-of-place disco theme and Jason's hockey mask appears for the first time. Hell, yeah! in the end, this tends to be a weak, disappointing entry in the Frdiay franchise. if you want my opinion, skip and check out Graduation Day, its much better

Endangered Species (2002)

Earth Alien is, um, I don't know...

Earth Alien is a movie is picked up for 3 euro, along with the action classic The Rock. i didn't know what to expect, but when I finally sat down to watch it, I still don't know what i saw. I mean, damn, the effects are really bad, but in a good way. obvious CG makes this an even more enjoyable movie experience. it's like one big Terminator clone, the nudity is in your face all the time, the gore, however, isn't really present, although it racks up a high body count with some really funny head shots. The acting is OK for this type of movie. Eric Roberts does his part, Arnold Vosloo is good as the sympathetic Warden, John Rhys-Davies is left to provide comic relief, and he evens gets himself killed, but no one else really stands out, they just kind fade into the blend of boobs and bloodshed All in all, it's not that bad, but nothing memorable

Hancock (2008)

top notch superhero film with a twist

Hancock is an enjoyable superhero film with a twist, as the superhero is often drunk, sleeping on the streets or is causing more damage to the city than the criminals that he is chasing.

it is a humorous twist that director Peter Berg plays around with, but does not suck it for all it is worth

it has a subtle sense of dark humor, and Will Smith gives everything to his role as the sympathetic bum, and it pays off, as well as the supporting cast

in the end, this superhero film is a funny look at superheroes and the way we look at them

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

a solid A+ action film

this was the very first Die hard film i ever saw, and the first non-animated to feature Willis, who really is awesome in the role of John McClane this is also undoubtedly timothy Olyphant's finest role.

now, what every discusses with action movies: the action that scene where the car hits the helicopter is probably the most memorable, but my favorite is when McClane opens fire on the fire extinguisher, which explodes and shoots a terrorist out a window

it is so funny

McClane's cheesy American puns return, but this time, Timothy Olyphant references them with 'come on, john, say something funny,' which is actually very funny on its own

All in all, the final verdict is that this movie is brilliant and a must-have for any action fan

Halloween (1978)

essential to any slasher collector, or film collector for that matter

Halloween kicks ass into eternity the characters are realistic, the score is creepy, the actors are pretty good, considering the budget, The Shape is brilliant as ever, at his best, nudity isn't over the top and in your face like Friday the 13th, the profanity isn't that heavy, two death scenes contain blood, and this, the film which kick-started the slasher genre, has a total body count of 5, one is unclear because of being shown through a mask, one is off screen, one is shown mostly through a fogged up windscreen, one is shown shrouded in darkness, and the last is a bloodless strangulation! Charles cyphers is great, so is Donald Pleasance, Jamie lee Curtis, Nancy Loomis, PJ soles etc. do their part well, the atmosphere is just really creepy, which makes this the one and only slasher film! overall, buy it now or damn you!

Adam & Evil (2004)

at the end of the day, it's just another teen slasher film

it's okay. nothing special, we hardly see the killer until the end for five seconds, the nudity is not very memorable, the deaths aren't very creative (which slasher killer uses a gun?)

the twist ending is kinda stupid. the gore is minimal, the sex scene didn't thrill me, the kids aren't likable, accept for one, don't know his name, the scenes about them, trying to develop them are boring, the dialog is just awful overall, if you wanna see people who you know are trying to act because believe that this is a good slasher film, go for it, but stay the hell away if you're looking for the next Graduation Day

Jason Goes to Hell (1993)

blood, tits, and an awesome score. what else do you want? oh, yeah, Jason!

Jason Goes to Hell is New Line Cinema's first entry into Paramount's previously owned Friday the 13th Series, although now we just call 'em the Jason movies in this, Jason 9, we'll call it, Jason is blown up in the opening. then he does the Hidden over and starts jumping from body to body, trying to be reborn through a Voorhees woman i know it was called Jason Goes To Hell because it was supposed to be the last, and a lot of people do, but how many people know that Jason is literally dragged to Hell by demons? well, this is probably the first Jason movie that has a better reason to see it rather than just the fact that Jason is in it for 10 minutes. John D. Lemay stars as Steven, our reluctant hero, and for once, we root for him, not Jason.

Kane Hooder is back, but this time he is also a security guard who gets offscreen and Freddy Krueger's glove at the end one shameful thing is the fact that Jason is absent for most of the film, and here, this film had my favourite Jason design. it's brilliant! the other actors do their jobs well, the infamous diner-spree is all there, a guy gets melted, a guy gets his face boiled up, a girl gets ripped in half during premarital sex (serves her right!) more guys melt and some other people melt Jason Goes To Hell kicks ass. it's not for everyone, but I'd say go check it out

The Hidden (1987)

brilliant underrated sci-fi action movie!

The Hidden is just one of those movies that you might disregard as crap. but oh, if you knew what you are missing! basically, law-abiding citizens are going mad and killing people. it turns out that they are possessed by an alien! one minor thing i don't like is that usually, in a movie, something very bad happens and the main characters (usually two) kind of under go a cold shoulder routine for five minutes, but here, it comes out of nowhere, the alien escapes from a stripper's body into a dog and everyone is in a bad mood? this is just a fun movie. the characters are memorable, well acted, the action is great, builds tension fairly well, the alien looks like nothing you'd ever expect, there is a very high body count, which is just great, Kyle McLoughlin's alien guy is really interesting, the car chase is great and the film has it's fair share of memorable quotes ('I want this car, I need the keys') Ultimately, this is a great, fun, cheesy 80's sci-fi action film
