The Pentaverate (2022)
Holy Crap. This Is Awful!
I almost can't believe how bad this is. I actually enjoyed all the Austin Powers films, even Goldmember. One of my favorite films was So I Married an Ax Murderer. This is absolute garbage. I think the stars of the film decided that they could write dialogue just as good or better than a writer so they decided to put on their "writers' hats" and give it a go! It's like one of those B or C list pieces of garbage that Amazon Prime picks up so they can legally say that they have thousands of films to choose from. At no time did I find myself even cracking a smile never mind having a laugh. I couldn't even get halfway through it.
I'm not going to even ask you not to watch it. Like a messed up TiKTok challenge to drink spoiled milk and keep it down, I'm going to ask you to try it yourself. How much of this can you actually stomach? I had 16 minutes remaining of episode 1 and couldn't go further. How far can you go?
Nobodies (2017)
Funnier when it was called Seinfeld
It was funnier when it was called Seinfeld. That being said, it's not bad. The situations are funny and not too over the top. Like I said above, it's Seinfeld lite. Rachel Ramras is Elaine. Hugh Davidson is Seinfeld. Larry Dorf is George. The main difference is that they all work together as comedy writers. Melissa Mcarthy plays an overarching loonier version of her self (think George Steinbrenner) that's pretty funny. It's all been seen before but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'd have continued to watch it if it stayed on the air but I wouldn't have saved the date like I did for Seinfeld.
