On a scale of one to ten with ten being the best, this was a wonderful movie. The acting was great. The actors/actresses did a superb job. The plot was tasteful and in line with the previous 7 parts of this series. Oh how I wish we had more movies like this. Production, direction, filming were excellent. I'm only sad that I can't look forward to any more movies from this series. Thank you Hallmark, and EVERYONE who participated IN and helped make this series wonderful. Does anyone know if they are going to have a movie after this one?? I loved this movie and every other one in this series!!! I would hate to see this be the last movie!

I will just say this: if the characters of John and Savannah loved each other as much as they showed/said, then events would NEVER have unfolded the way they did. Without giving to much away, it was like the author just wanted to set up the bleakest most depressing ending he could think of for John, even if it didn't jive with the characters or the rest of the story.
SPOILER Savannah never would have married Tim-it was just a cheap trick and lame plot device meant to depress the reader, and on some level it worked because I totally felt terrible when I finished. She even admits she loves John more then him, yet she couldn't wait a little longer? And the whole coin collection being sold to treat Tim's convenient illness was just so phoney. Again, just another manipulative plot device trying to tug our heartstrings that was so unbelievable by that point.
I actually felt angry that I wasted my time. I could have got behind this book if it didn't become so contrived, because the John character was very likable!

This movie was absolutely terrifying. I'm sure it'll run through my mind when I drive through some of those back-woods places. The characters were grotesque and I don't think I'll *ever* watch this movie again, but it served its purpose. I don't know whether it was a cold room or getting the bejesus scared out of me, but i shivered quite a bit. Right off hand I'm gonna tell that this movie isn't anything you haven't seen before. It has a typical horror movie set up: a bunch of young people in the woods in the backcountry of some state who run into a bunch of psychos who want to hunt them down and butcher them. If you're thinking " wow, that sounds a lot like the Texas Chain Saw Massacre", well, you'd be thinking right. There's even a gas station scene with a weird creepy hick. But I'm not trying to convey the message that is a Chain saw Massacre rip-off. Texas Chain Saw Massacre was awesome, so I see no problem in people wanting to make more movies like it. But anyways, Backwoods offers nothing new to genre, it's just a plain good ole slice 'em and dice 'em popcorn horror flick. It's not trying to be exceptional, it's just trying be a horror film with enough blood, gore and thrills to suffice any horror fan for the 84 duration time, and in that context, it succeeds.

I read some reviews that paint The Last Song in a bad light, but I liked it. It was a touching film, well written, well acted and directed, and in my opinion the actors were perfectly cast for their parts.The screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' bestseller is a deeply emotional story of young love, the process of maturity, the crucial choices in our lives. have not read the book, and thus cannot comment upon the fealty of this film to Sparks' manuscript, but its emotional tone and import is certainly consistent with his other works with which I am familiar. This is the kind of film where you cringe at one moment from the stilted dialogue and then burst into tears over a love that knows no bounds the next moment.
