Revolution (2012)
I was excited, but was disappointed.
I was very excited for this show to begin, and then when I watched it, I was very disappointed. First off, it doesn't make any sense. I understand power going out, but how would that make gas and battery operated equipment die as well? So they are now living like we lived before electricity, which means shouldn't they be able to start from scratch and recreate it? That's not even was annoys me the most. There is nothing original about this show. Same concept has been done in many movies and other shows as well (and I'm not even talking about Falling Skies). It's like an EXACT replica of these other films/shows. The storyline, the setting, everything. Even the title card, which basically mimics Falling Skies' almost perfectly. I'm not even going to go into detail about the poor acting as well, but the acting is very bad.
The show in general was just poorly written and thought out, and after watching the first episode and the beginning of the second, I had to quit (and I usually cannot stop watching a show, even if it is bad.
The Cape (2011)
Action Filled & Emotion Filled
First off, I have no idea why this show got that one terrible review...someone must just not like a good story.
The Cape is probably going to be one of the best shows starting up this season on television. It is filled with actions that was pulled off very well, along with a lot of emotion between the main character and his family.
Even though it may not to a completely original idea, there isn't really another show on television like it.
The show also has good acting, good plot, likable/unlikeable characters, and David Lyons pulls off the "superhero" look very well.
Overall, this is a show I'm going to continue watching and hope will not be cancels, although I don't see it being canceled mid-season.
