Ultimate popcorn fun

With 5.6 IMDB rating, I entered the theater with low expectations. Oh boy, this movie did not disappoint. I loved the over the top action scenes and the 3D visuals are pretty amazing as well. It was fast paced action with several jump scares. Both Statham and the Chinese actor did very well. Yes it is generic and yes it has over the top giant monsters. But what else do you expect from a movie about a Giant Shark? I think the critics need to consider that some people like pure fun as well. So I do not think this movie deserves the low rating it got.

This has to be the best popcorn movie of the year up until now. Do not listen to the critics. Just have fun.

The bias taints the science

This is a heavily biased documentary. It is obvious that they approach this from a vegan's perspective. It is alright if they give space to both sides of the argument. Because of the heavy bias, it is unappealing and taints the valid arguments for becoming vegan (animal cruelty, ethics and pollution etc.). For example, the doctors in the documentary are presenting cherry-picked research. And based on one or a few such papers, they come up with heavy statistics. I have checked out some of the manuscripts myself and most of them are based on surveys, not controlled experiments. Furthermore, correlation does not necessarily mean causation. Also, there are so many literature to support diets rich in animal fat which claims to reduce diabetes. Therefore, coming to strong conclusions based on limited evidence is not proper science. Usually, a disease can be caused by several factors, such as age, mental health, food, environment, genetics, physical activity, etc. Hence, clinging into one factor and making stupendous claims is not the science that everybody respects. It is funny that they claim all the organizations are supported by animal agri industry, which is partially true, but they fail to understand how their vegan agenda also crosses the line between science and propaganda.

Just brilliant! One of the best superhero movies I watched and one of the best movies in last two years. Acting and directing are superb. The emotional element is also there which is lacking in marvel movies.
