Star Trek: Discovery: That Hope Is You, Part 2 (2021)
Where are the Klingons?
Once Upon a Time mets Mean Girls in space. lol
There are some strong characters on this show. Unfortunately, the writers tend to kill them off and go with the fan's will, which is to focus on Tilly, who is ridiculous and Michael, who is erratic and untrustworthy. The woman pilot would make the best captain or the South African Security Officer. The highlight, for me, of Season 3 is the killing of Michael in the Alternative Universe. Saru is a great captain, though the crew wouldn't obey him, including Michael. Why didn't the crew sufficate? Where are the Klingons, who were so important in the first episodes? The greatest character of the entire Season 3 is Grunge, the cat. This series is "so" EMO. They need a Hologram Deck on Discovery. I miss a good bar or cook, like in Voyager or DS9.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Resurrection (1997)
Odo?
(1) This episode was boring, (2) this episode is most all about Kira and that horrible opposite universe Kira, who is a terrible person, and Kira isnt my favorite character, that would be Nog, (3) Odo lets this opposite universe appear on Deep Space Nine and he isnt watching carefully (4) Deep Space Nine as a show overdosed on Kira and her home world on the first three seasons, Im over with her and her world, (5) the Sixth Season is the most exciting season and they have this boring episode in the middle, like a fly stuck in your wedding cake, (6) even Visitor who played the character didnt like the episode, and (7) the high point is Quark, who with Odo could have saved the episode with a confrontation with the thief and Kira's opposite. Fail episode.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Children of Time (1997)
I dont understand why they had to not exist?
If 8,000 people exist for 200 years in a "bottle" as it were, I dont understand why they had to not exist. The creators could have had them continue and/or spring into another universe or something. The main point is the love relationship between Captain Sisco's second-in-command and the stations "constable." The end result is the worth of 8,000 souls to a couple love relationship. Odo thought it was worth it, but will "she?"
The Orville: About a Girl (2017)
Better Than I Thought
I thought the episode was better than I thought it would be, since Id read ahead of time about the plot. This was the episode the media had seen to review and tell the viewers how good they thought the series would be valued.
I thought the episode strengthened the viewers understanding of the characters. The episode helped me to understand and appreciate the backgrounds of the characters. There are parts of the episode that are like past Star Trek episodes and American culture.
My wife and I sit on the couch together and watch the series. It has been a show we can both watch and discuss. I have a stronger Star Trek background, watching all the past Star Trek series' and Galaxy Quest.
The episode caused us to seriously discuss issues we had with children we both had in separate marriages, but we could discuss. The episode this evening caused us to both laugh but have a serious discussion as well. That was good.
