Jack's Family Adventure (2010 TV Movie)

FINALLY, a nice family film
23 February 2012
Finally, a nice family film without violence, sex, horror, blood drama or trauma. Cast says Peter Graves, but I didn't notice him at all. Thought he died long ago. no?

Beautiful scenery. Family becomes closer as a result of teamwork, missing daughter, communicating, and trusting one another. Dad stands up to his boss and puts family first. They all learn to ride and round up horses. They actually seem to enjoy living in a cabin with no indoor shower. I got chills just watching that part.

There is some fear when worry that a bear or some other carnivore is stalking them, only to find out that it's just a lone wolf.

I kinda wish Wild Bill had been younger and/or better looking. His script could have been better instead of so many trite lines.

A romance between him and Charlotte would have made this a 10.

I miss you more than ever now, Dudley
13 January 2012
How could they possibly call this Arthur?!! Nothing about it is the same. Russell brand was nothing like Dudley. Dudley was darling and endearing. Russell is in-your-face obnoxious.

What a horrible insult to Dudley's memory. It should have been called Nanny Boy or something. Certainly NOT Arthur. Why remake something that was already perfect?

I loved both of Dudley's Arthur movies and was expecting this to be a good movie too. It isn't. I absolutely hated it.

It was GHASTLY!!

They won't let me post this unless I write 10 lines? TEN LINES!!?? There's nothing about this that deserves 10 lines. It's one of the worse movies I've ever seen.

Bad ending - Christian did not die
8 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Why in the world has this movie been done 3 different times with 3 different casts? Beautiful tropical scenery. One of the many movies that made me want to permanently move to an island paradise, which I eventually did.

Two things are very wrong in this film. I can't imagine what evilness would allow the British courts to acquit Bligh of all charges. How could they take the word of that madman without hearing the other side, from the victims?? Worse, the ending is completely wrong. Fletcher Christian did not die young. Hemarried that girl and had many children. Even today, most of the Pitcairn residents trace their ancestry back to Christian.
