Table 19 (2017)
A Funny Movie For All Misfits
This is a pleasant, enjoyable movie that will appeal to everyone- especially those who are on the outskirts of life and do not quite fit in.
Anna Kendrick is one of six characters who have been invited to a wedding. Each of the characters does not quite fit the mold of someone you would really enjoy hanging out with so they are seated at a table far away from the bride and groom. Kendrick is the ex-girlfriend of the bride's brother and she still pines for him. The others are a group of quirky characters.
Those at Table 19 slowly begin to learn about each other and work together to help Kendrick and each other through a series of mishaps. This leads to a number of scenes that will have you chuckling throughout the movie.
Valentine's Day (2010)
A fun-filled romantic movie
This movie was panned by most reviewers but is really a light-hearted, fun filled romantic romp with many stars and a few messages about love. Sit back and enjoy it and don't worry if it is somewhat obvious what will happen in most cases (aren't most movies anyway?). It is a little long but does not drag very much. I enjoyed it and think you will as well. A number of couples are featured and their exploits about how they get together, stay together or if they should split up. I enjoyed the roles played by Jamie Fox and Jessica Biel and I always like any movie that Julia Roberts is in. Shirley MacLaine also looks great. If you are having issues in your love life, one of them is sure to be covered in this movie.
Letters to Juliet (2010)
Cute little romantic movie
This was a very pleasant, romantic movie where a young woman assists an older woman to search for someone she loved many years ago. Several romantic letters had been written many years ago but never answered and a group of women were answering those letters. A lovely Amanda Seyfried joins the women to answer the letters and to find Juliet. Then, she helps Juliet try to find her long, lost love. Along the way, the younger woman discovers what love really is and, subsequently, what she really wants. Guys should learn to make sure they pay attention to their women. It is somewhat predictable though you don't exactly know how each will find what they are looking for. The acting is nothing special and the scenery is lovely. See it with someone special. You'll both enjoy it!
