Wonderful,hilarious, gross!! touching movie!! ~~SPOILERS~~
20 August 2006
~~I was able to see this movie yesterday morning on a early viewing pass~~

I am a mom of 2 children, who range from 11 down to 6. So I'm sure plenty of parents can relate to having to see many many "kids" movies. This was refreshing for me. I haven't read this particular book, so I don't know if it stayed true to the book or not. But it sure took the grossness factor to a high level. This is the story of the "new" kid in town and it just so happens that there are a group of boys who have formed a club of sorts and love to pick on kids ....sound familiar? Haven't we all suffered this one time or another. He has the little brother who he cant stand and parents that he is embarrassed about. What I enjoyed most of all was seeing how each character was totally different from another they all stood out. The bully (why do they always make the bully a red head? My daughter has red hair! and she is no bully!..lol) is well a great bully, who finds himself being yelled at by his own big brother. It took twists and turns and well you fall in love with all of them and really find yourself routing for all the characters! Even the parents, great connection between father and son. All around enjoyable, sweet, funny, gross etc......Take your kids!!! You will enjoy it as much as they do!

Excellent comedy/ romance with true Heart!

Warning: Spoilers
Does contain a few spoilers!!

I just returned home from a sneak preview of this movie! I must say first off, going in I wasn't really sure what to expect, you just never know with these types of movies. Ryan Reynolds took a hold of this movie and just shined in it! It was not your typical romantic comedy, there are some throw down (stunt filled) scenes that just leave you covering your mouth from screaming with laughter..Anna Farris is unbelievable funny in this movie, I loved her in her other films. She plays the Brittney Spears/Jessica Simpson wanna be, but with such flare you love to hate her. Chris Kline steals the show as Dusty, I have always seen him in more serious roles...this is such a difference. I must say you feel many different emotions through out the film. I really don't want to ruin this for anyone. Just trust me on this one...You wont be disappointed. This isn't at all just a chick flick.

AWSOME!
16 June 2003
This movie is such a great story! It makes you cry and laugh. I was just tired after watching this one. I felt for the characters in the movie. Jon Bon Jovi is amazing in this movie. His acting is soo overlooked! HE is a total natural in this, you belive that he is this guy. Not some huge rockstar! I wish this movie had been given more credit. I have to admit yes Jon is totally my fav as far as music goes. I want to see him excell in acting! I would recommend this movie to everyone!!

One of the best Remakes!!
11 June 2003
This to me is one of the best remakes. I can watch it start to finish every time is it on. If you like the first Ocean's Eleven with the Rat Pack this has taken that movie and of course made it up to date. The cast really compliments each other. Daniel Ocean (George Clooney ) is slick but not too slick. They take this movie to a whole new level with how it intertwines the whole plot. I do have to say I went into this movie thinking is there going to be any substance?? Well I have to say I sat on the edge of my seat. And of course the cast was very easy on the eyes also.
