The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Just because
There is so much hate for this, but that's not surprising at all. This movie was an obvious stab at WB, for trying to give Wachowski an ultimatum. Make a matrix movie, or we'll do it without you. Call it a cash grab, a bad idea, a horrible reboot, whatever you want, but this was simply someone trying to retain creative ownership of a successful idea. I personally found this movie as entertaining as anything else in the series, and it's very meta, which I liked. I also liked that it instead of asking a bunch of questions it actually just gave answers, actually a lot of them. Though it lacks the 'omg' shining moments of the original, I still found parts intriquiging and interesting, and the overall story and concepts enjoyable. Hate it if you want, probably for all the wrong reasons, but I will gladly include this as part of the matrix saga in my reality.
The Sandman (2022)
I loved it!
I don't know what some of these reviews are really about, but they obviously didn't read the comics or graphic novels. For those saying they changed it too much, huh? The dialogue is almost word for word in parts and the story followed closer than a lot of other things that have been turned into movies or TV shows. Some of the cgi effects could have been better maybe, but the writing and story are very much intact. I was actually surprised it followed as closely as it did.
I would hate to see this show end after just one season because of toxic fanboys and enemies of so called 'woke' idealogy (Gaiman was always inclusive), so I had to step up to defend it. If you like intelligent and open minded stories about human nature, philosophical ideas and just plain good dark fantasy, do yourself a favor and give it a try.
Zeitgeist: Moving Forward (2011)
Everyone should watch this film
This is probably one of the most important documentaries of our time. It shows how the current world's systems which make up our society are inherently corrupt and can lead to nothing but the enslavement of mankind as a planet, and our eventual extinction. We all know the world in which we live just isn't right. This is not how humans are meant to be. We all feel it on some level and know it to be true. This film shows you that truth, in all of it's horror and ugliness but it's intent is not to inspire fear, but rather to inspire people to work toward changing the course of our future as a species.
An alarmist view? Yes it is. But the alarm must be sounded, because if we stay asleep too much longer, the fire that is already burning will consume us entirely. It's time for us all to WAKE UP, and even if this film proves to be nothing else, it is a great cup of coffee.
