Knives Out (2019)
9/10
You won't be disappointed

Incredible film. Very well executed. Perfect cast and filming location. Daniel Craig's performance was superb. Chris Evans was so funny as he always. It was great to see some old timers like Jamie Lee Curtis and Don Johnson. The plot and twists were great. Reminds me of Agatha Christie's Hercules Poirot stories. Really really good movie.

Prisoners (2013)
10/10
Very well thought out suspense thriller

Excellent, excellent movie I'd have to say. Best suspense movie I've seen in quite sometime.

First, Hugh Jackman's acting is crazy good. I expected nothing less. I love the director's take on the film. Instead of focusing solely on the details of the crime, he focused more on the emotional mental turmoil of each family member of the missing girls. If none of us have ever been through something like that before then we can't begin to understand how horrifying that must feel knowing someone has your child and doing unspeakable things to them. I really appreciated the director focusing on that.

Secondly, Jake Gallenhal is just simply the man. The chemistry between him and Jackman just fit so well in this drama/thriller. I'd wish I had seen this in the theaters. It was well worth $11.50

Thank goodness I only spent $2

Dark of the Moon definitely redeemed itself from part two but it still was somewhat of a disappointment. There was no need to cast the girl in this movie. She contributed absolutely nothing to this film and I thought it was a low blow to insult Megan Fox during the film. It was so obvious that there was no chemistry between Shia and Rosie and her acting was terrible. (not that Megan Fox's was any better). The only thing I enjoyed was Optimus Prime kicking major butt. The two little robots was pointless as well. Thankfully I purchased my tickets through Groupon for $2 because I would've been heated spending $10 on this. Definitely could've waited for On Demand.

Beastly (2011)
3/10
Waste of money and time
4 March 2011
The plot was great, being though it was the modern take on beauty and the beast. However, the script was terrible. Everything seemed so rushed.

Kyle wasn't even arrogant long enough. He made one or two rude comments and next thing you know he turned beastly. In fact I didn't realize he was being rude until like seconds to minutes later. That's how cheesy his lines were. And on top of that, he started falling in love with her before he was turned beastly which totally contradicts the whole point of him being that way. He's supposed to be ugly inside and out.

Liddy or, whatever her name is, wasn't turned off by him like Belle was in the animated version. She couldn't stand him whereas Liddy liked him from the beginning. She called him a jerk once but that didn't even sound convincing. So corny. The fight scene where Kyle calls himself saving her was so bad I was nearly in tears from laughing. What a shame because the concept of the movie was so awesome and this could've been a really great movie.

Bottom line, it was a waste of money, gas and time. I could've waited until this came out on Netflix. Sorry but this movie was just terrible!

Pretty good, but could've been better
20 February 2011
The plot and special effects were awesome but I felt that some of the scenes weren't sequenced in correct order and there was so many unanswered questions. For instance, Number Four didn't mention what planet he's from until the end of the movie. That should've been explained in the beginning. Also, he fell in love with the girl too early and he was forced to make a serious decision too soon. There whole relationship felt rushed to me. The bad guys (I know...it sounds corny) had no powers so why were they such a threat? The guy that was used to protect him said that he had no idea what he was capable of. Capable of what? All he did was show that he can move stuff. He really didn't showcase his powers enough to prove that statement true. You know what would've been a nice twist to the story? If the girl or guy from school turned out to be one of the numbers. That would've been awesome.

Hopefully part two, if there is one, will bring some justice to the first one..
