Aweful one sided documentary with hidden agenda

Now Netflix ought to be ashamed to be associated with this piece of garbage. This is bad journalism. You only get to hear the sides from the defendants team.

All facts from CCTV was not presented or discussed. She was there 3 days before the crime, planning her execution. You can see she was visibly scanning all the CCTVs and planning where to sit. She was interviewed by one tv station where she claimed she didnt know where the restaurant is and dont know anything about coffee.

They also omitted the part where there can only be 1 of the 4 people who had direct contact with the coffee is the culprit. The barrista who made the coffee, the waiter, the manager and Jessica.

One by one was eliminated because of the fact that the poisoned was only introduced into the drink from 4 - 4.15pm when the coffee is ice cold.

The only person close by the ice coffee is none other than J Wongso.

Every one knows this but this docu producer does not. Why??

Gave this one a shot to see what the fuss is all about this little film. Hmmm other than the great production and good acting from all actors... this material is soooo unwatchable.

A screwed up mother keep screwing all the people around her.

I really hate american cultures that promotes drugs, junkies, booze in colleges, and this is just one of them.

I tried hard to sit through this one.

But when she showed at the son's rental place and mess things... its unbearable to watch.

Hey maybe the movie is too real.

But thats exactly what i hated about it.

A son have to take care of the mother that was never there??

Maybe its too close to my own story about my adulterous dad with his 3 wives?

I really hate the way things play out. A ring leader gang up on a weird kid. And you know what will happen to this bullied kid in a school environment.

So Matt and minions should not be supported for his attitude.

Matt had my respect till the big bully in him manifests itself.

So we support this show that encourages bullying??

Cant the rest of the players see Matt is manipulative??

Only Gary is the one with sound mind.

Okay i got nothing else to say and i have to fill this up to a minimum word count. Jeez...

STOP the bullying!

Or I am going to stop watching Naked and Afraid !!

really bad... from a famous director

It is so amateurish... it could not decide if it should be realistic or like a stylistic play. I just love the visual. Other than that do not waste your time on this. I cannot sit through the first 10 minutes.

Great concept. Bad execution.

Wow i really have nothing good to say about this. But i have to write more to finish this review.

The first actor to die is really awful. Mawar tried to save the movie but everyone seems like plastic characters.

The movie does not have rhythm and all is flat. I wonder if the director knows what he is doing. It seems he doesnt know the language of film making.

Other than an okish CGI, the voice over really suck. The main lead is wooden, zero comedic timing, zero humour. Does the director is even aware one of the chip monk cannot even act?

I didn't know the story of Daniel going into this and boy was i filled with surprised and disturbing images rodof the senseless brutality of isis. Do yourself a favour, share this movie with your friends because the world needs to know.

Malignant (I) (2021)

Must be one of the worst expensive movie i have ever seen this year. There is no plot and i was confused for the first hour. It doesn't make sense. Is it a mutant? A ghost? Super human?

Big disappointment. Its really a sequence of awesome cgi and fancy camera work put together. And sadly i am James Wan's fan.

There is a message in there. I get to see the ugly side of America. You may say its just a movie. Seriously this things does happen. I have also seen straight outta compton. Racism is everywhere but to top it with police brutality wow i can see why blacks lives must matter.

I was entertained and enjoyed it very much. Could have been an 8 if the lead guy doesn't make some illogical decisions. Like turning on the lights instead of wandering in the dark and a few more stupid actions which i cannot reveal here.

Its a solid thriller that made me jump from my seat.

Best part is and probably the highlight of the movie is the performance of the main villain. The plot is nothing new and you probably can guess what's about to happen next. It is really well put together so its a solid 7 from me.

A Dark Foe (2020)

It plays like your watching painting by numbers. The pace only has one gear. Its like watching someone's first movie effort.

Those high ratings are definitely fake. I could not even get pass first five minutes of the movie. Despite having some big names... other actors are not very good. Skip this one.

What's with the bad rating?

Firstly, enjoy it for what it is. Its not a mission statement to be accurate. It is a tribute to the 70's slasher. I go to the movies to be entertained. This one did. Very few movies these days can get me hooked past the first 10 minutes. This one did.

Now if you didn't enjoy it.. you can just quit watching. And don't even stop to bother writing bad reviews.

Now why the haters??

This movie was shot in 2019... and got stuck for release.

It had everything i was looking for. Good production quality. Good actors. Good direction.

Yes the music in the background can be a little too much or too loud.. but those are minor things.

For those who think they can direct or make a better movie, please do. Do not act like you know.

Some comments out there are just out to destroy this movie.

In my opinion, this movie deserves a 7.

It could have been higher if not for the minor hiccups.

Mind you it is written by R L Stine.

Frustrating and Painful to Watch

I have to say i enjoyed the movie. But the producer and director did not get the casting right. I mean come on. Elisabeth Moss may be pretty to some but not to me. You need to have a pretty and hot girl to play this role. What would make a man jealous to the point where he will not leave you alone even after he is dead. Certainly not an average looking woman. I am not sexist. Its just facts and logic. The woman has to be smoking hot that he wants you all to himself. So that bit just just didn't work for me. Go watch it. It is enjoyable but could have been a lot better!

I am just writing to tell you that this movie is great. Enjoyable for the family with positive message. There were parts of the movie that was not explained. For example how did their enemy ended up becoming a judge at the end. And finally.. what happened to the two leads... i want to see more... part two please

Survive the Night (2020)

I wanted to like it but... the direction is too dumb

If this is a thriller, there was no tense moment at all. Everything the character did does not make good sense. A better director and a good editor could turn this around to make it a good film. The pace is uneven and slow. The timing between events do not make sense. Watch it and you see what i mean. The minute the bad guys entered the house, i knew it was bad. But i persevered to see if its gonna get better. It didnt. Seems to me nobody in the house knew how to use the gun except the bad guy. There were so many "OMG that was so dumb" moment that it became hilarious. I was counting what other dumb things they might do. It was pretty draggy as it is. I bet If It was edited tighter and better the timing of events could be fixed, they could have explored the Sheriff's background story. All actors did a good job. i put the blame solely on direction. Poor Bruce. He deserves to be in a good movie.

Uncut Gems (2019)

Avoid this if you have high blood pressure

The movie started interesting enough in south africa where the uncut gem is found. Then you are introduce to Howard the main character who owns a jewellery shop. Instead of focusing on what he has, he dabbles in big gambling and other woman. Pretty soon he was chasing his next sale to cover his debts. The editing and pacing Is definitely intense. Was it intentional? maybe. Unfortunately for me and the wife.. it got pretty messy and stressful that she walked out of the movie. I have mixed feelings about this one. No doubt Sandler is great!

Rigor Mortis (2013)

A poignant ghost story

I just recently watched this oldie. Boy was i surprised and impressed at the same time. The production and storytelling stood up well against the test of time. How it got such low ratings is beyond me. There's almost nothing to tweak if i was to remake this. Only minor gripes. The makeup could have been made more scarier. Overall good job in my book. The mood and the music score is perfect.

Suzzanna: Buried Alive (2018)

The production quality is definitely there.. but it fell short in the comedy department. Luna and Herjunot is top notch. The supporting cast is excellent. What didnt quite work is the pacing of the film. the flow is not working. most of the time it feels quite loose. Where there are moments for comedy.. it didnt go all the way. In that sense, the fault lies in the direction. It should have been made more scarier, mysterious, gory.. more of everything and edited tighter. Overall its still watchable. Pengabdi setan is more well put together..

Amateurish assassination attempt by trained commandos??

Wow.. i just felt i have to share this thought. if this is based on true accounts, the second hitman should have finished the job. The hand grenade exploded but boy was i underwhelmed. the blast was too small and he could have used his gun to shoot point blank at that guy anyway... just him against a guy who had just been blasted. and yet he failed. definitely a face-palm moment in history.

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Overrated thriller.. don't understand the fuss

Some 20 plus years ago, I watched this movie. I was bored. I went to see "Seven". It had suspense and puzzle pieces. But still it left me wondering why it was well loved. Then few years later I watched "Henry portrait of a killer". Now this blew me away. So if you're looking for a good serial killer movie. Go for Henry.

Bloodrunners (2017)

Right of the bat, i could not tell if this was prohibition 2020 or the 1920s. Getting mixed signal about that direction there. You also get to meet Ice T with a big fat diamond earring which i guess men back then wear. The dialogue from the first officer yapping away sounds 20th century. The editing where the singer performs one song had multiple annoying dissolves. And then we are back to the past when the waitress talks with 1920s accent. Confused... could not watch it. Oh don't forget the vampire who did the matrix move in the bed scene. Now if this movie is told and shot and edited.. in the classic way, i bet there is a descent movie in there somewhere. I have to fail this one. Next project please

A snooze with messy story telling

I don't usually write reviews. But this one is so bad that I feel the need to write one. This movie plays out like in a slow mo. Bad editing. Bad direction. It's too bad that the quality of the production and acting is top notch. Just let down by poor vision of the director. The tv re enactment bits was so amateurish and again loose.. plays like slowmo. And the timeline between the now and the tv documentary is confusing... a re write and a better director would make this watchable. As it is now it's a mis opportunity

Trainwreck (2015)

more a chick flick... NOT BAD REALLY

Good movies have a heart in the center of the story. Fortunately this one has it. A lot of the negative review here seems to suggest that they can make a better movie. Well have you made one recently?

I like all Judd Apatow movies. It has good story. And its got heart. 2 combinations necessary for selling tickets.

The start got off on the wrong foot for me. Why was i not enjoying it? Then it hit me that if it was Adam Sandler doing all those sex jokes, i would have dug it more. Adam Sandler jokes is written mostly for guys.

So in the same way, this is written for the ladies. After i got pass that, it was a lot easier for me to digest the movie.

Everything ties in nicely at the end. From the start when the father instills some negative outlook about monogamy marriage to the very end when she overcomes her fear of commitment to one man, its really quite nice. Something i would like to do in my own movie.

well done.

Pernicious (2014)

bad amateurish movie

i watched it because the movie poster boasts some respectable endorsements. Then the movie starts... its all downhill from here. wait its in digital.. a HDcam movie. As soon as the opening starts, you feel kinda nauseous. Something felt amiss. It doesn't feel normal. Not movie like. The amateurish camera angle gave it away. Amateurish editing inter-cutting with the drone cam really shows that this guy doesn't know his stuff. BTW, the overhead shot really sucks. The opening scenes where you see the actresses talking without audio should really tell you of what is to come. Its like someone forgets to record the sound. The movie really got worst. I could not get past the first 8 minute. Felt sorry for the actresses for believing in the director.

Prometheus (I) (2012)

Another Sci Fi Classic

If you are looking for an all-out action movie like Aliens, you will be disappointed. However if you are into something new, then what it offers is a total sci-fi experience and the best one yet this year. Everything on screen is believable. Creatures look so real and you will appreciate that its not a man-in-costume type of alien. The story tied in with the first Alien movie very nicely indeed. All in all, a fantastic job from all department. and yes! i want to see the unedited version. However there are a few things i don't quite comprehend. What happens to the engineer that swallowed a liquid and died in the waterfall? And really? what is the purpose of the recorded hologram of engineers running into the chambers of baby pods? Maybe all will be revealed in the directors cut. Great job by the visionary director!!

Warrior (2011)

almost a classic

This is the best movie about MMA fighting. It is definitely not better than "The Fighter" or "Rocky". I wish it was the best but it wasn't. I'm sorry. Where did it fail? The weak script is partly to blame. Go back to "Rocky" and see what made it a classic. There's not enough establishing wide shot to make it a classic. If you watch spielberg's movie than you know what i'm talking about. The first half was good. But the second half started to play like a music video right up to the brothers duel. Not enough clever and powerful dialogues to fill the last 30 minutes. Even the fight announcements from the ring masters would help. Its just too silent for me towards the end. So that emotional ride for me got lost. A little bit more wide shot of the actual fight would be contribute would make it more real. See "rocky" and "the fighter" All in all a very good job! Make the sequel a classic please !! yay
