Birds of Prey (2020)

Messy, yet enjoyable cringe fest
18 August 2020
I saw this movie back when it came out opening weekend in theatres, but I came out confused as to what I saw and I didn't know how to explain myself to why I didn't enjoy the film as much as I should've. Now that it's on HBOMAX, I gave the film a second watch and all the light bulbs lit up.

What this film truly lacks is execution and giving certain characters an intriguing arc that actually makes you care about them. Three characters come to mind, two of them being the villains. Roman Sionis (Black Mask) and the creepy yet intriguing character Victor Zaz are a few minor grievances. Zaz was an interesting character, but wasn't explored as much as he should have been. He was mainly put in for the fans of the comics who know his character. Black Mask though started off very well. Ewan McGregor is a fantastic actor, but about halfway through the movie the writing team failed to make him feel like a threat and really just let him just be evil for the sake of being evil, which is really pointless and makes the conclusion fairly unflattering. The character with the biggest problem is by far Huntress aka Helena Bertanelli. The writing team really failed her as a character. She worked better as a mute character earlier on, but when it came to her dialogue, it just all fell flat and really didn't make me care for her. She was treated as a bit of a gag and that was just unflattering when the characters tried to tell us, the audience, how bad ass she is. Her character just fell flat the minute she started speaking.

Other characters aside are mostly good to fantastic. The character Dina Lance was done pretty dang well. She had a purpose and did leave some intrigue to those who aren't familiar with her character so later in the movie when her big moment comes to shine, it truly pays off. Renee Montaya is your typical cop from any tv show or movie, but they run with that gag throughout and it just works with her character. I reall just wanted more of her honestly. Now it comes down to Harley Quinn herself, the true star of the film. Margot Robbie truly embodies the character that is Harley Quinn and works with it amazingly! Much better performance than Suicide Squad and even in that film she was the highlight.

Other than the characters, the story itself had promise and a vision. The problem there is that they tried to do too much and make the film too lighthearted at times. That truly made the film feel off balance and kind of confusing. Especially when they start throwing in other side stories to make certain characters relevant. These ideas were good ideas, just executed at the wrong times. A good amount of what happened in the movie honestly should've been planned to be in the sequel. Let's face it, there's gonna be a sequel. What they should've done instead was give us more time to develop the 3 main characters that matter as well as more exposition on Black Mask as a character with his motives to help the plot feel more genuine.

Is there fun to have with this film? Yes. Will everyone like it? No. Does the good outweigh the bad? For me yes, but that's truly based on personal opinion.

If you can't sit down and try to have fun with this movie, then I can promise you that you won't like it that much. Is it worth the watch though? Yes, just go with it and maybe you'll be surprised. Find your own opinion and don't completely rely on what others say

Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part One (2020)
Season 12, Episode 1
8/10
Thrilling, Fun and Twisty!
2 January 2020
This episode definitely isn't what I would call a masterpiece. Story and script wasn't perfectly written or executed, but it definitely did what it had to.

The spy aspect was thrilling and fun and constantly had me on the edge of my seat with questions. Entertaining for sure throughout and the best performance of Wittaker as the infamous Doctor to date.

Plenty of fan service was placed throughout to keep us excited and very hopeful for a fantastic new season. Fingers crossed. And the twist at the end truly through me off guard. I didn't expect that. A fun time for sure. It's nice to see the show feel like New Who again.

A clunky but fun and enjoyable mess.
20 December 2019
J.J. Abrahms had a lot to deal with after Ryan Johnson's audience flop, but kind of like me and many others this is and will be very mixed amongst fans. I feel that most fans will feel more favorable towards this movie in the end rather than against it.

How do I feel though? Well, the first half is just so clunky that the direction is kind of mixed up. This is both JJ's and not his fault at the same time. JJ was supposed to only work on The Force Awakens, but because of Johnson's direction and complete turnaround of direction, Abrahms had to come back and try to fix it up as best as possible. The first half is doing it's best to mend these pieces together. It is clear where most of the major plot points of the first 40 minutes should have really taken place in a version of The Last Jedi where something actually happened. It's really sad to see that they had to do it the way they did for this movie, but it had to be done. Most of it lands, the rest you tend to forget about until after the movie.

It's truly about 40-50 minutes in where this movie should have really picked up on. The rest of the film could nearly be flawless, at least with the general story. It's a pretty dang solid one as well. Truly does conclude the saga quite nicely and definitely left some great and memorable fight scenes that will definitely stick with me throughout the years.

Some of the more specifics (without spoilers) that are quite good is the chemistry between the main characters. The best chemistry is definitely between Driver and Ridley. Their character arcs have definitely had the most development throughout this trilogy and that's a good thing because the are indeed the most important roles. I'm not hating on Po or Finn though. Their bromance is better than ever and I love every moment that the two of them are on screen. The last part that is clear, is that it is just a stunningly beautiful movie. The locations and cgi are just fantastic and just so clean shot that it definitely feels like the movie belongs in this franchise.

My final words and conclusion is that the movie may have a bit of a messy and rushed set up, but still has the heart of Star Wars at it's roots. Don't be afraid to go see the movie for yourself and form your own opinion. It's not for everyone, but anyone can still have fun and enjoyment in this wonder conclusion to the Skywalker Saga.

Unexpectedly Enjoyable!
7 December 2019
To start, I almost had no interest in even watching this show originally because I thought it was just going to be childish and cheesey. Then I decided to give it a shot and boy I can tell you that it's by no means boring or bad. It is clearly cheesey, but the show is well aware of that and firmly embraces it. The acting is really good actually, specifically the kids. I'm actually more invested in this show more than I should be, honestly. It is definitely a good time, especially if you are just looking for something lighthearted and fun.

Nancy Drew (2019–2023)
6/10
Just another series trying to be edgy.
30 October 2019
Nancy Drew is for sure something I very vaguely knew about. My mother has read the books and I knew based of that that Nancy Drew novels were mysteries. Other than that knowledge, I didn't know much. Unlike the parallel show of a similar style, Riverdale, this show is iffy at best. Young, not very too known actors and actresses were definitely necessary for this show, because they thought it could flop (it probably won't though because of the general audience being teens and tweenagers).

Just the pilot alone set the tone for this series. Dark, edgy, pushing sexuality. The one thing though, is that there was so much that was predictable from the beginning. Aside from that, I felt like the casting was decent. Fairly talented actors and actresses, minus the fact that I wasn't convinced about how old they were supposed to be. There is definitely something to be told in the series but in reality, it just wasn't made for me. Do I personally care for this show that much? Ehh... Will I continue watching it? Probably not.

Final conclusion though, don't watch it unless you are a teenager who loves these CW teen dramas or you just enjoy these types of shows to begin with. Not for me

A Decent Start!
8 October 2019
To start, this show so far isn't bad. All these bad reviews are mostly coming from the fact that they truly shoved the LGBTQ pride stuff in our face immediately. I get and understand that, but the show really isn't that bad other than that. Simple basic structure of your typical Arrowverse show. From a start, it felt like Arrow in certain ways. That may be reason why the show is criticized, but that's why it's just a decent start. It's not absolutely mindblowingly fantastic, but the show does have promise. I can't wait to tune in every week to check this show out. Maybe you should as well

Big Hero 6: The Series (2017–2021)
7/10
A good time for sure!
26 March 2019
This show isn't perfect by any means, but definitely has a spark that kids will love! With it being a show on Disney XD it is definitely aiming much more to the kids than the adults, so that is something to remember when going into the show. Once you have that in mind, it will be easier to watch this show.

The series picks up right after the movie, and really does a good job with it. The series doesn't get as serious as the movie, but it's not trying to be. Many new interesting characters are introduced, while some others tend to be a little flat.

Those problems are small to none, but the series is for sure a good time once you get in touch with your inner child. I can't wait to see where this series goes.

Spider-Man (2017–2020)
7/10
It gets better, believe me.
19 July 2018
This show is definitely not what Spider-Man needed to be redeemed from Ultimate Spider-Man series, but in ways is just as good or maybe a bit better. Unlike Ultimate Spider-Man, this show is a little more serious and yet not as creative in design. The character designs are pretty simplistic and almost every character is just a slightly different replicate of the other. One thing this show does have, is its ability to take things pretty serious for the most part and still stay true to a high school version of Peter Parker.

Some major issues that I have concern for is staying true to it's source material. Everything that happens and is placed in the show is from some form of comic, but not in a way that will please the fans of Spidey. Some of which includes Horizon High and Peter getting transferred from Midtown over to there for school instead (happens in first 2 episodes). There are other minor issues like that, plus the character development is either too weak or too fast-paced, at first. As this series progresses, you get to understand each character and get more and better development from the characters. Some other character arcs I feel were pushed too far in advanced or just too predictable, especially if you are a fan of the comics. What I mean is there are characters that you may know to develop and become a villain later in the show.

The good thing about this show is that it is enjoyable and really embraces and focuses on Spider-Man at it's core rather than universe building. Don't get me wrong, there is some of that, but its not as forceful as Ultimate was. It definitely almost feels like Disney is trying to look at Spectacular Spider-Man and their Ultimate series, and they are trying to take the good from both. At first I failed to see any success in that, but as you delve deeper into the series, it really pays off. You get a lot of unique story arcs and lesser known characters and villains making their debut and it's more exciting than I thought. Still not a "Spectacular," "Ultimate," or "Amazing" series, but for just being labeled as a basic Spider-Man, it really is pretty basic.

PS: Ultimate Spider-Man did not live up to it's name

Good movie, good Batman, not the Joker I was hoping for
6 August 2016
Yes, this review is a little late, but I don't care. I just wanted to get out my view on Heath Ledger's take on the Joker. First off, he did a good job at the part he was trying to portray. That role he was playing though just wasn't the Joker. It was a much scarier, creepy and super psychopathic version of the Joker that I have never seen in any versions of the Batman comics or any animated versions. When I want to see the Joker, I want to see the Joker. Not a Joker wanna be. This version of the so called Joker, I will admit is a much more darker version that fits the much darker setting that the trilogy was taking place in so, yes, that's why we don't see too many people complaining. I just wish Heath would have put a little more charisma into the character. Plus the whole story of his scars and smile, well that killed everything the Joker stands for and has never been stated anything like that in any comic book. Nolan did indeed put a good movie out there and Heath ledger definitely did a magnificent job playing a Joker wanna be.

So,.. If you're looking for a Batman movie that has the Joker in it, then go back and watch Michael Keaton's Batman because you aren't getting the Joker here.

Suicide Squad (2016)
6/10
Not anywhere near a perfect movie, but definitely worth seeing.
6 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
(The spoilers I talk about will not ruin anything for you. They are just minor.)

I would like to start off with about a year ago when I heard this movie was happening. I was already having bad thoughts about BvS and at the time I had no idea these movies were connected in the same universe. I was excited for this movie because Arrow gave me a brief and awesome look at what these guys are about. When I heard that Will Smith is playing Deadshot, I thought,"What the hell is wrong with these people? He's nowhere close to portraying Floyd Lawton/Deadshot." Well, over time the thought of him doing so kind of grew on me as I was seeing more of him in the trailers.

Now let's go back to about a week before the release. I'm super excited for the concept of the film and dying to see it to see how it turns out. At the same time starting to have doubts about DC's film making all because of the whole BvS travesty that we just don't talk about anymore. At this point, i just don't know what to think.

Now we're at the day I get to see it, August 6 at 8:30 PM. I sit down in a fairly packed theater and I watch the movie with my best friend. Bot me and him walked out of there thinking that it was a pretty good movie. That's saying a lot since he is the 50% that didn't care for BvS and I was on the other half trying to shine some light on it.

Now, the movie.

There were a lot of good things about this movie. Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was perfect and Will Smith, just wow! Much better than I thought. Just at times he was a little too Will Smithy. Those 2 characters summed up most of the movie. Everyone else did a fine job portraying their characters. Oh, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller was exactly what this movie needed. She was exactly that bad ass bitch that she needed to be.

The things that weren't as good about the movie is that it was maybe a little too fast paced at times and has a couple minor plot holes. Those can easily be bypassed though if you don't think too much of it.

Now, I will talk about and argue about the things other people are complaining about and saying why the movie is terrible, which is false.

1. It feels like multiple movies trying to be one.

I understand why people think this, but it just really doesn't feel that way. Yes, the Joker has a romantic background story with Harley Quinn and they want to show that in flashbacks a bit to show a bit of her origin to lead up to where she is now. People are saying that could easily be a whole other movie. Lie!! If DC tried to do such a thing it would be long, boring and dragged out a lot because there would have been a lot of filler scenes that just wouldn't make sense.

2. The Joker doesn't get enough screen time.

Well, no crap! This movie isn't about him. Its's about the Suicide Squad. Yes, Harley Quinn and him have their thing going on, but that is the sole purpose of him being in the movie. To acknowledge that he exists in this world and to help give Harley Quinn her background story even more.

3. DC Sucks and should just quit trying.

That's right people. Trolls exist. They just want to get people rattled up for no reason to a point where people will actually believe them. If you truly believe that you have a brain of your own, then don't let others persuade you you morons.

Well, that's my review. My best suggestion is to just go in there and see the movie even if your slightly interested. If you truly believe that this movie looks completely stupid and waste of your time from the trailers, then superhero movies aren't for you and you probably won't enjoy it as well as others.

"Fantastic?" not really... But it is pretty good!
8 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I remember when the 2005 adaptation of the Fantastic 4 came out. It never seemed all that amazing to me at the time, so I didn't even ever think about watching it, at least until Silver Surfer came out. I watched both of them but I wasn't really all that impressed. Jessica Alba though was pretty hot though.

When I saw the trailer for this movie, I thought immediately, "Oh, okay. A reboot. I hope it's good." I was pretty excited, especially since the media was making a pretty big deal about it prior to it's release this past summer. It wasn't until after it's release that I wasn't as excited, but still curious. It took me a while to actually see the movie and come up with my own opinion.

Well, I've seen the movie and all I can say is I love the characters. They really chose a wonderful cast. Doom was perfect and I loved how they made his character out to be a bit of a bad attitude a-hole off the bat. I just wish they showed more character development of him becoming Dr. Doom himself beyond the portal.

Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic, was casted very well. Miles Teller is a magnificent actor and I hope to see more of him in other movies soon, but he really embraced himself as a young Reed. It was almost as if he was made for the part.

Susan Storm, The Invisible Woman, was good as well. Kate Mara fit the part pretty well, she just didn't have too much dialogue and they could have done a lot more with her than they did with her and her brother Johnny.

Johnny Storm, Human Torch, was amazing! Michael B Torch did a wonderful playing the role of this headstrong character. Honestly, I would have never even thought of him as The Human Torch, but he really does pull it off.

Ben Grimm, Thing, was pretty good. He didn't come across a the right guy at first, but as you watch the movie, you see that he does a good job. Also, I love the way Thing actually looks, when compared to the other version of Thing.

The characters were by far the best part. The story could have been better, but it's not bad at all for being an origin story. I hate movies that are meant to be origin movies, and yet jump right into the character right away. The 2005 adaptation did that and I din't like that at all. Same goes with Spiderman. The first one, not the "Amazing" series with Garfield. This movie had a pretty good pace to it for being an origin story and had it's potential, but I guess it was too dark for most people to handle. Plus critics and most people are very stubborn and are always dying for action and CGI. Well, guess what. You get some, but you can't just go into a movie and say it's crap because it lacks a lot of action packed scenes. People really need to grow up and understand what actually makes movies good.

8 out 10 stars for me. Please, actually consider this review and give the movie a chance. Everyone is subject to their own opinion. Go get your own.

What did I just watch?
23 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not saying the pilot was bad or anything, just too much. About 1/3 funny or good, 1/3 crap, and 1/3 just plain messed up. For a prime time sitcom, it isn't bad in a sense of some humor and randomness but there was just so much thrown into one episode. The whole Fozzy Bear and his girlfriend thing should have been one topic for one show and not thrown in with Kermit's and Miss Piggy's drama over the break-up and all. Plus now Kermit is dating another pig and the whole Elizabeth banks thing was just over the top stupid!

I could have lived with that a bit, but what really got me was the script. The script was a show aimed for purely an audience of 13-25 year olds when what we really needed was a script understandable for kids under 13 and the general adult fan base who originally grew up with the Muppets. What I am saying is that the script was very inappropriate for the Muppets. I still see potential in the show, but they really need to get things straight on who the main audience really is and what they really want to see.

Not the best... But still worth the watch for those who like the books.
24 July 2015
One thing I believe people should always do before they go see a movie is to go in there with not much expectation of a movie. Many of the reviewers here went to see this movie expecting it to be awesome and were disappointed or didn't expect it to be that great and thus saw all the faults rather than the strengths that still brought the movie to light. I am a huge fan of both the books and the movies and am always going to see plenty of movies when I can. My review isn't just my thoughts and opinions, but more of an influence on why you should give the movie a chance.

First, we should focus on what a lot of movie goers want in a film and how you should approach this movie. If you haven't read the series, it may seem like Jennifer Lawrence is a terrible actor, when in reality that's just her role in the film. Pick up the book and read it and you will understand her part a lot better. The dialogue may come across as weak, but you need to understand what is going on a bit by reading the book. You won't get a full understanding until then, because the book is from Katniss' point of view and you are reading her thoughts and feelings the whole time. Also, a lot of you people may be all about the action, fighting, and explosions. If that's really all you look for in a movie, then you don't know what you're talking about this being a bad movie.

When you look at it from the book's perspective, you get your typical book to film movie. Hollywood almost never takes a book word for word and screws something up that people don't like. I'll admit there were definitely parts that they cut out of the book that I think they shouldn't have, but they did add things in for some of you just movie goers so you will understand what's going on a little better. The one thing I liked about the movie when comparing it to the book is that it still grabs the main and general concept of the first half of the book. The book is by far the weakest of the 3 in the trilogy in a sense that it is drawn out a bit and may come across a as boring sometimes, but when you look down deep enough it does have a strong story. The story is definitely still being told in the movie.

I enjoyed the movie for the most part, but like the book it had it moments when it was a little boring. All these other reviews are strongly exaggerated with how boring and how stupid and pointless the movie is, but they are all just opinions. Also, there are always trollers who just hate everything so you can't always trust what other people think. Watch the movie for yourself and develop your opinion on the movie.

I give this title 7 stars for a decent movie of a decent book.

Best Episode By Far!!
17 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge Boy Meets World fan. I grew up with the later seasons and I have also watched every episode. This episode of Girl Meets World just blew me away!! My favorite cameo by far and a great lesson for Riley and Maya. I knew they were referencing Mr. Turner and I knew Mr. turner was coming back for a cameo sometime this season, so I just knew it had to be soon. SPOILER!: He made his appearance. I knew he was coming in when they said one magical line in the show. I will not tell you what it was, I already spoiled enough for you. But.... If you are a giant Boy Meets World fan, watch it!

So,... Based off of my opinion, I give it 10 stars, 100 cookies and a wonderful review. Watch the episode. You won't regret it.

Ned's Declassified... 10 Years Later
8 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I know it's been a little over 10 years since Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide first premiered, but it was still running new episodes 10 years ago. This show has a lot of the same feelings that NDSG had back when I watched it during my middle school years. This show has three best friends similar to the gang of Ned, Moze, and Cookie from the first show. This time we have CJ, Crispo, and Fenwick.

CJ (Ned equivalent)- 7th grade girl all excited about high school thinking it's gonna be great and amazing. Her brother informs her that it isn't gonna be all great and she will probably lose all her friends. She decides to do whatever it takes to make her middle school years last forever by coming up with a giant list of things to do with her friends to help keep their friendship together. She sort of explains everything to us throughout the show, sort of like Ned did.

Crispo (Moze equivalent)- 7th grade boy who has been Cj's friend ever since she saved his life from chocking on a toy back in Kindergarten. Used to have a dorky haircut and braces. He got his braces taken off, and took styling advice about his hair from CJ. He becomes popular and known throughout the school on their first day back. Seen kind of as the cool one, a lot like Moze was.

Fenwick (Cookie equivalent)- 7th grade boy who has been friends with CJ and Crispo since Kindergarten and is the smart brainy one of the group. A little goofy at times and doesn't mind getting involved in schemes at times and yet concerned about getting into trouble at the same time, a lot like Cookie was.

So as we see, we practically have the whole gang back together again, with a couple little twists in there. Similar idea with them being in middle school, trying to survive in a sense of trying to make the most out of what they have. Non the less, this show was created by the person who created Ned's Declassified and Big Time Rush, so if you were fans of those shows then you will recognize a lot of the same sound effects.

This show is definitely worth watching if you were originally a fan of Ned's Declassified. Still it isn't as good, but is almost as good. Definitely a good show for kids to if you like little goofy antics of kids getting into trouble and all that middle school stuff. The show is for sure a good show, so give it a chance.

Not just your average kids show!
23 June 2015
When I first heard about this show I didn't know what to think. A couple of my college friends told me about it and suggested I should watch it. I couldn't believe it myself that they even watched it and enjoyed it, until I finally decided to watch the first episode.

Yes, the target audience is mainly young pre-schoolers and little girls, but as a 22 year old I got hooked. It has the same feeling as a 90's Saturday morning cartoon and is definitely unique. Being that the first episode is part 1 of a 2 part special, I had to watch the second episode.

So, before you go and assume it's just another kids show, you should know that people of all ages watch this. My 6 year old cousin didn't seem to understand that and she made fun of me, but I didn't care.

Great morals, well developed characters, great stories, and creatively well drawn. This is a cartoon not to miss.

Not bad at all. Could have been better though.
18 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, there is no such thing as a perfect movie. Also, everyone has different taste in movies, so you can't trust everyone. Take it from someone who will watch any type of movie (me). I will literally watch anything from Sci-Fi, to horror, all the way to chick flicks and children's movies. I enjoy movies of all types.

I always enjoyed the Transformers movies, but many of the other ones dragged on quite a bit and I started to lose interest in them at times. Age of Extinction was different. This one was able to maintain my attention the whole time and definitely a lot of non stop action and awesome effects, all thanks to Michael Bay.

The only thing I didn't care for was the plot. There were a few holes in it that made me wonder "Why Kade Yeager?" (Mark Whalberg). There was no real true connection to bring him and his daughter into the plot. I think there should have been a better reason to have him other than the fact that he is an inventor good with robotics who just happens to find Optimus Prime hiding in disguise from humans. To me it's just a little weak. The acting wasn't bad, but the idea of a reincarnated Megatron (Galvatron) was pretty damn sweet! The return of the decepticons is on it's way.

Amazing? Indeed it is!
25 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Unlike a lot of people, I really enjoyed the The Amazing Spider-Man (first movie). I thought that the reboot was necessary for a couple reasons. One, the original series couldn't go anywhere and they were stuck in a rut with this amazing superhero, and two, the original series wasn't very good, at all. Face it, Toby Maguire was not meant to play Spider-Man. I'm not saying Andrew Garfield is the perfect Peter Parker/Spidey, but he definitely does a much better job. Like I said I really enjoyed the first movie. The only thing I questioned was, "Is The Amazing Spider-Man 2 going to be just as 'amazing' as its predecessor."

I was worried about that question, and now I have a response to that question. It was even more "amazing" than the first one! I love what they did with Jamie Fox and his Electro costume. It was funny when Spider-Man referred to him as "sparkles." I thought that the story was well planned out and was definitely paced out well. I look forward to seeing what they will do in the future of Spider-Man, and even in their spin-off plans with "The Sinister 6" and "Venom." Spider-Man truly is amazing!

So far so good. Keep it up!

Warning: Spoilers
I grew up watching Boy Meets World every Friday night on ABC. A couple years ago I started watching reruns on both ABC Family and MTV2. As soon as I heard about this spin-off, I almost couldn't believe it. I thought it won't nearly be as good as BMW. I was still excited though. I actually had more confidence in this show than all of my other friends who liked BMW. I've been trying to get as much scoop as possible on when and where it will air.

When I heard it was going to air on Disney Channel I was disappointed. I knew that they were going to dumb it down a lot since Disney is a kids channel, but I knew what they were going for. LOTS OF VIEWERS! Disney already owns ABC so that doesn't make a difference, but they knew that they will get lots of kids excited for a new show and also bring in the views from older BMW fans that may be excited also. That I believe is why it was put on Disney Channel. The main thing I didn't like about the Disney Channel thing is that many adult themes that were used in BMW won't appear, but since ABC is owned by Disney they may pick it up and continue the show after a few seasons.

The main thing that you care about though is what I thought about the very first episode. I thought it was pretty good. Cory and Topanga (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishell) of course are back as parents raising their 13 year old daughter Riley and her younger brother Auggie. They definitely have the same personalities as they did in BMW and helps give that BMW feel once again. Riley's best friend Maya is like Shawn's younger female doppelganger. I clearly saw Shawn from the beginning by her personality and everything. That gave me that BMW feel again. It's like Cory and Shawn back together again, except it isn't. This is Girl Meets World, not Boy Meets World Part 2 - Grown Up! People may be upset that there wasn't enough Cory and Topanga in the first episode, but it's not about them anymore. It's the adventures of Riley and Maya now. Also, people may be upset that the first episode was more about Maya than Riley. Well, there were episodes of BMW when Shawn played a bigger role than Shawn. If you think about the show was called Boy Meets World, which means it could have been about Shawn, Cory, or even Eric because they were all boys. My point is they don't specify which girl or boy is meeting the world when in reality the all should be since they are all young, stupid, and learning very meaningful lessons.

I thought Girl Meets World was good. I am definitely looking forward to future episodes. I rated the show only 9 stars because Boy Meets World is still better. I highly suggest you give this show a shot. Just keep watching. Most pilot episodes aren't always the best, but the others really determine everything.

Stop whining!

Warning: Spoilers
You guys should really stop looking for the bad in every single superhero movie. This movie is by far THE BEST X-MEN MOVIE OF ALL TIME. Many of you guys may disagree. People who are comic book freaks will complain about Wolverine going back in time instead of Kitty like in the comics. Others will complain that the dialogue of the movie is terribly scripted and that there isn't enough action. Well, the only reasonable excuse is the first one the comic book freaks may have. The other ones are all completely false.

Many people come here and write bad reviews purposely because they complain about everything and try to find the bad in everything because they themselves aren't happy with their lives. These are known as "Haters" for those who don't already know. Do not trust these guys.

X-Men:Days of Future Past is indeed a wonderful movie. I highly suggest you see it if you have not already. Great story, wonderful acting, great fighting scenes, amazing heroes (both old and new), and of course the great and sexy Jennifer Lawrence at it again. My favorite addition were the scenes with Quicksilver. Too bad he couldn't have stuck around for the whole movie, but I sense he will be back in future X-Men movies. I hope they will be just as good or possibly better than this one.

Well, I hope you guys who haven't yet seen the movie will seriously consider seeing it. I saw it in 3D, which really isn't necessary but it put the movie in a whole new dimension! (Get it? Dimension?) The movie would have been just as amazing if I didn't see it in 3D. Well, stop reading this review and see the movie. NOW!

Now You See Me (I) (2013)
10/10
There is no such thing as a terrible movie. Some are just better than others.

Warning: Spoilers
When I first saw this movie advertised on television I thought to myself, "Is it worth it? There aren't too many magician movies that are good." The only reason why I watched it to begin with, was that Morgan Freeman is in it. I know that's a lame excuse to watch a movie, but if you think about it, Morgan Freeman has played many magnificent roles. He was God for crying out loud in Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty. Bruce Almighty being better of course, but the point is Morgan Freeman is a magnificent actor and he always does a great job in all the movies he makes an appearance in.

In Now You See Me, Morgan Freeman is different. He did do a good job, but so did all of the other actors (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco). Everyone did a magnificent job putting this movie together and I saw a lot of teamwork make this movie "blow my mind." Yes, I just used that saying, "blow my mind." There were a lot of amazing magic tricks performed like the robbing of the bank. That involved a lot of work and it was complete amazement.

I am not saying that this movie is amazing, but I am saying that this movie itself is a magic trick. It is to make you believe that the movie is indeed amazing because of all the amazing tricks that have been done. That is the cover of the whole movie to hide the fact that it lacked a good story line. They made you think there was something worth watching and kept you watching it with the magic tricks and the action. It did keep me interested and I did enjoy the movie because it pulled me in enough to watch all the way until the end.

I did read through a lot of these reviews already and many stated that the ending isn't good and that you shouldn't watch the movie because the movie ends with no real ending. That is what the movie wants you to think. If you think about it the movie title is missing part of the classic saying. It is missing a, "now you don't." You may wonder, "Why am I reading this review? What are you getting at?" I am saying, this isn't over. There is more to come. Does that mean there is going to be a sequel to this movie? Not necessarily. I sense that may be possible, but more probable of a children's television show with more adventures to come among the four great magicians.

Like I said before. This isn't an amazing movie, but it is amazing at the same time. I rate it 10 stars because it did blow my mind and because it showed me what real amazement is. It's not about how good of a story line or how the acting is. Well, it sometime is about the acting, but everyone did do a great job, plus there is a surprising turn on Morgan Freeman in the movie that will blow your mind also. You should always remember to watch a movie with low expectations and be honest to yourself on how good it really is.

Graceland (2013–2015)
9/10
Good show!! Not what I expected.
24 June 2013
Warning: Spoilers
It's not my favorite show ever, but it is indeed a good show. Before i watched it I didn't think that it was going to be any good. It just didn't seem to appeal to my style. I am more of a Psych and Royal Pains type of guy, but I was still going to give it a chance. I always go by the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I watched the show and I was surprised. If you are reading this review right now it probably means that you have not yet seen the show, so I will attempt to drag you into watching the show in a brief summary without revealing too many spoilers so here it goes:

A regular guy by the name of Mike Warren has just become an FBI agent and wants to be sent to DC to work, but he is reassigned to go undercover in a investigation on a man named Paul Briggs at place in Southern California known as Graceland. Mike is to be trained under Paul and at the same time he is to investigate and make sure that Paul is doing his job. Paul and Mike's new roommates are all DEA and ICE agents who work undercover doing illegal things to help bust the bad guys who are all basically Mexicans, Russians and so on.

This all might sound a little confusing right now, but if you give the show a chance you will understand completely. So do it. Remember, don't judge a book by its cover or in this case don't judge a television show by your first impression of the commercials. Same idea, same meaning.

Ultimate Spider-Man (2012–2017)
8/10
Watch with low expectations. It's not as bad as everyone says.
20 May 2013
I wasn't so sure about this show at first. When I first heard about it I thought, "Why do they keep trying? They are just going to fail again." When I read the other reviews on here, I assumed it would be pretty bad, but it really isn't.

First, I'm going to talk about the weak parts. Don't expect me to know everything because I only saw the first 2 episodes so far, but do realize that this show is made for children. It's on Disney XD, so you can't watch it as an adult and expect it to be awesome. You have to bring out your inner child and watch the show as if you are that child you once were. I mention this because Spidey has many corny jokes that are childish. Even though they are, I still laughed at some and I am 20 years old. Also, it doesn't follow perfectly with the comics, so for you Spidey comic fans, don't be too upset with it. They are just trying to bring more children viewers.

The good parts of this show is that it kept me interested. The flashback/describing moments that Peter/Spidey has are well done and it is neat how they do it. You will know what I am talking about when you watch the show, which I suggest you do. It is a nice fast paced show and it has plenty of villains that make it very interesting. I know already that I am going to continue watching this series. I don't want to reveal anything about the show since I don't want to ruin anything, but I think Spider-Man could possibly be ultimate, as stated in the title.

In conclusion, the show has its moments and its weak parts, but all shows are like that. You can't create a perfect television show, especially a cartoon based off of a superhero. So, why not give it a try. I did with low expectations and I enjoyed it, so I hope you do also.
