The Avengers (2012)

Iron Man, Captain, Hulk, Thor - Great Movie!
9 September 2012
Aside from The Dark Knight Rises, this was probably the most waited movie of the year, was it the movie of the year? No, but it was still fantastic. Up there, there's a not very certain rate of this movie, but here's a true review of this movie. The Avengers was not so good as I expected to be, that I can admit, but I still loved it, I admired that Joss Whedon did a great job with the characters screen time, it all had a balance, so no character seems distant, that was a very important element of the movie, and they succeeded at not blow it up, that was a great thing they did. The Avengers is the reunion of Marvel's greatest heroes (Yeah, unfortunately there's no Spider man, well, he's probably only amazing for them and they needed great), so this movie needed memorable action scenes. Well, along the movie, there's some great action scenes, but they can't be compared to what they saved for the end, it was almost 20 minutes of fantastic action scenes, featuring Iron Man (at his best), Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. The special effects were tremendous, as they shoul be and they brought a very significant and pleasunt quantity of humour in this movie, that was really helpful and enjoyable.

Downey once again suits up as Iron Man, and he was amazing once again, bringing to the screen he's amazing sense of humour and smartness. Chris Evans wasn't at Donwey's same calibre, but he was still solid. Mark Ruffalo was amazing as The Hulk, his performance was very solid. Chris Hemsworth fired some good jokes along the movie, nothing more than that, I don't appreciate Thor that much. Scarlett Johansson was amazing and hot here as the Black Widow, which is a really strong character, by the way. Jeremy Renner was too distant, Tom Hiddleston wasn't an amazing choise to play the villain, Clark Gregg was great, Cobie Smulders was a surprise, I was seeing Robin turning into a serious secret agent, oh and L. Jackson was also great with his Nick Fury.

Overall, The Avengers is a great blockbuster, that didn't fail, Whedon's direction made this happening so good. Of course the story isn't amazing, they didn't care about an amazing story, only the union of these heroes. But The Avengers is not a perfect fairy tale, it also has its flaws, like, the long second act that was mostly placed at a submarine and weird enemies that bored he viewer when shown, but aside from that, The Avengers is a fantastic movie, that succeeds at uniting all these heroes together amazingly, it was amazing to seem all work together, The Avengers is not easily forgotten. Highly recommended, oh, and by the way geeks, this is the new geek porn.

Epic. Unforgettable. Masterpiece
5 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The Dark Knight Rises is Nolan's new masterpiece, a movie captures perfection in the acting, in the story, in the special effects, in the direction and in the soundtrack. I think The Dark Knight Rises is the best movie of the amazing trilogy (yes, I've seen The Dark Knight), why? Well, let's start with the acting:

Christopher Nolan brought a handful of amazing actors, some of them who star in his previous movie Inception. The people here are Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who had a fantastic performance, Marion Cottillard, Anne Hathaway, giving live to hard-personality Catwoman very well and Tom Hardy, playing the intense character Bane perfectly, dominating it physically and psychologically. Christian Bale is once again amazing with his Batman, Gary Oldman keeps acting well, Mr. Freeman also keeps being solid and Master Caine is still one of my favorite characters, playing one of the best characters of all time, a character with a big heart and personality, because of Caine.

The plot is amazing, in this series, the first movie is meant to be the BEGINS, then the FALLS and The Dark Knight Rises was meant to be the RISES, so it had to be epic, but it wasn't, it was beyond epic, it had a genially written story with a third act full of surprises and other feelings... because of Nolan, don't have a doubt.

And at last but not least, let's not forget Zimmer's terrific composing of multiple themes that accompanies the movies all along. Bottom line, The Dark Knight Rises is a masterpiece, it's once of my favorites and in a feedback of movies of this year so far, this one is 2nd best movie. Watch it!

Ted (2012)
7/10
Best Movie of All Time
15 August 2012
Ted is the BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME! Why? Well, here we go. Seth MacFarlane, the genius guy that created the legendary Family Guy, with a sense of humor that blew everyone away, he also created American Dad and The Cleveland Show, and in these three shows, he voices multiple characters with very different voices and he's just amazing. Seth decided to bring his enormous talent to the big screen. Ted is MacFarlane's first motion picture, where he takes care of the directing, the writing and voicing the hilarious teddy bear. In the end of the year, people will think what was the best movie of 2012, some will say The Dark Knight Rises, some will say The Hobbit, some will say The Avengers, some will say 21 Jump Street and some others, some others like me will say Ted. Ted is a fantastic mash of one of my favorite TV shows Family Guy sense of humor with a very smart plot.

John is an 8 year old kid with no friends at all. One Christmas, his parents give him a teddy bear. He wishes for him to come alive. That wish comes true and 27 years later, John (Wahlberg) and Ted (MacFarlane) are still best friends, they live together and their favorite hobby is smoking pot and watching Flah Gordon. But, John's girlfriend Lori (Kunis) wants them to move on with their lives and get Ted out of the house. John and Ted's friendship will be tested.

No one would not like to see a movie which concept is about a talking teddy bear that swears all the time, smokes pot and has sex with lots of women, including Norah Jones. MacFarlane used Family Guy humor in here, my favorite type of humor and it worked even better in here cause he made this movie rated R (restricTED) and that way he could go even further with the dirty and politically incorrect humor, in this movie we even see a grown man punching a young kid, and only a MacFarlane project could have that. He brought other things from his show, like Mila Kunis (Meg), Patrick Warburton (Joe) and Alex Borstein) and they were all very well used. Now let's talk about the cast, which was a very solid element of the movie, Mark Wahlberg was a superb choice, he keeps surprising me, since The Other Guys, I knew he was amazing with comedy and in here, he was terrific, he just had to make his Bostonian accent have more encases and he had a great performance where he fires off jokes all the time. Mila Kunis, my favorite actress, was also a perfect choice to be the mature of this weird trio, she was very good here and she was also pretty funny and Seth MacFarlane is also amazing voicing Ted, making a voice that sounds a little like Peter Griffin's voice mashed with Brian Griffin's voice and the movie also had amazing cameos. The jokes, well, let me put it this way, Ted is probably the most hilarious movie I've seen, it's a laugh-a-minute movie and each joke is hilarious and I'm a person that usually doesn't feel comfy at laughing at a theater in front of everybody, but this time, I couldn't help it, and although it wasn't that loud, I did laugh a lot, and if I was at home, the windows would break. Botttom line is, if you love Family Guy and MacFarlane's humor, you'll love Ted, it's a heart warming and also raunchy hilarious movie that I just loved, well, let me say it again: TED IS THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME.

Frank: You think you got what it takes?

Ted: I'll tell you what I got.Your wife's pussy on my breath.

Frank: Nobody has ever spoken to me like that before.

Ted: That's because their mouths were full of your wife's box.

Frank: You're hired.

Ted: Sh*t.

Great movie
2 August 2012
On top of this review there's a seven, but the truth is, I don't have a specific rate for this movie, I just think that The Amazing Spiderman is a great movie. From all the blockbuster's that we will have this year, The Amazing Spiderman will be distinguished from all of them by its humor, performances, actor chemistry, entertainment, heart, and of course, by being a spiderman movie.

Before I see it, it took me a little time to want to go see it, cause, I've seen all the previous spiderman movies and when I saw this movie's trailer with Garfield instead of Maguire, I thought to myself, that The Amazing Spiderman was just a stupid remake that I wouldn't to go see. Later, when I was invited to go to the movies, The Amazing Spiderman was an option of the viewing, I saw the new trailers, I read the reviews and it actually got me thinking that I should give it a shot.

I left the theater with a big smile on my face. The Amazing Spiderman is not an untold story, it's very similar to Sam's Spiderman, but it has many good qualities that I did not see in the original Spiderman. First of all, Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) fits better in the suit than Maguire, I admired his performance as the Peter Parker and Emma Stone, who you'd think that plays Mary Jane, actually plays Gwen Stacy, and her performance was also amazing, but I really admired was Garfield and Stone's tremendous chemistry, which was the back bone/heart/soul of the movie. Overall, The Amazing Spiderman wouldn't be the same with these two love birds in the film.

So, my thoughts are: The Amazing Spiderman convinces in the performances and in the amazing CGI effects. The action scenes weren't amazing at the ending but we can still get from a superhero what's most important, a well-told story, good performances by the cast and heroic scenes, and this movie had all of that. Marc Webb did a great job and I'm looking forward for the sequel.

Go watch it.

Project X (2012)
9/10
American Pie+The Hangover+Superbad+Chronicle=Project X=Fantastic movie
28 June 2012
Project X is epic! Todd Phillips produces it, the director of my favorite comedy movie, The Hangover, the legendary R-rated comedy. Project X is basically sort of the happenings before a hangover, well, it's more about crazy parties that turn into riots. I loved this movie, when I first watched the trailer, I thought this was going to be terrible, but after it was recommended to me, I decided to give it a try and I loved it. It's epic, it's crazy and it beats Chronicle considering that it's also a 'Found Footage' movie. You got to watch it, it's like the party that you'll never have but you can witness, I don't find this movie pointless or dumb at all. Since the very beginning to the very end, Project X is a wild and hilarious experience, I know I'm being a bit lame, but this movie is a crazy way to make the three main characters popular. Oh, and the soundtrack, well, the soundtrack rocks! Watch it if you haven't, one of the best movies of 2012 and one of the best R-rated comedies I've seen since The Hangover, oh, and definitely (so far), the best 'Found Footage' movie I've ever seen. Worth every minute, and by the way, Project also brought the Pursuit Happiness song to my ears. What a fantastic movie... R-rated at its best.

Thomas and his two friends are a group of unpopular teens that no one cares about unless if it's about mocking. Thomas' 17th birthday arrives and he's hosting a party at his house since that date is also his parents' anniversary. His dad leaves clear that he wants 5 people tops and no touching in his Mercedes. His friend Costa hires Dax to film the whole birthday and posts everywhere Thomas' party. When the party arrives, there's not even aproximendately a number of 5 people, but yes 15.000 people, including hot women and cool guys. Thomas will try to have fun and keep it under control, but soon, the party will turn into a riot, oh, and the Mercedes, well, the Mercedes will end up in the swimm... But still, this party will be a game changer for those 3 L's. To the break of dawn, yo!

Dad: I just didn't think you had it in you. Thomas: I know. Sorry I let you down. Dad: No, I literally didn't think you had this in you. So uh, how many people were here?

Thomas: Uh, 15 hundred. Couple thousand maybe. Dad: Wow. Thomas: You should have seen it. It was awesome. Dad: Well, you're still f*beep* Thomas.

*AWESOME*

Prometheus (I) (2012)
9/10
Ridley's Big Comeback
20 June 2012
Prometheus, where do I even begin for Christ's sake? I loved it. Although it gives us the questions that we want to be given the answers, they did not answer all of them that well, so I for my perspective there will be a sequel with all of that, but that doesn't matter, what matters is that Mr. Scott got back together with space, ships and aliens and he's done a terrific job, I'm serious, you know how much I liked it? I have doubts if Alien or even Aliens is better than Prometheus. That much. Prometheus has a terrific cast, this movie is full of amazing stars, the special effects are breath taking, the soundtrack is amazing and the premise and the story is brilliant genius, so by this I mean that the next time we'll see Prometheus will not be in a sequel, Prometheus, we'll see you at next year's Oscars. Prometheus was also scary, it had Alien(s) scare-caliber and it also had some gross-out scenes, but hey, this is Alien style, right? Sow, go watch it, if you loved Alien and Aliens you watch this right now and don't you dare to download it, it's not just an insult to all the work it was necessary to make Prometheus, you just have to watch it in a theater, cause not even a Blu-ray will give you half the feeling of watching in a theater, hearing the sounds, watching the sets and don't forget the 3D experience, which is just unforgettable, it was well used and it satisfied a lot, oh, and don't forget the fact that almost everyone went to see Alien or Aliens when it was young, so going to watch Prometheus is like a journey to the past with a little bit of future involved. It's so good, that I admit that Prometheus is the 3rd best movie of all time, trust me.

Ridley Scott is genius, his directing was marvelous, he's always amazing with movies, Blade Runner, Alien and Gladiatior showed that his brilliant and Prometheus shows how further he can go directing movies. Nommi Rapace takes the lead, I loved her performance, she was kind of this movie's Ripley and she also had Weaver's acting-caliber, she was truly amazing and I'm super glad they dragged her to Hollywood, she started with a foreign language movie, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, than they brought her to Sherlock Holme's sequel and than she worked her way to the top, she's now in a Ridley Scott directed movie that develops in Alien's same universe. Overall, I truly loved her performance, Noomi is the best. Michael Fassbender is spectacular, he was by far the best played artificial person/robot int the whole Alien saga and including Prometheus, he was excellent and Prometheus showed me that Fass will go far too fast. Charlize Theron had an okay performance, that's all. Idris Elba was fantastic, I loved his role as the captain of the ship, he was amazing and he played a fantastic character. Logan Marshall-Green was great too, I've seen him before and know I definitely know that he's a great actor, his performance was great.

2000's 80's. Elizabeth Shaw (Rapace) and (Marshall-Green) is a married scientist couple. When they find some clues about how we were created, they get a ship with a good crew and fly to space so the experience can be done. Most of the crew after 2 years sleeping in the ship finally wakes up because of the arrival to the destination. Jerkan (Elba) is the captain of the ship, Meredith Vickers (Theron) is the arrogant person in charge of the experiment, David is the robot, nearly a person that serves many requests, and the rest of the crew is completed by the Shaw's, Fifeild, Milburn, Ford and Ravel. When the expedition begins, everything starts to go bad and what was supposed to be the search for our beginning, could lead to our end. But will they find the answers of these questions. How were we created? When do we go when we die? They'll try to get those answers, but they'll soon try not too die.

The story is genius. It has some fantastic twists and it has some brilliant happenings. The characterization is also amazing, it's like echoed some actors with Alien's character's egos and it has a few big similarities to Alien, like the slow beginning, but later they finally 'take off' and we have a hell of movie with big thrills, scares and much more. But one of the highlights of Prometheus is the premise about those amazing questions that everyone would like to get the answer but it can't, and although there's many questions unanswered that I though it were going to be answered, in my opinion, will soon be answered, I hope so, by a possible sequel of Prometheus. And now, changing subject, I say it again, Prometheus is not an Alien prequel at all, it even ocurres years before Alien's happenings, I've seen many people thinking that, but it's not, they just share kind of the same universe and some similarities.

Arrested Development (2003–2019)
10/10
One of the Best TV shows that I can think of, if not the best...
7 June 2012
Arrested Development is a brilliant, hilarious and highly entertaining TV show with brilliant jokes and A+ twists that I would never think of. Anyway, I watched the entire show, I didn't miss an episode and I always had a great time, I can't believe they canceled it, they had Ron Howard's fantastic narrating, the great directing and the extraordinary cast, Jason Bateman, who's just fantastic, Portia de Rossie, that is also enjoyable, Michael Cera playing a tremendous part where he plays a troubled and harmless kid that is desperately in love with his cousin, there's also Will Arnett, who is also amazing, we also have Tony Hale as the unforgettable Buster, we have Jeffrey Tambor playing a tremendous role, so as we have much more good actors in the show and a bunch of amazing cameos. I highly recommend you to see this show, once you watch an episode, there's no way out.

"Now the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together. It's Arrested Development."

Leap Year (2010)
3/10
Tx2= Typical and Terrible
28 May 2012
Warning: Spoilers
What a terrible movie. They are still not aware that this has been made before, no one is, although there's no other version of Leap Year, I felt like I watched all that, the asked kiss from The Proposal, the arrogant American with the guy that mocks her all the time like in The Proposal, etc. This movie is 100% cliché'd, oh and don't forget about the ending, even if I wrote the ending I wouldn't have to write spoiler alert cause right when I watched the trailer I knew how was it going to wined up. Liked about it, well, I was entertained for 5 or 6 minutes during these 100 minutes and I laughed a couple of times, oh, and don't forget the good photography, but, what about the rest? The rest sucked, the premise, the acting, the storyline, the script, this couldn't possibly be worse, I'm tired of this and people who liked it are people that have seen so much of these unrealistic rom-com's that have been losing a few valuable IQ points. By the way, Amy Adams started a wonderful career, she started well with Charlie Wilson's War and with the amazing PG Disney comedy Enchanted, then she started to develop her career a little more and she starred in The Fighter where she left a sample of her big talent, I admired her career, but I can't believe she went for this, I hope this was just an exception, cause Adams is not the type of arrogant girls from rom-com's that at the end fall in love with her lift. About Matthew Goode, well, he was okay, he offered a few good gags like when he mocked the whole concept of the movie, saying that it was the stupidest thing he's ever heard (I laughed a lot about that), so yeah, he was good, so as for Scott, who never fails to make you laugh. Sow, don't watch Leap Year, it completely sucks and by the way, if you want to watch it because you have interest on the ending, well, let me give you a good piece of advice, watch the movie's trailer, take a look at the movie's poster and then go to a movie website, search for Leap Year, find it and take a look at the cast list and see the actor's order, I think you'll be able to get a 'little' idea of what happens at the end.

The Dictator (2012)
10/10
Dictator: Manages to make all the rules; The Dictator: Manages to make laugh... a lot!
19 May 2012
The Dictator is a fantastic movie. I've seen several movies this year, like This Means War and some others, one of them was The Hunger Games and I mentioned that The Hunger Games was the best movie of the year, well, now, I take it back. Why? Because I watched The Dictator, an offensive, politically incorrect but it's overall a comedy masterpiece and my 2nd favorite movie. It's hilarious and I laughed my ass off, but don't forget that I have a little regret about that, there's a lot of guilty laughs while you watch it, but, well, it's impossible not to laugh. Sacha Baron Cohen was terrific, he should get an Oscar for his performance, his voice, his beard and his ego were just fantastic, I completely loved his performance, he's a master of comedy. Overall, The Dictator is a spoof to politics, The Dictator is brilliant, it has brilliant jokes and fantastic performances by everyone, The Dictator is the movie of the year, whether you believe me or not, it's highly entertaining and it never fails to make you laugh every minute. This movie has no mature scene, only stupidity but we're still able to love it, The Dictator is a comedy classic and I'll never forget it, besides, it's without a doubt the best comedy/movie I've ever seen since Horrible Bosses. Here's a stupid, but also clever movie. The Dictator is hilarious and I say it again, The Dictator is my 2nd favorite movie and it's also (So far), the best movie of the year. I loved it. 2nd Favorite Movie of All Time.

Larry Charles did a terrific job with everything, the director of Borat and Bruno brought (Again) a fantastic R-rated movie with an amazing directing. Sacha Baron Cohen takes the lead as the now iconic character Admiral General Aladeen, his performance was remarkable, he was hilarious and showed us that he was definitely the best person to play this role, I'll never forget his amazing performance and I hope he gets a good award (nomination), Sacha is known from Borat, Bruno and Ali G. Anna Faris was great, her performance was solid and funny, she finally starred in the movie that is neither a Scary Movie nor a bad movie, she was great and a valuable person in this movie's cast, Anna is known from Observe & Report, Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs and some other movies. John C. Reilly also brings a very pleasant cameo that is enough to still you some laughs, some big laughs, like the racist joke, John is known from Step Brothers, Cyrus and some other movies. The main cast is great but Sacha is really the one who stands out, he was pure genius, but the rest of the cast also delivers good performances and laughs, we have Jason Mantzoukas, Kathryhn Hahn, Megan Fox and Ben Kingsley. Bottom line, The Dictator has a fantastic cast where Cohen has the chance to leave another sample of his giant talent, he was legendary. Terrific cast.

Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) is the dictator of the African country Wadiya. But, he's a bizarre dictator, he's slept with thousands of famous people, including Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan and Oprah, he changed more than 300 hundred words to Aladeen, he always wins the Olimpyc Wadiyan Games and he executes everyone who slightly disagrees or annoys him. Aladeen has to go to America, or UN was going to use military force to destroy Wadiya because of his nuclear program. Now, in America when he's able to escape from a murder attempt to him, he's now trapped in Manhattan with no beard and no one recognizes him. But still, he will not give up from not leaving the democracy coming to his country. (What I thought about the plot) The script is genius, I loved the script, it's just brilliant and don't forget that the characters were amazing, especially Aladeen. Sow, The Dictator's script is not stupid at all... well, it is, but shows the differences between democracy and dictatorship in a great way. The script also has some terrific scenes, like the wire scene, which is just idiotic and hilarious, the sights' helicopter scene, the Olimpyc Games scene and all the others are just amazing. The Dictator was amazingly scripted, it has a fantastic premise, amazing characters and superb details, I also loved the scene where they sort of answer to the question "Who is General Aladeen?" showing everything about his life, which was amazingly written. Terrific plot.

Besides all that, I am now going to tell you what I really thought about this movie. First of all, although it's racist, sexist and it has pee, sex and poop jokes you just can't not like it, this movie is brilliant and hilarious, it's impossible for you to stay a minute in this movie without laughing, it just kept so many jokes for you, hilarious jokes and you can't even believe how much smart jokes there were here. I highly recommend this movie, it's hard to digest but it it leaves you fully satisfied... like it did to me. Sow, The Dictator is definitely my 2nd favorite movie of all time it made me laugh countless times and it gave me the time of my life in a theater, I was fully entertained and I laughed a lot with this R-rated comedy that used the R for good.

Fantastic Heart Warming Dramedy
13 May 2012
Alexander Payne brought us a fantastic roller coaster of emotions. This is such a fantastic movie, it brings touchy moments, but it also has a few humorous moments. George Clooney is truly fantastic taking the lead in the story about Matt King, a fathered man of two girls, who's wife has just entered a coma and then he found out that she was cheating on him and now he'll have to replace his rough relationship with his two daughters by a good one, George was perfect as that guy, his expressions and his voice, he definitely deserved his Oscar-Nomination and I have doubts if he should win it or not...

Overall, The Descendants is completely worth it, it stands out at the BEST MOTION PICTURE NOMINEES, - Hugo, The Artist, The Help, The Tree of Life, Moneyball, THE DESCENDANTS, War Horse, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close- and I think that if The Artist didn't win the Oscar, it would fall on Hugo's hands or on The Descendants' hands. I highly recommend it, one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

The Artist (I) (2011)
9/10
French, black and white, silent movie... but still the Best Motion Picture Oscar-Winning movie of 2012
13 May 2012
The Artist is a masterpiece. Why?

1) The writing is fantastic and they were able to tell it through silence.

2) The performances are excellent, especially Jean Dujardin's performance, worthy of an Oscar.

3) Michel Hazanavicius directed perfectly, I'm glad he had his Oscar.

4) The soundtrack is beautiful and it gives this movie an amazing rhythm.

Overall, watch The Artist if you haven't, it's the Oscar'ized movie of 2012 and I respect that a lot, I loved this movie and although it's a silent movie, I could write a review about it with more than a thousand words.

6 (Very Low One)
13 May 2012
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close is stupid, I can't believe it received an Oscar-Nom. for Best Motion Picture and Drive didn't. This movie, is pathetic, childish and the only good things we can get from it are: the cast, we have Bullock, Hanks and the young kid who showed talent but never last for more than 5 minutes, the acting was okay, Bullock and the young kid were okay but Hanks was the most enjoyable, although if his character was a bit more explored, I think he could get an Oscar Nomination.

Overall,

Hugo - watch it

The Descendants - watch it

The Artist - watch it

The Tree of Life - watch it

The Help - watch it

War Horse - watch it

Moneyball - watch it

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close - don't, unless your anti-mad

Unfortunately Very Underrated!
29 April 2012
Let me cut the chase, I do know which movie I'm reviewing, I do give Dinner for Schmucks a 10 out of 10 and I do consider it my 6th favorite movie, let me tell you why. Dinner for Schmucks it's not only a clever, well-acted and hilarious comedy, it's comedy with lots of heart and although it's a bit stupid it's definitely my 6th favorite movie. Jay Roach (The Fockers) did a terrific job with everything. Steve Carell, well, I'll have to write about him on a single paragraph, cause he was just... Paul Rudd was great, he played mature and funny. Zach Galifianakis, well, I'll join him to Steve's paragraph. Sow, Dinner for Schmucks is a terrific movie, it's not for everybody but it is for me, it's a light-hearted hilarious and stupid comedy that I just have re-watched thousands of times and I can't seem to get tired of. The soundtrack by Theodore Shapiro was excellent and gave this movie a certain atmosphere that I just loved 100%, the song "Fool on the Hill" (The Beatles) right at the beginning is genius and along the movie goes on you find many appealing themes and then at the credits you here an amazing song from Theodore, overall, I loved the soundtrack. STORY: Tim (Paul Rudd) has a great job and a great girlfriend and they're both in a great place at life. Tim is about to get a new office and an awesome promotion, but first, he'll have to appear at his boss' dinner that he hosts once a month, that dinner consists on every worker bringing an idiot person and the most idiot person of the dinner will win. Tim was definitely not going, but later, he has second thoughts when he accidentally runs over Barry (Steve Carell), a harmless guy who's work is at IRS and who's hobby is to make sets and pictures with dead mice. MY OPINION: The plot was amazing, it was full of hilarious stuff and fun stuff, I loved it.

Steve Carell was purely fantastic, his glasses, his teeth and his blonde hair, he was just fantastic and he stole me a bit of oxygen if you know what I mean, Steve was extremely hilarious and no one could play his role better than he did, he was funny and idiot but he played a sweet guy that we all wish to meet, he was unforgettable. Zach Galifianakis was truly genius, his orange ... (I think it's worth being seen without knowing) and his hilarious laugh makes his performance be unique and highly unforgettable. The chemistry between Steve and Zach was fantastic and the scene where they both imaginary fight is a movie classic.

Overall, Dinner for Schmucks is my 6th favorite movie without any doubts, it's funny, heart warming, very well-acted, hilarious, entertaining, fun, very well directed, very well written and still, I don't know how is it so much underrated- Highly recommended. Unforgettable comedy. 6th Best Movie of All Time.

The Office: Goodbye, Michael (2011)
Season 7, Episode 21
10/10
One of The Office's Best Episodes/ One of The Office's Worst Episodes
26 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Let me tell you why, The Office is my favorite TV show, mostly because of Carell, and now, watching an episode where he leaves was just really... I don't know, first of all, I'm pretty sad that Steve left the cast, but, he was the one who wanted that, he's career is growing fast and he did good leaving, but not entirely, thousands of fans-including me-got really sad. Goodbye, Michael was a great episode and a great farewell to Steve, it still had its awesome humor but it also had the heartwarming moments and the sad moments. If you could see me watching this episode, you'd see a tear-eyed (Or probably really crying) for sometimes and sometimes you'd see a guy laughing in a nostalgic way that makes you sad but still satisfied. Bye Michael Scott/ Michael Scarn/ Michael Klump, etc. If you loved the show and you've watched all the episodes like I did and you laughed, you were heart warmed and all of that mostly by Steve, than prepare, cause this episode will test your limits, I'm not really guy that usually cries, but I couldn't help it, Goodbye, Michael is an episode that I'll never forget, I cried, I laughed, I was "nostalged" and think this was a perfect way for Michael to leave The Office. The show will never be the same, but well, it was terrific to watch these last 7 seasons and 21 episodes. This episode was heartwarming and sad when we saw Michael and it was funny when we saw DeAngelo (Ferrell) and obviously, Michael as well.

To Michael Scott: Michael Scott (Steve), I'll never forget you, your're a crazy boss and you picked the right woman and now I hope you're happy at Colorado, you provided us big laughs and tears and by the way, that thing that fits you better is your mug, that describes exactly what you are, "World's Best Boss".

Jim Halpert: Best boss I ever had.

One of the best episodes of the entire show, I loved it and now, to finish the review:

I'll miss you Michael.

Good, But Not a Marvel Classic...
26 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I liked it, it was just a matter of time for Marvel release a movie about a Captain America, and since we're close to watch The Avengers, it had to be done. I'm looking forward for The Avengers and I'm sure it'll be pretty good. Captain America: The First Avenger (By the way, I have no idea why did they call it The First Avenger cause Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Hulk, The Incredible Hulk and Thor were all released before Captain American, so it should be called Captain America: The Last Avenger, but whatever...) is just an attempt of an extraordinary movie, I mean, it provides fun and entertainment, it also brings action and some other good stuff, but it's just not that great and Iron Man is out of its league. I liked Captain American pretty much, it's entertaining and enjoyable, but, I didn't like many things about it, first of all, I hated the fact that the movie's bad guy is a guy with a red and weird head, second of all, I hated that Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) was a weak kid with a very low height and he was always being beaten up by people and he was accepted to go to war, one day, he's sent to try an experience that will give him super abilities, when he tries it, he grows up (on height) and he gets huge muscles and then, right when he owns those powers, something bad happens and all the certain, he starts running like crazy, throwing things, swimming inside water to catch a submarine and later, someone asks him something and he responds "I'm just a kid from Brooklyn", like if he was awesome just cause he got muscles, I mean, how annoying is that? But whatever, despite the fact that it's very flawed, Captain American is a good superhero movie about war and stuff. I liked it's concept, I liked its concept and I liked its cast. Here's a simple superhero movie that entertains and leaves you enjoyed, I don't highly recommend it, but I do recommend it, it's an okay movie that leads the countdown to the beginning of The Avengers to its end. Iron Man was fantastic, Iron Man 2 was fantastic, Captain America was great, The Incredible Hulk had a 7, Thor had a 7, so mash everything and I'm sure not just because of that, The Avengers will be a tremendous movie.

Iron Man 2 (2010)
5/10
One of the Best Sequels in Movie History that I Can Think Of
26 April 2012
Iron Man 2 was an excellent movie, it was pretty different from the first, but still, it's probably so good as the first. Iron Man 2 is just an unforgettable experience, it was just a modern version of the first, cause it still the satisfying humor, the tons of action, the amazing visual effects, the amazing soundtrack by AC/DC and some other titles, the amazing performances, but the great cast, was still great, but even though they unfortunately got rid of Bridges and replaced Howard by Don Cheadle, they joined the cast Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johanson, Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke, how awesome is that?

You definitely have to watch it if you haven't, it's one of the best sequels in history, it's right in the middle of Aliens and The Hangover Part II, Iron Man 2 is awesome and I know it was a bit underrated, but that's stupid and I don't agree with anyone who said this is a bad movie, it's a fantastic combination of excitement, action and humor, I highly recommend it, it has every thing you need in a movie and it's one of the best movies ever, it's one of the superhero movies ever and it's one of the best sequels ever. Iron Man 2 doesn't disappoint at all. Already re-watch a lot of times. Iron Man rocks, Iron Man 2 rocks, The Avengers will definitely rock.

Iron Man (2008)

Terrific, One of the Best Super-Hero Movies Ever Made
25 April 2012
Sow, now that we're on the time that The Avengers is released, I decided to review all the movies with the super-hero characters that will all be mashed up in the The Avengers. Iron Man is without doubts a modern classic, Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for this role, the directing was great and script, oh my, the script was absolute genius, they wrote an amazing script that doesn't have those typical clichés that a superhero movie has, this one was about a guy that instead of being bitten or drinking a liquid, he just created his own suit, and that man is a rich guy who loves to invent, party, money and girls, how awesome is that? Sow, if Iron Man is this awesome and I was able to watch it thousands of times, than The Avengers will be terrific.

====Iron Man====

Overall, Iron Man is a highly recommended movie, I loved it and it's one of my favorite movies, it's a visual effects feast, it's full of terrific action scenes, it's very well-acted by everyone in the cast (Downey, Paltrow, Bridges, Howard). I'll never forget this movie that is highly entertaining, full of action and it has a great dose of humor (mostly) because of Downey, who was just remarkable playing Tony Stark. One of the best movies I've ever seen and one of the five best superhero movies I've ever seen. Couldn't be 1% better, for one simple reason, it's 100% good.

How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014)
10/10
Modern and Hilarious TV Show
21 April 2012
I highly recommend everyone to watch How I Met Your Mother, it's an amazing TV Show and personally one of my favorites. It has so many smart jokes that just make you laugh like crazy, its concept is great and smart and every episode's plot is just simple, clever and great. How I Met Your Mother is a heartwarming and hilarious TV show. Once you watch one episode, you'l definitely show interest on watching another one, and once you watch another episode, you definitely show interest on watching all the other episodes, what makes me call How I Met Our Mother an addiction, well, a fantastic addiction. Easily my 3rd or 2nd favorite TV Show.

Characters:

Ted: Ted is a very interesting character, it was very well created and amazingly played by Josh Radnor. Ted is the main character and I think that was a good choice, Ted is mature guy and also a very funny guy. I love the character and the performance.

Marshall: Marshall is one of the best characters on the show, it was amazingly created and amazingly played by Jason Segel, he played a man who rarely gets a job or a responsibility. I loved Marshall (Segel) in here, he already made me laugh a lot.

Barney: Barney is great, Barney is a very interesting character played by Neil Patrick Harris, who's great at his role. Barney is a womanizer that doesn't own the word 'love' on his dictionary.

Lily: Lily is fantastic, Lily is an extremely interesting character about a normal teacher that also has the tendency to do stupid things, Lily was fantastically well-played by the fantastic Alyson Hannigan (American Pie) and Lily is one of the TV show's best characters.

Robin: Robin is great, very well-played by Cobie Smulders, Robin is a very interesting character, who's funny and not only.

Theme song:

The theme song was great and it always leave us excited for the music to start, I loved the theme song and I think it was very well composed.

How I Met Your Mother's Script/Concept:

Placed in 2030, Ted is a father who tells his daughter and son how he met his mother by mentioning almost his entire life next to crazy stuff, dangerous stuff and good stuff, always accompanied by his great friends, Marshall, Barney, Lily and Robin.

Overall, How I Met Your Mother is a fantastic TV show, it has an amazing cast, amazing characters, an amazing script and every episode is just clever, well-written, hilarious and loaded of great laughs and entertainment. This is currently one of the best TV Shows on TV right now. I consider it my 2nd or 3rd favorite TV show, cause every episode is just an overdose of entertainment, fun and laughs... big laughs. I highly recommend this show, I hope it never ends.

The Change-Up (2011)
8/10
Hilarious Movie, Extremely Entertaining Movie and One of the Best Comedies I've seen in a while!
20 April 2012
Let me just start off by saying that this movie was criminally underrated, thousands of reviewers gave it negative reviews, but let me tell you something, I had a fantastic time, I laughed out loud much more than once, the acting was amazing, the plot was a bit of cliché but it was amazing and the movie worked perfectly, The Change-Up is a raunchy hilarious comedy with heart. I highly recommend it, you'll might hear cussing lots of times, you'll might experience lots of highly raunchy jokes, but well, you'll just see yourself laughing like a maniac and having an excellent time. Now, let me tell you something, I'm honestly a person with a great taste for movies and I have a very reasonable list of favorite movies, not only by my point of view and even though I think this decision might not have been that reasonable for everyone, I just have no doubts that The Change-Up is my 4th favorite movies, I mean, I had an excellent time, I was highly entertaining and I loved everything about it, how could I possibly not give it a lower rate than 10?

Dave (Jason Bateman) is a successful married and a three-son fathered lawyer. Mitch (Ryan Reynolds), well, he's the opposite, he's a useless guy that just likes to get high, get laid, stay at home and only working on useless commercials or 'lornos'. Dave and Mitch were best pals during a long time but time has separate them away. One day, they decide to meet each other again at a bar. In one night where everything was supposed to be like a reunion of best friends drinking some beers, turned into a night where they both mention that they envy each other's life and when they decide to pee at a fountain, wishing to have each other's life, next thing they know is seeing themselves waking up in each others body. Who says men can't change?

Body-switch script, who cares? Yes, it has been used, but well, I think it was an amazing plot with hilarious details and characters that make us forget about how stupid body-switch is. I loved this plot and I think it was hilarious and amazingly written, it highly surpasses Freaky Friday's plot.

David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) did a great job and I'm glad he took this plot and he just went for it. Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses) was fantastic, I always found him really funny and an amazing actor, but here, they tested how far he could go and oh boy, he went too far, Jason was freaking hilarious, he played two characters and he did a terrific job, he was raunchy, very raunchy indeed, but he was hilarious and I completely loved his performance, his amazing performance. Ryan Reynolds was fantastic as well, he was hilarious and this was definitely the best role of his entire career, I loved his hilarious raunchy performance, Ryan, let me give you a piece of advice, forget Green Lanter, stick to these kinds of comedies, that's what you're amazing at. Sow, the two central amazing performances by Jason and Ryan are really the ones that stand out, but there was also some solid performances by the rest of the cast, completed by Leslie Mann, Olivia Wilde and Alan Arkin.

Sow, ignore the idiotic reviews about this movie, this movie isn't bad at all, I highly recommend and it's the best comedy I've seen since Horrible Bosses, it's smart, it's raunchy, it's hilarious, it's fun, it's entertaining, it's well-acted and it's hilarious, there's nothing like The Change-Up, forget the teen comedy Freaky Friday and stick to the adult R rated comedy The Change-Up, which is completely worth being watched and I'll watch it much more times. Watch it if you haven't, it has everything an amazing comedy needs, I highly recommend it and I highly recommend it. I think the reviewers only wanted to play smart guys, I'm sure they liked something, cause from what I've seen, what's there not to like? I'm sure they've watched a different version, cause this movie has no flaw, it's flawless, it's perfect, it's my 4th favorite movie.

Mitch's Dad: I'm getting married again and I'd like you to come to the wedding. Mitch: When's the wedding? Mitch's Dad: Next Saturday. My betrothed, Pamela, would like you to be there to say a few words. Mitch: I'll catch the next one...

Perfect Movie With Perfect Acting, Directing, Writing... The Hunger Games is The Best Movie of The Year
15 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The Hunger Games is a masterpiece and I loved it so much that I call it my 3rd favorite movie. Everything was perfectly well achieved and I think Suzanne Colins created a perfect world with excellent characters and she showed that it's possible to write a bestseller that doesn't involve melancholic teenagers, pallid girls and shirtless wear wolves. I just loved it and I highly recommend it, I would like to start off saying that Gary Ross' work was spectacular, he shakes the camera all the time, making us feel thrilled, he zooms in lots of times and I think he had an unforgettable "relationship" with the camera. Jennifer Lawrence tacked the lead, she was fantastic as always, I just loved her performance and I think she was the best choice they could have make for the leading role. The soundtrack was excellent, they composed so many excellent themes and I just enjoyed to hear them all.

Overall, I think you should go watch The Hunger Games if you haven't, I mean, it's at the top of the Box Office for almost a month and it's the movie that made the most money. Thousands and thousands of people and I'm proud of being one of those people and I think you should be one of those people, every one should be, cause watching The Hunger Games at a theater or anywhere, it's a fantastic experiment, hearing the sounds and being thrilled during a two hour fantastic ride. I was completely entertained and I loved everything and by the way, The Hunger Games is a movie that I'll just never forget, so as the movie's countdown to the beginning of The Hunger Games. I think this movie gets a lot of Oscars next year, if I was charge of the Oscars, I would make sure The Hunger Games would win an Oscar for Best Directing (Gary Ross), Best Performance in a Leading Role (Jennifer Lawrence), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Soundtrack and obviously, the Oscar for Best Picture. The Hunger Games is one of the best movies I've ever seen, well, let me cut the chase, it's the 3rd best movie I have ever seen and watching it have might been my year's best decision. I'll never forget this amazing survival dramatic thriller. Every minute of it was a perfect experiment. The Hunger Games is a perfect movie, it's a masterpiece and it's my 3rd favorite movie. There's no way of someone consider it a bad movie.

Fantastic Movie
29 March 2012
Crazy Stupid Love is with no doubts the best (modern) rom-com ever and it's without doubts, my seventh favorite movie and I'm not a fan of romance movies. Let me tell you why I loved it, first of all, it doesn't include those Hollywood cliché, what makes it an original movie, the plot was amazingly written, it had a few genius twists and every single part of it was fantastic. The cast was fantastic, it included one of my favorite actors, Steve Carell, who was just amazing here, It included Ryan Gosling, his great performance was worthy of a Golden Globe nomination. It included Julianne Moore, who was just okay here. It included Emma Stone, who was amazing here. And the cast also included Marisa Tomei and Kevin Bacon. The soundtrack was amazing and the rest was also amazing. Sow, as you can see, so far, I didn't said there was something bad about this movie, for one simple reason, there isn't, what leaves me able to say that Crazy Stupid Love is a perfect film. Sow, men, women, movie lovers, you all should watch Crazy Stupid Love, it is a rom-com surprisingly cliché-free, it knew how to separate the romance from the hilarious comedy and providing you a fantastic movie with a few touching moments and a few hilarious moments. Watch it right not if you haven't, it's the best (rom-) comedy I've seen since Horrible Bosses, it's worth watching it more than twice because all of the viewings will be an amazing waste of time, a waste of air by the big quantity of jokes and a waste of tears, at least for girls, not for me.

Crazy Stupid Love: *****

10/10: Sow, Crazy Stupid Love is one of the first rom-com's that can be recommended for men and women and it's clear that everybody will love it, I mean, I'm a man and I consider Crazy Stupid Love one of the 10 best movies ever made.

Surprisingly Great
29 March 2012
Went to the movie theater with no expectations of getting out of there with a smile on my face, well, I turned out to be surprised, cause I hated the cliché plot, some stupid characters and a few stupid thing but still, I had a great time and I laughed a lot. Do I agree with the critics? No, but that doesn't mean they're idiots, I'm sure why critics didn't like it and I thought I was having the same opinion about the movie that they had, but well, I was just not able to not like this movie. Whether you believe me or not, I highly recommend it, you'll certainly hate many things about it, but whatever, what matters is that you'll certainly have a fun time and you'll laugh with this new movie with a great cast and a mix of action, romance and comedy.

The cast was great, there were fantastic actors in it, they made stupid out of themselves, but they were still okay and they made me laugh, the cast includes, Reese Witherspoon, which was surprisingly less annoying than the usual, but still, meh. Tom Hardy was great here, he had a good performance and he made me laugh. Tom Hardy was great as well.

C.I.A.'s top spies, F.D.R. (Pine) and Tuck (Tom Hardy), who are also best friends, discover that they're dating the same woman, Lauren Scott (Reese Witherspoon). Now, they'll both create a huge war between each other and waiting to see who's gonna get the girl.

Sow, This Means War is a movie with a very stupid plot, but well, it's very fun, it's hilarious, it has an amazing cast and amazing action scenes. I don't specifically recommend it to boys or girls, I just think that it's a forgettable comedy but a fun one. Recommended movie, you'll certainly dislike many things about it, but what it matters is that you'll definitely have fun and laugh, like I did, and that's what it matters for us to like a film.

This Means War:***75/100=6.5/10= Good movie.

Man Up! (2011–2012)

Okay
28 March 2012
I found all the episodes very stupid, I mean, the characters of this TV show look idiots, I mean, I can't identify this TV show to anybody in the world. I'm not gonna lie that the show is pretty funny, I've laughed out loud once or twice, but that doesn't save the TV show from the disaster that it is. I found the concept interesting and each episode's plot as well, but I say it again, the bad thing that they've done with the show was the job they've done with the characters that in this case, are a very important element, I think the worst of the show was Teri Polo.

Sow, I guess the show has been canceled by now (Wich was not a bad idea), so don't bother to watch a single episode, if the show was still on, I would recommend you to watch a few episode, you would enjoy the episode and you would might have a few good laughs but you'll just not enjoy the characters-most of them- which will make you find some actors annoying. Honestly, I think I would handle one more season.

Man Up: 6.5/10 Good TV show, but it still had the potential to be much better, if they didn't create childish characters, this would give an entertaining and funny show.

Warning: Spoilers
30 Rock is one of my favorite shows, I love every single episode, I love the amazing acting by Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and others, the writing is amazing and I just love the smart jokes, the references to movies or songs or celebrities, I love Tina Fey's character boyfriends or ex- boyfriends, like Matt Damon, Jason Sudeikis and some others. Sow, 30 Rock is an excellent show and I definitely recommend you to watch it, it's just amazing, you'll find it interesting, fun, entertaining and hilarious. If you want to watch an amazing TV show, this is the one, but be careful, there will be scenes that will leave you out of oxygen by making you laugh so hard.

Not Better Than The Hangover... But Close, Very Close To Be
6 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Call me crazy if you want to, because this is my fourth favorite movie. Better than Horrible Bosses? No. Better than The Hangover? No. Better than The Hangover Part 2? No. But, as I said before, this is honestly my fourth favorite movie.

Lets start of by saying that this movie has an awesome cast, including Robert Downey Jr., known from Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Tropic Thunder, Sherlock Holmes and much other movies, the great Zach, one of my favorite actors, which was just hilarious in this movie, totally hilarious, for two reasons, first, because he's the same actor, and second, it looks like Zach Galifianakis is the same character in this movie and in The Hangover and The Hangover Part 2, only with a different name, right, but even though, I didn't thought that was a bad thing, it all, Zach Galifianakis is known from The Hangover, The Hangover Part 2, G-Force, What Happens In Vegas, Dinner for Schmucks, It's Kind of a Funny Story and much other movies, the cast also includes Michelle Monaghan, which was okay n this movie, even tough she had a small role, but she was an important character though, she is known from The Heart-Break Kid and some other movies, there's also a bit of Juliette Lewis in this movie, she was hilarious in it, even tough she had like a 5 minutes screen time, she is known from The Switch, Whip It and some other movies, Danny McBride who did also had just a few minutes screen time, but he was very funny in it, Danny is known from Pinaeplle Express, The Foot Fist Way, The Heart- Break Kid, Hot , Your Higness, 30 Minutes or Less and much other movies and the cast also includes the director of this movie, and the both Hangover movies, the director Todd Phillips, which had an okay small role, his role looked like his role in The Hangover when he was in the elevator, Todd Phillips is known from directing The Hangover, The Hangover Part 2, Old School, starring in The Hangover and not much more than that and other guy who I was forgetting about, Jamie Foxx also stars in this movie with a nice role, Jamie Foxx is known from, lets see, my favorite movie, Horrible Bosses, The Soloist (which Downey Jr. also appeared in), Ray and some other movies. Sow, as you can see, this movie has a great cast, but that's just a small great thing from this new masterpiece.

Peter Highman (Downey Jr.) is an architect who's heading home so he can be there for his son's birth, his pregnant wife, Sarah Highman (Monaghan) makes sure that everything is according to plan and he comes back at the due date. After a little accident in an airplane, which was supposed to take Peter home, caused by Ethan Chase/Tremblay (Galifianakis), Peter is now on the no fly list because of him. Peter has no way going home but going with Ethan in his car so he they can both can get back to Los Angeles, Peter, to can get to his son's birth and Ethan will have to make it there so he can have a meeting with his agent (Ethan is an actor). Everything was going okay, but Peter didn't know that he was going to have a long ride and he didn't know that Ethan is probably the worst person that he ever met. Ethan will only make bad things during the trip, he will spend all their necessary money on drugs, he will go to a waffle house even though he knows he's allergic to waffles, he will be constantly be talking during the trip, he will still a cop car and... he will fall a sleep during in a car where Peter is also sleeping and he will let the car fall from a bridge, but those are just some of the bad things he will do along that crazy road-trip. Can Peter make it to Los Angeles surviving one of the most horrible persons he ever met?

Sow, this is just a masterpiece, first, I can't look at this movie without laughing, when I see Galifianakis on a scenes, I just can't stop laughing, this road-trip movie is just hilarious, entertaining and much better than some recent comedies, in a minute you will be watching a thing in it, and in the other scenes you will be watching a totally different thing in it. Okay, as I said, this is my fourth favorite, some people didn't like it, and some probably will not, but one thing is for sure, if someone watch this movie, it will laugh so hard that will want to pause the movie just can get back breading. Fourth best movie ever. 100% recommended. Grade: A+.
