The Gabby Petito Story (2022 TV Movie)
10/10
Abby's fatal mistake.
25 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't care if this movie is perfect or not. It shows how a young lady fell for a guy's personal culture and rap. She believed in him until it was too late.

The movie does a great job of showing Brian for what he was. An immature, insecure and paranoid individual. He was a control freak and finally a killer.

I have no trouble at all believing the story of Gabby and Brian as it is presented in this movie.

We might think that Gabby herself shares part of the blame for her own demise. She believed that she loved this guy, and she allowed that to blind her to the reality of what Brian really was.

Brian was a nut job, he kept gabby isolated so he could do what he wanted to her.

The actors who portrayed Gabby and Brian did a great job, especially "Brian". He genuinely looked like the psycho that he was. By the end of the movie I couldn't stand the sight of him. Bald headed freak with his beady eyes. He wasn't much of a human being and I feel the same way about his parents who tried to protect him.

Adam-12: Hot Spell (1972)
Season 5, Episode 11
10/10
An episode with very interesting extras.
14 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. Every few years I watch all of the episodes of this show. Sometimes there are stories that I don't remember. This doesn't bother me at all because it's like I'm watching the episode for the first time. 2. This episode is loaded with small details, extra stuff, which are interesting to fans of Adam 12. 3. First is the discussion about the warm weather and about the obligation to where the class a uniforms which are going to be a little too warm for the officers. We hear about the differences between the various types of uniforms. 4. The yard sale segment was actually very pleasant to watch. The man holding the yard sale was a very nice guy, and the man who came around to pick up the color TV seemed almost likeable. Very strange for a criminal. 5. Scatman Crushers, playing Mr Strothers, contributed effectively in his brief scene where he stomps his feet while describing how people have been waking across his lawn. 6. Back at the station Reed and Malloy are making jokes about missing the broadcast about changing back to their class C uniforms claiming that they had gone swimming and should have parked the police cruiser to the swimming pool. This shows what a great relationship that Reed and Malloy have with each other as well as with Sergeant MacDonald.

Adam-12: Eyewitness (1972)
Season 4, Episode 23
7/10
An episode with interesting scenes.
28 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. We see our officers out in cold weather. Not sure when this was filmed, but we can see Mac's breath as he speaks there on the street. The guys are all wearing their cold weather gear, and they look sharp. 2. The black German Shepherd may have been a trained movie dog, but Malloy/Martin Milner really appears to have a way with dogs. "Blackie" seems to be enjoying the attention that Malloy is giving. 3. While Malloy and Reed are chasing the crooks through the train yard we see Mallow pause to aim his pistol. In Adam 12 Malloy is considered quite the marksman. Milner here is absolutely convincing, looking deadly serious as he lowers his weapon to aim it. It is an intense scene and Martin Miller plays it very well.

Wanted: Dead or Alive: The Matchmaker (1959)
Season 2, Episode 3

Another missed opportunity for Josh Randall
21 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this story where Josh reluctantly agrees to help find a beautiful wife for his friend Charlie. This episode without a doubt had the biggest line up of great looking ladies of any episode in the series.

First, Kasey Rogers who later played Larry Tate's wife on Bewitched. It wasn't until I saw her on this show as Rudy Todd that I realized what a beauty she was.

Next, we have our literal gold digger Amy Williams played perfectly by knockout Fay Spain. There were two other lovely ladies shown, but they were given no lines and are not listed in the credits.

The lady that I really want to focus on is Virginia Christine who played the widowed mother Harriet Meecham. She is unfairly presented here as an old undesirable woman. Virginia was really not that much older than the other two actresses named. When Josh was talking to her about Charlie he mentions her delicious pies. Her face beams with the prettiest smile! The truth is that Virginia Christine was as beautiful an actress as these others, and her character Harriet Meecham was a fine looking widow woman.

In my opinion Josh Randall makes a habit of walking (or running) away from some great opportunities. Here he has a ready made family available , but he heads for the hills.

A Prediction of the Future?
17 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A power hungry man takes away the guns from all the law abiding citizens of the town. He rules the city with harshness and cruelty. He imposes rediculous fines on the people and executes anyone who rises up against him. It all starts with disarming the people. Does this remind you vaguely of anything that one political party in the United States hopes to accomplish in these present days?

Wanted: Dead or Alive: Bounty for a Bride (1959)
Season 1, Episode 31

Josh should have taken Doris with him.
15 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
ON ONE HAND I do agree with other reviewers that this is not the best episode of this series. Lori Nelson is not believable as a woman who has spent the majority of her life with indians. She probably would not speak English and she would not look a great as she does, even though she is considered to be the Apache chief's daughter and a princess. She would also be uneducated and possibly a bit wild. ON THE OTHER HAND I still managed to enjoy this story. I thought Josh was not only a good sport, but he made a valient effort to win the hand of White Antelope (AKA Doris Albright). In my own mind I try to salvage this episode by making a suggestion which would alter Josh's life and would alter this TV series. White Antelope was already Josh's wife according to Apache law. She was ready and prepared to be faithfully his forever. Josh should have taken her with him and married her in a civil ceremony. Josh was concerned that his way of living would be no good for her. BUT JUST THINK. She was raised as an indian. She could handle anything that traveling with Josh could throw at her, and he could teach her about a different way to live. Doris would possess many skills which would be useful. I picture Josh and Doris eventually finding a place and settling down. Anyway, that's how I re-imagine this story. Do you ever like to change a story in your own mind?

Josh Randall a Man of Culture.
14 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
During this 3 season TV series we see Josh Randall traveling all over. This story starts in Denver. We learn some interesting things about Josh. His mother played piano. From his mother's connection to music Josh has some knowledge of opera. Just a bit more info about our bounty hunter. Also interesting is this, Josh uses a nice looking pocket watch. Something we may be observing for the first time.

Based upon actual police files
4 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The episodes of Adam - 12 are supposed to be based upon real police files of the LAPD. I wonder if that means every scene that we see. I kind of hope so because Officer Reed made an incredible gesture by re-planting the man's tree so that he would see it back in its place when he returned home from the hospital. Reed truly demonstrated what it means to protect and to serve.

Gorgeous girls in the desert.
1 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Among the episodes of route 66 this was a somewhat improbable story about Tod and Buz babysitting some fashion models near a dam site. I enjoyed this story mainly because of the lovely ladies. Elizabeth Macrae really struts her stuff here. She's a real tease. I remember her as Gomer Pyle's gorgeous girlfriend who spoke with the sultry southern accent. I never knew how great looking she was until I saw this episode. Donna Douglas was also in this story. We should remember her as Elly May from The Beverly Hillbillies. Unfortunately she only has one or two lines here. I do have to agree with other reviewers about how the last 10 minutes of this episode is packed with action with the dynamite explosions. A very intense and very well made scene!

The Doctor Wanted a Younger Woman, However...
29 June 2022
The doctor wants to trade in his wife for a younger woman played by Katherine Justice. Here Miss Justice is about 27 years of age. I just want to point out that Nina Foch who plays the doctor's wife is about 45 years old and is still a very fine looking woman. Big mistake!

A Creepy Story To Begin A Series.
18 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. I believe that a black and white film already has a built in factor which enhances the mood and feel of the story. It works well as Todd and Buzz make their way into the tiny town of Garth. Todd even states that there is a very strange feeling in the air. 2. The guys encounter a nutty population in Garth. It seems hard to believe the superstitions and fears which have kept this town paralyzed for years. Apparently it's all related to the intentional or unintentional killing of a minister. Buzz and Todd find themselves in a dangerous situation and it looks very bad for them. 3. According to notes this first episode was filmed in Concord Kentucky. This is a tiny town on the banks of the Ohio River. Its population has dwindled steadily during the past century. 4. If you look at a satellite view of Concord you will see there near the river a clearing in the trees. I wonder if the wooden ramp which served the ferry ran up through that clearing at one time.

No long walk but it's a good episode.
19 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. I don't understand why this episode is named "The Long Walk" unless it's to suggest that Mr Saulsberry at the old folks home was planning to walk back to Deadwood, South Dakota. However, Mr Saulsberry revealed that he had driven his daughter's car. 2. There's a tense shootout scene where Malloy shows how an officer maintains his composure in a deadly situation. 3. I was pleasantly surprised to see actress Mittie Lawrence appearing in two episodes in a row. Here she plays the nurse at the old folks home.

A touching performance by Mittie Lawrence
19 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Reed and Malloy, in addition to their normal patrol, are delivering Christmas presents to the poor. The highlight of the episode for me is when our officers purchase an extra gift, a yellow dump truck, for Mrs Ward's son. When she sees the gift her reaction is pure gold and brings tears. Mrs Ward is played by the very pretty Mittie Lawrence who won the 1959 Miss Bronze California contest. She enjoyed an acting career until about 1972.

Hard Life Lessons For a Little Girl.
10 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As soon as I finished watching Little Heroes I was tempted to write a scathing review, ripping the story to shreds. I thought that the story was rather weak, and I was very upset about the death of Fuzz (as I am a dog lover). After giving it some thought I decided that the movie accomplishes its purpose, that is to show the hard experiences of a young girl and how they affected her life. I very much enjoyed Raeanin Simpson who played Charlie, and I enjoyed Charlie's relationship with her dog Fuzz. Raeanin Simpson was about twelve years old when this movie came out, and almost half of her life was already over. I was sad to read that she passed away in 2004 at the age of 25.

A great roast!
13 April 2022
This was a good roast with lots of laughs and a good lineup of celebrities. The only celebrity that I really wasn't familiar with was Totie Fields. It's rather sad that this was the last public appearance of Jack Benny. The only times I had seen Ginger Rogers before was when she was dancing in a movie, so this was special. I was really bowled over by Ginger Rogers. At age 64 or so here she was still so incredibly gorgeous!

Treasure and Eye Candy
14 March 2022
1. This was an enjoyable episode, but as I make my way through the first season of The Rockford Files I recognize a pattern. Every episode seems to feature great looking cars and car chases, really bad guys and then Jim Rockford is quite often getting the shaft as far as monetary rewards go. I have read where season 2 gets better, so I wonder if there will be some improved story lines to enjoy. 3. I did enjoy the action and dialogue in this story. The ex-con named Len actually turns out to be an almost likable character. Of course we were also treated to the presence of Shelly Fabre who was looking quite fetching.

Episode with the best acting
1 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. My memories of this episode are of an unpleasant story, that is the court-martial of Colonel Foster. After some time I come back to view this episode again realizing now what a great piece of writing it is. In addition all the main actors really show their stuff in this story. 2. General Henderson with his strict adherence to military protocol. Commander Straker with his search for facts and logic. Colonel Foster who manages to remain calm (for the most part) under great duress, and Dr Jackson with his somewhat sinister manner. 3. If it wasn't for movie executive Carl Mason and his continual complaining to Ed Straker, poor Colonel Foster wouldn't have had a chance. It would have been nice to see Foster, Straker and Colonel Freeman find a way to do something nice for Carl Mason. Of course Mason could never know the true reason for the nice favor.

I had hopes for Ruth
24 February 2022
1. This was a silly episode and hard to watch, but I get it. It's one of those occasional episodes which are made just to have some fun. 2. Through it all though I was on the look out for Ruth, Henry Higgin's wife. I had begun to like and enjoy that character. I was hoping that of all the Newsoms that she would develop into a level-headed character. When she worked at the hospital with Dr Ogden and was trying to become a nurse, I thought she showed some signs of having a bit of common sense, and she seem to have a good heart. This episode disappointed me where Ruth is concerned. Now, sadly, I'm forced to file the Ruth charachter under the category of "silly goose" along with the rest of the Newsoms.

Another Wasted Episode
22 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. This could have been a very good episode if only they had made the story true instead of only a hallucination. Just imagine! Colonel Foster, the only human to survive a trip in a UFO. What was it like Colonel Foster? Were there any aliens on board with you? Did they try to communicate with you? What happened during the trip? What was it like wearing their alien space suit and breathing a liquid? 2. Unfortunately Gerry Anderson apparently had no interest in ever getting this TV series off the ground, so he made all the interesting parts of this episode as though it was a dream. Well, I did enjoy the party scene which was very cool and groovy! 3. Other reviewers have commented about how these episodes are not presented in the order in which they were filmed. With that in mind I just want to say it was so great to see Colonel Freeman and Lieutenant Ellis again!

Good Humor and a Good Mystery
20 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This was a fun episode that did not try to please everyone. For me it was an episode with humor yet still provided a good who done it. If you think the jokes were bad consider this. Since the early 1900s both comedians and audiences have become smarter and more sophisticated. During the days of Murdoch I believe that people laughed at more simple types of humor. I personally enjoyed listening to Dr Ogden's laughter as she enjoyed the slapstick jokes.

Now the Navy Knows
18 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. This was a very interesting episode because someone other than SHADOW (the Royal Navy) was successful in shooting down an alien spacecraft. The Navy ship was in the area because they were preparing to drop special containers into the sea, containers which held a very powerful poison. It is guessed that the aliens were in the area because they were making a practice run to sabotage the dumping operation. 2. When the aliens send a second spacecraft they are able to somehow disable the Navy ship's defensive systems, and they proceed to attack the ship. Fortunately SHADOW comes to the rescue. We see a great reaction from the ship's captain when he sees the Skydiver jet come launching up out of the water. The captain also clearly sees the aliens' spacecraft. HE KNOWS. It's possible that other crew members saw it too. What will SHADOW do to contain this? 3. I have to agree with another reviewer that this episode was made a little more enjoyable due to the appearances of Stephanie Beacham and Wanda Ventham, two ladies who are very easy on the eyes.

Another Cloak and Dagger episode
15 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. I personally have had enough of agent Terrence Myers. Some of his episodes have been bearable to watch, but they are getting old, and this character is always a bit too pompous. I have a hard time feeling any sympathy for him at all. 2. Julia believed that Agent Baker was flirting with her husband. I did not notice this, but she was definitely a nice looking lady, as are all of the main female actresses in the series. 3. So the character Clegg is not dead as was thought. I hope that the writers do not turn him into an arch criminal who will be menacing the constabulary for episodes on the end. 4. This was still a well written episode. 5. The flashbacks are so old that you can see the age difference in the characters. I thought that was interesting.

Could have been much better
12 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. This episode had great potential to be a fastinating story, that is until the writers directed it to a mundane ending. The idea of sending a spacecraft to pursue a UFO back to its home planet was very interesting. 2. I wish that the mission had been a success, that they had indeed obtained detailed photos of the aliens' planet, but unfortunately no. 3. I enjoy this short TV series, but too may of it's episodes are sabotaged by the writers. 4. I really like the lovely ladies of UFO. I'm glad that Gabriella Drake (Lt Gay Ellis) had a bit more screen time in his episode. We were treated to seeing her at the moon base in her awesome uniform and purple wig. Then we get to see her on the earth looking quite fetching in her sexy clothes and natural hair (that may have been a brown wig, but I don't care). For me personally Gabriella Drake saved this episode.

Raging Angels (1995)
5/10
Not as good as I had hoped, however ....
10 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
My main motivation for watching Raging Angels was that it's story has some similarities to Frank E. Peretti's book This Present Darkness. In Peretti's spiritual adventure the main character finds himself interacting with good and evil in the forms of angels and demons. While this movie cannot compare with the book just mentioned, I was entertained by the brief battle between the angel and the demon which looked as though it was made out of paper mache and feathers. The only other attraction for me was the presence of the gorgeous actress Monet Mazur. With just a few changes, like some additional spiritual meat to the story, this could have been a much better movie.
