One of the worst shows ever.

One of the worst shows ever. I hope no other show like this one ever makes its way onto TV again.

He was abusive, and a phoney. If my memory serves me, he would sometimes pretend to befriend a guest before he turned on him. It amazed me anyone would think this guy would side with anyone on anything.

The entire premise for the show was Downey being socially and verbally abusive while he chain smoked. This show really sucked.

Only Springer's is worse. And it may be better. But I'll give the nod to Springer as the worst show ever because it has lasted longer.

not bad

Actually I liked this show even though I was pushing 40 years old when it was on the air. Part of the reason is it was good. And partly there wasn't anything else worth watching on over-the-air TV.

I thought Seacrest did a great job and honestly I'm not a fan of American Idol. The guests were great for both young and not-too-young, and the giveaways for the audience were nice. It was something interesting for a disabled person like me to watch in the afternoon when nothing was on in the daytime except soaps and those boring and not so good talk shows known as Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, et cetera. They're almost trash TV.

But Seacrest's show was good. I was disappointed it didn't last long.

a good drama/anti-communist film
6 August 2004
I like this one. Ronald Reagan, who helped tear down the Berlin wall in real life, battles communism in Asia with this film, although the viewer might not realize that's part of what this film is about. It isn't full of rhetoric, but instead is full of drama. Mostly the film is about an orphaned Chinese boy in the care of an American, Jeff Williams (Reagan). Williams struggles with greed versus human compassion. It is a good human drama with some romance also between the Reagan character and the lovely Victoria Evans played by Rhonda Fleming who did a wonderful job. There is some action in the movie to boot. The little orphan in the movie is adorable for lack of a more macho word from a manly man such as myself. LOL.
