The movie is a techincal feat, its amazing how they managed to shoot the entire movie on a macro lens and without a gimbal. I know there were shakes but common its a handheld camera.

I am from India and I didn't connect to it at all. It missed the essence! There is very little character development and the main characters are not memorable. We don't know about the people of the village except they loved to tell the same story over and over again and the kids loved it. We don't really know who is Alpha and whats their deal. We don't know the little kid who stole stuffs for the hero and why.

Average at best!

Why? Why did you disguise a drama to look like a scifi

Warning: Spoilers
Questionable logic but a good start, good middle but ending is meh! I don't understand why the have only limited canisters for a ship that looks like space station. Why did she had to go in the middle of the solar storm which by the way looks like something is flowing like some smoke lol.

Great acting and huge lost opportunity which was because I belive the people who wrote it don't understand space, physics or are plain stupid.

One of the best shows on the Web right now

I initially thought it was one of em Gangs of Wasepur dhisum dhisum... But it was totally different.. Wel layers, top notch acting, good direction and finally a series in India which focused on characterisation. Totally worth...

What's the point

Hight on budget, great actors but disappointing. First 1 hour of the movie is just beating around the bush... Character development is next to stupid. Love story is childish and cliche.... Plot is meh! Overall someone vomited on the storyboard.

A Perfect Portrayal of Rural Life Here in India and the Struggle...
27 February 2017
Many years later when you would be sipping coffee and watching the sunset and think of all the good movies you've ever watched, this will be amongst them.... There will be tears in your eyes and you would thank you stars for having the luxury of watching the sunset while sipping coffee... This is how much I was moved after watching this movie. The characterization, the cinematography, music acting everything is so perfect...

I am from kolkata and I have spent much of my life traveling from Howrah and walking the suburbs of this place.... The portrayal and the dialogues are bang-on, it is so realistic that I wondered how could they capture these nuances.

Take some time out of your busy schedule and watch it...

A Hollywood Masala Flick
27 February 2017
This movie is bearable and is not , not even close to the league of 7 Pounds or The Pursuit of Happiness.

While the premise was heavy and deals in heavier subject, grief of losing a child. The entire story was all so perfect for all of the characters and everyone needed time, love and death and in right time right place... it feels so unrealistic and boring at times and so so predictable. In India we would call it a Hollywood Masala Flick because the movie and the screenplay tried using all of the ingredient of emotion available to them and yet could not strike a chord in many many hearts....

Finally just a one time watch if you don't have anything else to do.

Lucia (I) (2013)

A refreshing cinematic experience for all.

I am not always moved to write a review of Indian film, but this time there is no holding back my thoughts.

At the end of a brutally packed weekend with back to back movies, Haider, Lucy, Limitless & Bang Bang, I can't stop raving about this lesser known, meagerly-budgeted-at-70 lakh Indian Kannada movie, Lucia. An intensely engaging, flawlessly executed film boasting above-par performances, this movie makes you ask the obvious question, Why do we need over-hyped movies "starring" overrated plastic lookgooders who are still "learning the tricks of the trade" at our expense? One watch at Lucia and I guarantee you won't see the need for a sculpted Hrithik Roshan or a potent-but-disappointing- still Shahid or even a mildly-disappointing-this-time-with-Haider (for me, anyway) Vishal Bharadwaj. And I'm not even the arty-movie- watcher type. Such is the charisma of quality. Strongly recommend! Bolly movie makers riding on hundreds of crores, die of shame please. Thank you.

This movie is exceptionally well made and puts your to a journey of thought provoking events. Being a psychological thriller I was a little apprehensive about it at first as most of these kind of movie fail to give a logical valid explanation in the end. But I am so glad I was wrong with this one. The conclusion is apt, the acting and characterization is justified.

This is one of those movies which prove high budget, glamour and top stars are not as important as a great script and flawless execution of the same.

Hats off to Pawan Kumar and team for pulling of such a brilliant piece and holding it together throughout the film.

Overall its something you cannot afford to miss.

I do not want tell you specifics of the movie watch it for your self you will love it! and yes please keep enough tissues handy, you will need them to wipe your tears.

I rate it 10/10......

Forgive me if I have written something wrong, this is my first time and will definitely do better next time.
