Regression (I) (2015)
4/10
Inspired by Uninspiring Events
14 October 2015
Like most thriller movies, "Regression" starts out great, and then the next thing you know... it had already gone horribly wrong in almost every aspect. Unsurprisngly, though. Ethan Hawke gave a marvelous performance as he portrayed the role of a detective. However, on the contrary, I was surprised to have thought that the movie's weakest link was Emma Watson. She did good, but the rest of the cast had just out shined her. Also, the movie had great cinematography. The musical scoring was quite good, too. Weird enough, but it wasn't enough to save the movie from its' poor script.

'Regression' is a not-so-thrilling mystery-thriller film for it has failed to deliver what it really is supposed to. I'd say, it kinda got quite pretentious near the end.

Went downhill pretty much fast.
7 October 2015
'Hotel Transylvannia 2' is a perfect example of a wasted opportunity. It started out surprisingly good, however, it failed to maintain the fun that it delivered in the first half of the movie.

The first-half of this movie was just dumb-fun, it's fun to watch. However, the second-half was just atrocious, t'was almost unwatchable. It felt awkward (at least for me) to watch. It just felt so forced, it was horribly written, and it concluded the worst way one could've ever thought of; it was abysmal.

To mention some of the positive things about the movie, I thought that the animation was great, voice acting was nicely done, and its first half, at least, was an improvement over its predecessor's first-half.

I'm giving this movie a 4/10.

Better, but dumber.
20 March 2015
"Insurgent" continues shortly after the events of the first movie, having Jeanine finding a box that can only be opened by a Divergent and searching for all the Divergents (Which was previously shown in the trailers.) and also discovering that not all Divergents are equal as some Divergents are better than the others and obviously, the latter was Tris.

Honestly, I was surprised that I liked this better than the first since I knew that I had lower my expectations for it because I knew that the first one was horrible and also because I had no faith for the new director "Robert Schwentke" who's known for R.I.P.D which was absolutely awful. This movie had good moments, but the movie was mostly a bore. The cinematography was okay, acting was good but wasn't enough to feel attached to the characters. (I didn't feel like connecting with the protagonist.)

VERDICT: I'm not saying that I didn't like the movie, but it really could've been better. I didn't like it that MUCH because everything was too surreal. Everything was too coincidental.

The Pyramid (2014)
3/10
Interesting premise, bad execution
17 January 2015
The Pyramid is a refreshing take for horror movies because there hasn't been any "mummy horror-movie" since the late 50s, however, the movie was painful to watch. Why is it? No character development that resulted to viewers not caring about the characters since all the characters suffer from making idiotic and bad decisions that obviously resulted to their death! Even the trailer gives away too much because if you've seen the trailer, you've already seen the whole movie.

The CGI was horrible though it was forgivable, but to be honest, the movie could've really been better because it had an interesting premise. But even though I'm a fan of FOUND-FOOTAGE HORROR MOVIES, I was really disappointed because I thought that I was gonna like it since it felt like "As Above, So Below" which I really loved.

FINAL VERDICT: Not worth your time. 3/10. Better watch "As Above, So Below"

Cheesy at times, but it's fun!
17 January 2015
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is an okay end to an okay franchise. Personally, I think that this one's the weakest of the three movies, though it's still worth the watch. However, do not expect good acting from Ben Stiller, it was kinda disappointing, actually. Rebel Wilson's acting was hilarious, though. Also, expect to get teary- eyed by Robin Williams' last appearance on the big screen. (Don't miss the chance to see his last acting!)

FINAL VERDICT: I'll give this movie a thumbs-up solid since it's better than most of the comedies that have been released this decade. It's a solid 6/10...

Alexander and the lame, boring, not-so-entertaining, very silly movie.
17 October 2014
1 word. AWFUL.

Should you skip this movie? -Yes.

Why should you skip this movie? -Because it's plain awful.

I can't describe how silly the movie was. I know that this is a kids movie that's made and aimed for kids but I just couldn't help myself from getting so bored and p*ssed off.. I just can't believe wasting money for this movie.

I know this isn't the worst movie but it made me feel uncomfortable watching the movie. It's pure horrible, y'know. I mean, the story is really clichéd and the acting was plain blah. I hope Disney stops turning these short books into major motion pictures because it's not even good. It had no climax or anything, it's just pure boredom. Please, don't watch this and don't let it go blockbuster so that Disney stops doing these things.

Overall Rating: 3/10. BAD. BAD. MOVIE.

Annabelle (I) (2014)
6/10
Had moments, but overall a mediocre movie. Probably because of the bad acting.
5 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Yeah, so first of all, I had high expectations for this movie but I tried to lower my expectations because reviews were bad so I liked it but nah, it still disappointed me. Why?

I hated how all the characters lacked common sense. The female protagonist's (Annabelle Wallis) acting was just... plain awful. I cannot withstand her bad acting because it made some scenes feel so lame. There were many useless scenes to extend the running time of the movie that made it even worse. i.e: The kids sitting on the stairs. It really made me thought that there was something wrong with them but no, after that scene, they just...vanished. And I was like, seriously?! no explanation for the subplot?! It was like a good subplot that had a lot of potential to get a backstory added into the movie but was just used to consume the running time because the only scene that made it worth watching was the Elevator Scene.

5/10 I'm guess pretty generous for giving a 5 but it really deserves a 4/10 because of it's mediocrity.
