Still as fresh today as first screen in 59

What a great movie, this is probably one of those movies that has a little bit of everything, Terror,Mystery and much Adventure, One of those Thriller films that you can't get enough of,the script is very clever but can be confusing and unless you keep up with the movie you will find you can lose the plot along the way,Cary Grant plays an exceptional role as Roger Thornhill and carries the character very well as for Miss Eve Marie Saint very clever playing her part both as innocence and double crosser, the location count was over 20 different locations where the film was shot and some were much breath taking places such as Long Island NY , Plaza Hotel Manhatten NY and the most famous of all locations Mount Rushmore where the Shot the most famous camera Action on top of the Lincoln Statue, the question I have heard being asked over the years was " who really should have won that Oscar in 59 was it Heston or Grant?after some real careful thinking and debate with question " did they actually get it wrong" I think they got it right and just by a whisker well done Mr Heston, Ben Hur was a classic.still I would recommend if you are with a couple of hours free to go out and grab this masterpiece from Hitchcock and have a good time watching it, ENJOY....

Deer Hunter

Another off the conveyor belt of great American movies that explains how a great close community of friendship is turned upside down because of the Vietnam war , The great thing about this movie and what makes it different to anything else is because when Michael Cimino was putting this together he did not rush to finish it,that is why it stands out for great movies , De-Niro as Michael is the Rock in the film very powerful and solid Performance ,Walken as Nick I would say this was maybe his best performance of all time, He played the character of Nick perfect, and as for Savage - Steven such such shame to lose both his legs , Very sad and unfortunate film that will always be appreciated by all generations to come , Sometimes to have to say " they don't make movies like that anymore and in this case it's very true.

The Don of all Gangster Movies,
1 August 2014
What can I write about this movie that you don't already know, released in 72 and still to this day the greatest Mafia movie made, strong cast and strong Scripts and when you have that combination you have a hit on your hands that can never be bettered, at the end the quote of the movie,Connie to Michael"did you kill him ," did you kill him Michael? he shouts back " never ask me about my business" then the pause and then the Answer " NO " she walks out and the door slowly closes and the audience cannot wait for more until we got GodFather 2, THAT IS FOR ANOTHER DAY,Al Pacino comes into his own in this movie and as for Marlon Brando excellent performance,I only wished they kept him alive a little for GodFATHER 2,

Alias Smith and Jones (1971–1973)

The Day has come to revive this great show
24 July 2014
As sad as this may sound ,at present they are doing a rerun of Alias Smith and Jones and I have been watching every episode,I still get a buzz watching the show and the boys getting up to their antics, what I found very surprising was the amount of great guest stars they had in the show , I watched an episode last night where Roger Davies was a guest star and he double crossed they boys until Kid Curry had no option but to take him out , I find the show as one of the best entertainment shows of the 70s and the pace and scripts were always written with great endings , What I also loved was the boys always got the worst deal and always came out with nothing to gain, I would recommend Universal look at this and maybe turn it to a Movie and give the leads to Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp and a masterpiece that would be , I gave the idea remember that !!! a def for a hit movie and great for Alias Smith and Jones Fans ..

screaming for more
13 February 2013
I would agree with most people about this movie ,well executed and I would say the Daddy of all western movies made in that era, Clint Eastwood makes the movie what it is ,the script and story and everything else that is happening is made believable by the presence of Eastwood ,of cause the Music plays the biggest factor but without the influence of Eastwood this film would never have been so popular, the beginning of the film as he rides into town has a big focus ,and the lines " you see my mule does not like people laughing at him," what a great way to start a movie ,it's that start that keeps everyone glued to the screen, but without Eastwood it would never have happened.also the way he plays both sides is very cunning, this is one of these movies that I can honestly say that the good guys actually win,for the next generation of people coming through that don't really understand westerns I recommend they watch this movie and then they will be hooked and screaming for More in which we have with Few a few dollars more .

The Good ,The Bad and The Ugly..
23 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
This has to go down as the best Western ever made ,the story lines ,scripts ,location ,and the acting, I thought from beginning to end the film had you waiting for more ,and the ending was magnificent when he left Eli Wallach hanging at the end of the rope and then shot the rope from the distance, the Music in the film is second to none and without the music there would be no film...100% best western of all time.the great thing about this movie is you don't know exactly what will be happening next ,it's seems to go from one extreme to the other and that's what really makes this movie the finest of it's time, The part where they blow up the bridge and the general is Satisfied that the yanks are free ,it's was really a crying shame that there was no plans for a follow up to it, i believe the fans would have been crying for even more...

I was involved in this production in 2000, i always remember we were on location in the city under this old station , may have been Mile End , it rained for about two weeks non stop and i alway remember the water coming through the cracks of the station , the scene was the Catwalk , I remember that in between scenes everyone was looking for a warm corner to stay warm , Glenn close was very friendly with all the members around , i got talking to her for about 5-10 mins and she was the most friendliest ,nicest person you can talk to , she is up there as one the the best in dealing with the conditions and people around 10/10 for that ...

dead fish

this is another of those films where i spent 5 days filming , i remember it was probably one of the best jobs i did , i had to sit at a table drinking beer watching all these Girls around me prancing around Naked , it was fantastic , i had one girl above going up and down too and fro on this giant Bannana , great great great .. give me more, what else can i tell you , i think the film had a good story line great cast but it needed a little more with the direction .. i think the film was rushed to be finished and i got the feeling that is the reason it flopped in the box office due to the fact it needed that little more extra mileage ..
