Well documented and shocking truths
21 October 2008
This is a film that all American should see.

We might like to believe that this sort of thing cannot happen here, but it can and did.

I personally hope that the careers of all the courageous filmmakers have not been too badly damaged, but I fear that they have.

We support the right of Oliver Stone to make "W" which he has admitted is a creative work, designed around certain published facts...but the DOCU-DRAMA "The Path to 9/11" was attacked with a fervor that would've made the former Soviets proud.

I want to thank the makers of this film and the original film it is about for their courage under fire.

Important truths
28 March 2008
First and foremost, I am not an expert on Spiritual matters. What follows are my personal opinions.

This film should be acknowledged for depicting the truth about the Islam. ....not all the truths, but important truths.

The spread of Islam is required by it's scriptures.

Anyone needing a more detailed explanation should see the film

"Islam: What the West Needs to Know"

It is in IMDb and as the poster there said:

"It's true: You NEED to see this"

According to Islamic scripture one is either a believer, an infidel, or a Dhimmi (subservient to Islam)

WAKE UP!

Decide for yourself!

"Looker is ultimately not worth a look"

DECIDE FOR YOURSELF

This is a great film. I did not give it a higher score only because I reserve 7+ scores for films that are also important, which this film is not. (Case in point "True Lies")

This being said, it is an extremely enjoyable film to watch.

Michael Crichton often chose his stories to examine actual concerns of the time, as he did in "Terminal Man", "Coma", and even in "Jurassic Park" (the issue of Genetic Research). In this film the concern involved the increasing affect that computers and advertising are having on us.

Albert Finney was in several "workmanlike" films during this period....films that were consistently enjoyable, with another example being "Wolfen".

It is great news that this is finally being re-released on DVD!

...now where is "Serial"?! ...or Americathon?! ...or Peter Proud?!

Showbiz
12 October 2005
I wanted to ask if anyone knew anything about another small channel.

This channel was called "Showbiz" and we got it in rural San Diego county because cable did not reach us back then. Showbiz was available as a pay service but it was broadcast locally.

It reminds me of Z channel because it showed odd little films and felt like there was a "DJ" picking out films to show me that I would never have thought to see.

This channel's programing introduced me to Austrailian films, which in the late 70's and early 80's were very interesting.

If someone can respond with a URL or other data I would be most appreciative.

Worth this song alone
8 August 2005
Neil Innes singing his song "How sweet to be an idiot".

This is a totally cool film, but this innocent/crazy song was so memorable.

The comedic side-act are off the wall.

I loved the two dudes holding their arms in the air and running back and forth past each other, as if they were trapeze artists, while singing a classic circus tune.

But for Neil alone this is one to see.

This was an early work of the philanthropic Bob Geldof too.

This is a filer sentence, to pass inspection. I have said what I wanted to.
