Game of Thrones: Mockingbird (2014)
The sex is so one-sided...
George R.R. Martin recently defended showing sexual violence in his series because it's realistic. Well, nobody cares if it happens in real life, most people don't want to see it acted out on TV. Sexual molestation of children and men screwing animals happens in real life, too. Does that mean we should put it on TV as well? I don't think so.
So, in regards to the sex we've seen in this season so far, there has been no sex portrayed that is not sex done with violence or sex with prostitutes. In the past seasons, there have been some love making scenes, which have been 'better' alternatives, but what really angers me about this episode is that it was finally Danearys turn to get some, it was finally time for the directors and producers of this series to show sex from a woman's perspective. This is where they had an opportunity to show it in an angle from what women want, and what happens instead? Dario gets naked, and they cut the scene short right there and switched to the Red Woman's breasts. Thanks! Thanks to all the male producers who only think about their own gender and what their own gender wants when it comes to sex. From a woman's perspective, I am sick and tired of seeing another woman's naked body.
Being Human (2011)
Not nearly as good as the UK version
I watched every episode of this series because I was bored, and I watched it after I'd already seen the UK version. In the UK version my heart was in my throat during several episodes as people fought and struggled, and almost got caught, and experienced the highs and lows of the things they'd done. The guy who plays Mitchell (the vampire) is fantastic!! Then I watched the U.S. version. It was just so incredibly dull and boring, and stereotypical, and the guy who plays the vampire in this version, can't hold a candle to Mitchell. He's too busy trying to play it calm and cool, where as Mitchell lets us have it all! I was right on board with all of the suspense in the UK version, and the US version just fails to deliver in every single way. I seriously recommend that you don't even watch the US version unless you are bored like I was, and have nothing better to do.
