Rocky Balboa (2006)

A worthy final chapter
21 December 2006
I have been a fan of the Rocky series ever since my father introduced me to them. There are so many life lessons in these movies and they are far more reaching than just boxing.

This final chapter, "Rocky Balboa", was an appropriate and fitting way to end Sylvester Stallone's life-long legacy of Rocky. Sylvester Stallone is an actor unlike no other. There were parts of this movie where I was in tears and there were parts where I was jumping out of my seat saying, "Get him Rocky!" I have seen so many sequels and trilogies that I have become very doubtful to any movie that is a part 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. This movie proves that you can come up with a great character that can speak to any age and make a movie that is just as good, if not better than the first.

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

Pixar does it again
28 June 2006
Pixar just keeps hitting them out of the park. Larry the cable guy was a great cast as Mater. Owen Wilson as Lightining was another great decision for the makers of Cars. There is never a dull moment while watching this film. I guess that is obvious by the overwhelming success at the box office. Working at a movie theater I get to see the reactions of our patrons after seeing each film we show; Cars is a must see this summer. There are very few genuine family movies released now a days, this is a clean movie that families can come together and enjoy without worrying about having to screen the film before bringing the kids. I recommend everyone go see this film and then go see it again.

Very good Sequel
28 June 2006
Superman was going to be a very difficult movie to make; for both the actors and the crew. Comparing it to the original superman with Christopher Reeves, it fell short, but only a little short. As a sequel, standing alone, it was fantastic. Kevin Spacey was a perfect cast for Lex Luthor and did a wonderful job. I also liked Parker Posey as Mrs. Kitty. She brought some comic relief to the film and did a god job. Kate Bonsworth did an average Lois Lane; I would have liked to see someone else playing the part, like maybe Kate Beckinsale. Brandon Routh who??? I don't think anyone else could have done any better job than he did. He was the next best Superman you could hope to see on the big screen, paying homage to Christopher Reeves. I liked everything about this film and would definitely recommend seeing it. I am going to see it again tonight.
