The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021)
Hear me out: This wasn't about time loop, it's about grief!
You're right, on the surface it does seem like a time loop story, but that's not what it was about for me, it is about saying goodbye and moving on from grief.
As someone who's lost a parent in the recent past, I realized that maybe be this movie is a metaphor for staying stuck in life and not moving on. When you're processing grief and pain, you find little moments of happiness, but you go back to the feeling of the grief you hold in your heart and it's like the same day over. When you're not ready to move on, you replay the moments you had with them, and you go back to the memories and relive them in the mind coz you're not ready to say goodbye.
This movie is probably pointing to the mindset of being stuck and it's probably an invitation in the mind of someone who is not able to walk away from what happened in their life. And one day, you do have to move on. One day, you have to say goodbye and let life pour new experiences into you.
Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds (2012)
Do you have the right antenna to transmit this message?
This documentary will make sense to you if you're on a spiritual journey and have done some preliminary self research about the ideas of consciousness presented by various esoteric cultures over the years. It will make sense to you if you're an artist, naturally creative and have wondered "why does the shape of a circle exist" or "why does a zebra have the patterns that it does". It amalgamates several facets of consciousness together and presents it to you in the form of a narrative. The creator himself likely went through the enlightenment journey and researches a lot and put it together using many concepts and references from different experiments, realized beings and encourages self inquiry.
It is EXACTLY what I needed at this point in time in my journey and when I realized it was answering all the questions I had in my mind, I couldn't help but bawl my eyes out, out of gratitude toward the universe, that was trying to answer questions that have plagued me since childhood.
Just like they say "no two people read the same book", no two people watch the same documentary, for the amount of learning or conceptualization you will take back will depend on the depth of your container or your antenna.
