Nothing But Trouble (1991)
a, jumbled, bizarre, under-appreciated classic
I'll admit it is a strange movie overall with its attempt of hybridizing horror and comedy in a fairly unique way.
but it's also hilarious for that same reason, from the sudden tonal shifts and out of nowhere reveals, and just the general what the hell is going on? feeling from it.
I wholly recommend it if you want something different starring some comedy legends.
just remember to keep a close eye on the judges nose throughout the movie
City of Rott (2006)
good if you remember it was the first movie ever from a one man production
I discovered this movie back in 2016, and after my first viewing I had a similar opinion to some of the other reviews and critique, but after re watching it a few times and checking out the filmmakers other works my opinion changed.
If you're like me and grew up in the 90s and frequented the site Newgrounds.com then the look and animation shouldn't bother you much.
it's got some great gory action, and some good bits of humor.
And it's just impressive one guy made something to this scale that came out fairly well. wholly recommend it and the rest of F.Sudols work
Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver (2011)
so many things wrong with this movie
1.for starters it supposed to be set in 1976, why the heck are there so many modern looking arcade games, Including the simpsons arcade game(considering it was released in the 90s and the show did not even debut until the late 80s), little to no real effort was made to make this a period piece for the 70s, save for clearly costume style clothing and a disco ball, they were too freaking lazy to unplug everything and move it somewhere else for their shots.
2. the gingerdead man himself never resembled how he looked in the poster from the first or second film, ironically now the puppet is modeled (at least up close) to look like the one from the posters but now they use a different puppet for the poster for this one
3. it has lost all of the seriousity(or seriousness) the first one had I have not seen the second one but judging by the trailer there was more effort, this is just garbage, straight up rotten month old garbage mixed with the stench of dead animals and fecal matter
4. no explanation for anything in this film why does a maximum security prison have a time machine? how did the gingerdead man end up there? why does he share a cell with other killer baked goods and pastries? where did they come from? why would you keep acid at a roller skating rink? why didn't they even try to take this seriously? you can make this concept work and make it sort of scary, but they didn't they went the route that made this a bad movie, its not even a so bad its good kind of movie, its terrible, this could compete with oogieloves or return of the killer tomatoes(that was so bad I quit watching halfway through)
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone save for someone on That guy with the glasses or channel awesome. I had to leave a lot of stuff out for due to the 1000 word limit final verdict: atrocious
The Tall Man (2012)
If they had called it any other title I would not be so upset "contains a big spoiler"
I understand calling it "the tall man" because thats the name of the urban legend in the town , but lets face it this title was to trick people into thinking they were watching a movie inspired by the slenderman mythos(or meme if you prefer) but instead we get a film that has nothing to do with it aside from the name, it even attempts to fool you into thinking that they're just trying to keep him hidden until the end like alien or jaws, but instead every freaking time they come close they shoo it away and in the end "spoiler" the tall man is just a member of an organization devoted to saving underprivileged children in bad households, I truly believe that this was a fake title similar to what you would see for an asylum film, its advertised as a horror film when in the end its just a very boring film about vigilante justice shame on the marketing department for trying to advertise this as a slenderman slasher/psychological/horror film. and I cant wait for phelous to do a review on this one
