The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)
Good for families
I'll be straight up and say that if you have a kid that is 9 to 11 years old, this could be a decent family movie to watch together. But adults will likely find this movie misses the mark. The characters are quirky and one-dimensional at the same time and the tone of the movie is a bit uneven. It wasn't a complete waste of time, but at the same time, I don't need to see it again.
Testing Movie1 (2015)
Double line break review
Updating my original review. I still love this movie. Now I'm testing how the rating displays with the review. Brent @ IMDb.
Gentlemen Broncos (2009)
Zany and funny
I get that it might not be everyone's cup of tea but my wife and I found it laugh out loud funny!
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Should have been greater
Overall, a lot of the story wasn't terribly engaging, though it did have moments of brilliance. Several aspects of the plot felt contrived or convenient. The effects were, of course, top notch.
Frozen Fever (2015)
Disappointing when compared to the full-length movie
First, I should say that my six-year-old daughter enjoyed this short. Unfortunately, my wife and I did not. We both found it pretty dull with a lackluster song, and a plot that was lacking as well (Elsa has a cold and wants to throw Anna a birthday party). It felt a bit "phoned in" to me.
In comparison, I thought "Tangled Ever After", the short that followed "Tangled" by a year or two, was quite good. That got my hopes up that "Frozen Fever" would be great as well.
My opinion: "Frozen" is great for the whole family, but "Frozen Fever" is just for kids.
