Revenge: Pilot (2011)
A great start to the series!
Honestly speaking, I had no expectations of this show whatsoever. I didn't even have it in my must-watch list, but I am so glad I gave it a chance, because it was amazing!!
The storyline was intense, the cast was perfect and I couldn't find anything wrong with the show. Emily VanCamp does an amazing job in her role as Amanda/Emily. Kudos to the young girl who also plays Amanda, she was terrific! The story was well-paced, and I enjoyed how we got flash backs of the characters to see how they were related to Emily's father. The scene where Victoria finds out about Lydia at the party was epic. I also liked the scene where Sammy runs to Emily, even though Jack doesn't recognize her. I find Nolan's character also interesting, and would like to know why he has such an interest on Emily.
My issue with the pilot episode was that I felt they revealed too much in the opening scenes, and I think it would have been better if they just started off with Emily moving in to the Hamptons itself, rather than showing the engagement scenes. Also, I didn't care much for Declan and his interest in Daniel's sister Charlotte, but they didn't focus on that too much. Other than that, it was a perfect opening to what I hope to be a great show that lasts a few seasons.
If you are a fan of the last Sidney Sheldon or Aaron Spelling's works, you will definitely enjoy "Revenge". Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the pilot episode for Revenge, and cannot wait to see what happens next.

Revenge: Trust (2011)
Emily new's target: Bill Harmon
This episode was a lot of fun to watch, but the plot was not as good as the pilot. I thought it was a little unrealistic that Bill would tell everyone in his company to invest on AllCom Cellular, based on a tip from Emily whom he only met the previous day, just because he saw her with Nolan. It would have been better if Emily's plan was a bit more complex and mind-boggling. Also, we never find out how Emily got Bill's ID card or even got into the building when no one was around. Nevertheless, it was still fun watching the demise of Bill. I also found the character of Nolan to be more witty and interesting as compared to the pilot episode.
My main concern with this show in general is that I don't know how they will last past one season, if they only continue this format of Emily taking her revenge on one person per episode. There would have been like, what, 20 to 30 people max that implicated Amanda's father, so I think the writers should start focusing on starting other story lines which doesn't revolve around Emily taking revenge for her father, but say, another character like Victoria, Jack or even Nolan taking their revenge out on someone for some other reason.
Overall, I still love this show, and enjoyed this episode, but I think they need to kick it up a notch and make the plots more complex.

Hart of Dixie: Pilot (2011)
Disappointing, yet hopeful start to the series
Review: I am a big fan of Rachel Bilson and was really looking forward to this show for that one reason only. I was a little disappointed in watching the pilot for a number of reasons.
First of all, no offense to Rachel, but the dialogue for Zoe Hart felt too much like Summer (from The O.C.) pretending to be a doctor. It didn't give me the impression that Rachel was playing a new character. I just felt like I was seeing Summer all over again, which is nice in a way, but it is totally wrong for this show. Secondly, I thought it was a little strange that this was the ONLY option Zoe had. Just because she didn't get the fellowship in New York doesn't mean that she couldn't try her luck in other major cities. I felt like she could have had so many better options than to come to Blue Bells to start her medical career. Finally, the main issue I had with this show was how it depicted Southerners to be so backwards that they didn't even have electricity or had just put up satellite recently.
However, there are some aspects I liked about the pilot. For one thing, I enjoyed the main premise of the show, where we see Zoe make a major transition in trying to adjust in a small knit community, even though she really wishes she wasn't there. The end of the episode where Zoe finds out why Wilkes gave her half the practice was nicely done and to me was the highlight of the show. I also enjoyed watching the storyline of Zoe supporting Mabel.
Overall, I felt the pilot didn't meet my expectations, but I will still watch a few more episodes to see if it improves or not.
