Lingaa (2014)

except for rajini its plain crap.

this movie is too painful to describe, this is one of the worst projects done by rajini. well only the craaazzzyyyy fans of rajinikath with get a kick out of the movie, otherwise the movie is too generic, too predictable and flat out dry. given that its a movie of a very respected director, he just hasn't done his best in this movie.

lets list this movie by its pros and cons.

pros: unquestionably the acting is great across the board, rajini puts his best into the movie. hes just as bad-ass as he is in all his other movies. Anuska does a fine job as a heroine but shes not given as much to do as one would expect. sonaksi is a real stand out. as its her debut film shes really pulls of her character and she is one of the best things in the movie. the supporting cast is strong and the witty comedy is heart warming. the action is just what you'll expect in a rajini movie but thats about.thats all thats good abt the movie

cons: as u can expect the bad things is just gonna pile up here. the script is paper thin and the length of the movie is its biggest flaw. the movie is too draggy and the screenplay is too boring to watch. the flashback sequence of the movie is way to long. the editing is mediocre and the song placement just doesn't make sense. the biggest letdown in the movie is the final 15min. it just destroys logic in every way possible. the movie tried hard to make us "wow" but it just ended up making us place our hands on our heads in grief.

its best to be left unwatched. it just doesn't pack a punch and its a total waste of movie, watch it when it comes on TV someday. this is not the one you want to spend on.

Total Recall (I) (2012)

OK-ish

i haven't seen the original so i am reviewing this as a new movie and not comparing this one to the original. This movie is okaish, cant call this a good movie or either a bad movie. Flat characters, uninteresting plot and repetitive action scenes stop this ambitious film from being a blockbuster. The plot, there's nothing different or special about this storyline. its the typical sci-fi secret agent plot line with fancy cars and tech. the movie tries to have some plot twists but none of them seem to make me jump of my seat. The characters are flat. there is nothing much given to collen other than jumping frantically from rooftops and saying some shitty dialogues. The actress is a let down, to be honest this movie would be still watchable without the actress, its like she is just there because there should be. The action sequences are the ones which makes you go like "ya ya I've seen this already". There is always a running and chasing scene every 5 min. when you finally start to enjoy something, it goes to back to the same chase and in the end you'll force yourself not to expect to much. there are some good stuff though, for once the "colony" or rather the city of civilization is well realized, its dense and at time it makes you believe that this movie is taking place in the future. if your expecting action, you'll be disappointed. your expecting a good story, again you'll be disappointed. but surprisingly the movie never makes you say "it boring". i don't know what exactly kept me watching the movie but yes something did keep me watching the movie. lets say for example, the director of i robot did this movie while sitting in his couch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012 Video Game)

the best of the series

where do i start. this is the best COD of the franchise. some would love to hate this but COD is famous for a reason, no other FPS game has matched the fast fluid action that COD has nailed. sure enough the graphics are not the best of what are out there, but it is decent enough to say that this is the best graphics game in the COD franchise. there is soo much to cover in this game so ill try and make it short. CAMPAIGN:- this campaign is short, longer than the previous entries but it is short. but there is sooo much variety and gameplay changes to counter this flaw. the story is awesome and convincing and the villain is AWESOME. there are the returning characters from Black ops which is a good thing. this time around you shape the way the story progresses, sometimes the choices you take has such a drastic change in the story that it actually changes the ending, yes thats an awesome reason for you to play the game twice. the game frequently shifts from segments in the past and future but it never confuses you in any cost. this is in many ways a era to the franchise. MULTIPLAYER:- this is down right the best multiplayer experience in the franchise. there are sooo much of changes in the multiplayer thats makes this game the best mulyiplayer experience than any other. the maps are small and i mean REALLY small. but thats actually an awesome thing, your constantly engaged in the action rather than running around wildly searching for foes. this time around there is something "pick 10" option, which means you can set only 10 equipments in one class. this makes you set your class strategically according to the maps. this time the kill streaks are replaced with score streaks and this is awesome, you earn your streaks by the amount of points you gain and this is awesome when your playing matches such as domination or kill confirmed. the level up is very rewarding and the guns are best of the series. there are so much more awesome stuff but i wanna keep this review short. ZOMBIES:- the zombies return and they are freaking cool. this time there is something called the tranzist, a small campaign which is unfolded through radios after completing each wave of horrifying zombies. playing with a friend is the best way to experience this mode and there are different varieties of modes to keep you engaged for months.

VERDICT:- this is by far the best COD game ever realised and this is a must pick up game for any playstation or xbox owners, sure there is some lag and framerate issues in the multiplayer but it is never bad enough to ruin the experience. this is in many ways a new beginning to the franchise and this could turn any FPS gamer to fall in love with the franchise.

Jilla (2014)

another VIJAY movie

well lets say, this is another typical vijay movie. its got a similar storyline like his previous movies, save his father, help the poor. its all the same but the movie actually doesn't get you bored at any part, it actually moves you along, there are no stand out scenes in the movie, the movie does a decent job of telling what it wants us to know.

the acting is amazing, vijay brings his likability to screen and mohanlal brings his best out to screen, this time around there is a lot of emotional moments and vijay and mohanlal nail the emotional scenes. the action scenes are exactly what you can expect from a vijay movie, the comedy also is pretty good, though they have double meaning, kajal looks adorable and there is no much importance for her role, she is just there for the sake of having an actress in the movie,something lack in the film but it never pulls you off the experience,this is the movie you can watch once, don't get your expectations high, just sit and get a popcorn

The Wolverine (2013)

i am not sure if i should say that this movie is good or bad,it is a OK movie i am a huge fan of the xmen series and a die-hard fan of wolverine, i went in with a lot of expectations but i was almost disappointed, there were a lot of plot holes and many parts in the movie just didn't make sense, sometimes it makes you go like "how dafaq did that happen" but there is a solid cast and Hugh Jackman's's acting is topnotch the action sequences are actually a stand out and the ending is something which you wont expect, some people would love to hate the climax the movie is pretty decent though i felt it has a week storyline the after-credit scene makes you jump up the seat and wanting to wait for a sequel it isn't a bad movie, i would just say to maintain your expectations this is just a movie you could watch once, it ties off quickly than you could expect

Kick-Ass (2010)

honestly saying this movie is brilliant, in many ways, a masterpiece. it is packed with awesomeness, violence and crude humor, it is so far the most sensible superhero movie till now the story is simple, a geeky teen, fascinated by comics, one day decides to be a superhero, but unfortunately runs into a situation with a powerful drug dealer the screenplay is just beautiful and the acting is a stand out, the movie actually makes us to care for its characters and the intro of all the characters just makes u go like "whoa, this is awesome" the humor is topnotch and the violence is....well thats whats best in this movie, the violence is sometimes a bit too much but it never pulls of the experience with a disgust, say for just a small scene this is one of the best movies I've seen so far but haters would simply love to hate it, if u walk in the theater expecting "spiderman" or "batman" action sequences, well u could be disappointed, the action sequences in this movie are more realistic and not sequences with heroes flying and punching with superhuman strength the villain is likable and everything evolves in the movie, just perfectly well it certainly isn't a movie for young viewers but enough said,this is a must watch movie and your surely gonna love this superhero
