Fire Country (2022)
Turned Into a Mud Slide
I started watching this show with my 15 year old. We'd get some episodes in together. It started out decent. My son bailed on me half way in, so I picked up with my wife for the second half. It went down hill, then into a complete rabbit hole. I've never seen someone be allowed to break so many rules and have visitors all times of the night without consequences, but his fellow inmates aren't given those same concessions. I have friends, but there's no way I put myself in a situation to go back to prison labeled as a snitch, when Freddy could have finished his 2 years out at Fire Camp. You give up family and friends for a 6 month friendship. Plus, who knows if she was just bluffing and Freddy would have been released anyway. I don't think there's much to keep me interested to tune in to season 2. I hate stupid and this show turned out stupid. My wife turned it off after the season finale. Hopefully, she's done with it or else I'm going to spend my quality time with her pretending to watch this show, while reading my Golf For Dummies book.

I Don't Know What This Was Supposed To Be
I think I was turned off once the father married a girl that he raised since she was a child. Calling her his good luck charm. Too much back and forth and brothers and sisters and lovers. Weird stuff. The father fights for the south but lives with Indians. You have a masquerade ball allowing any and everyone into your camp and then go and attack a town. The town you attack wasn't expecting you and had no security or wasn't prepared for retaliation. Watched the whole thing on and off because I was watching with my wife. But overall just a weird show. Then as a father you're watching your daughter with a man that's the same age as you and you don't have issue with that. Just a weird show. Should have called it something else. The voices were stupid as well for it to be Texas. Even worse. I just reduced it to one star. In the end the father goes through all this to find his daughter and then leaves his only living relative to go west to the Pacific. Waste of time. Waste of show.
House of Cards (2013)
Fall from Grace
Like everyone the first 4 seasons were great. Couldn't stop watching. Season 5 was ok. But season 6 was a waste of time with no closure at all. Firing your whole cabinet because they wanted to remove you because as the president you were on hiatus for nearly an month. You should have been removed from office. Then to end with clearing the White House and killing someone in your office without ever facing punishment for murder as the president? I've seen some bad endings to series, but this is probably the worst ever. Like many said, they should have just called it quits while they were ahead at the end of season 5. No my last impressions are what a terrible ending that was a great show. Doug Stamper was the best part of the show and even towards the end I just wished he'd poop or get off the pot with all his micro threats.

Background noise while I slept.
The grandpa has a safe full of money and gold that he keeps open the whole movie. You know people are after you, but you keep a 5 round gun in the safe instead of close by so that you can use it. Isn't the purpose of a safe to keep it closed and it's contents secure? I guess during COVID being a metal pipe carrying thug was the only job available because there is an Unlimited amount thugs all day. Too many irritating scenes to point out. If you have nothing better to do. Give it a watch. I slept through some and read through the rest. Bare knuckle boxing with no damage to their hands and getting hit with medal pipes all show long with small bruises to show for it.
Black Summer (2019)
Too Little Time to Spend wasting
I value my time and after 4 episodes I still have no idea what this show is about and I've only seen 2 zombies killed. Like everyone else says. Just a bunch of fast running and grunting zombies. It seems like the humans are the ones who are brain dead. So does every zombie movie include people who have never seen a zombie movies. Worthless. Watched an episode where one zombie chases one guy who was too afraid to come help when someone was trying to help him. Waste of time.
Jack Ryan (2018)
I've read the books
I would rate it higher, but I've read several of the books, so I have to often cancel out the fact that in his books he's married to a doctor and he has 2 kids. But once I get past that, it's a pretty good show.
Homecoming (2018)
Season 1 Ok, Season 2, not so much
Season 1 wasn't bad. So when I tuned in to season 2, I guess my expectations got the best of me. Bad news is season 2 wasn't good to me, the good news is it's only 30 minute intervals so it was a quick watch and passed the time during these pandemic times. From an acting standpoint, no one really captured me or stood out. I see it's still open, so hopefully season 3 is a rebound one.
La casa de papel (2017)
Highly Disappointed
Heard such great things about this series. Finally got around to watching it and realize it's disappointing. These are some of the dumbest, undisciplined bank robbers ever. No one watches the hostages, the robbers are all over the bank leaving the hostages unattended. Cops leave the hostage scene to go eat lunch. This is like a longer, worse version of Inside Man, which was actually a good movie. I don't need to see anyone die, but a organized team would be nice. But then again, I'm only 6 episodes in, so maybe it will get better.
