Is this the funniest Melissa McCarthy movie ever? No. Is this the funniest movie ever? Certainly not. Would I have been disappointed if I had paid full theater price to see this? Maybe, maybe not. Look, we really enjoyed this movie and there were a lot of scenes in this movie that both my wife and I laughed out loud at. Which really makes me wonder why this movie received such a horrible IMDb score. I suppose our expectations were lowered by all the negative reviews and very low IMDb and Rotten Tomato's scores, but we were pleasantly surprised. My advice: if you're really skeptical, like we were, just wait for a free Redbox code, rent it and enjoy.
