Very good and not what you'd expect...

Im not sure why i bought this - I had not seen it or even ever heard of it and it doesnt even look very good based on the cover. I think it was something in the description on the back cover that tipped me off that this might be something out of the norm.. At any rate, this was the case. This is not a horror movie as you would think from the cover, in fact its not scary at all and doesnt try to be.

I dont feel like going into details, really i just wanted to add another positive review for a very good but unknown movie. Off beat but realistic. This will not appeal to alot of people but if you have an open mind and like indie-ish/different movies you quite possibly will like this alot.

Ok, I wanted to put my 2 cents in, but the guy whos review is titled "Boooooring" seems to have said everything I was thinking. I think this movie makes a point to not give in and do what you want it too. Which I respect I guess, but its at the sake of this movie being at all interesting. The only reason I watched the whole thing was cause I hoped it was gonna take off at some point, but never did. The story is, A married couple both dentists have a practice together, husband sees wife cheating (not even in the way I was hoping), spends the rest of the movie entertaining fantasies of her cheating, him cheating, hurting her and an imaginary friend. In the meantime his family one by one comes down with the flu and he starts to notice the changes in his wife. I know it kinda sounds like it might be cool, but trust me its not. The acting from the leads was good, no complaint there. Bottom line is IMO not worth even seeing unless you just really have nothing better do. Cant see anyone honestly really enjoying this. laaaaaate

I liked this alot, enough to buy it (which is saying something). Sure its not all that scary, but I mean what is these days (besides like, you know, reality)? Part of the wave of neu-horror with intentionally over the top characters, and campiness, but without coming off as a big joke. Sure alot of old-timers might have hang-ups because this isnt TCM or whatever, who cares take this on its own merits. Personally for someone relatively new to the horror genre, I think this is alot better watch then some old school flick anyway. Definetly worth the rental, but if it sounds like something you might really like you may just want to buy the dvd as it has a good number of extras. Hope it helps Laaaaaate

I said "MEHH!". No but seriously, this movie is alright, not a bad watch if you enjoy "slacker" or just "slice of life-ish" light comedies. Being a Steve Zahn fan is also a big plus, though I coulda stood for a little more screen time for him (he does get plenty though). Not a whole lot of plot here which is, in my mind, where this movie kinda fumbles. I think that was kinda the point though. Anyways basically, just shows a month (few weeks, or so who knows) period in the life of a post college wanna-be writer (not sure who the actor was, he was alright), chillin with his stoner buddy (Zahn) working at the mall, and random run-ins with old high-school acquantinces. Subtly makes its way into a somewhat (IMO) poignant coming of age (some age anyway) story. Dont want to give anything away - not that it would matter much or that theres even much to give away - but at the end I was actually left somewhat affected by what I considered to be the message. That could be because Im in generally the same circumstances as the guys though. Overall , if this sounds like something you would like you probaly will to some degree. I wouldnt consider this an immediate must see or anything though. If this genre, or the actors dont interest you, I cant see you liking this much. Hope this helps Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate
