Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty: The New World (2023)
You shouldn't make a whole episode that's irritating until the last scene
This episodes story should have been condensed to 10 minutes in another episode. Final scene was all I needed to see.
I don't like how they were portraying the other players, like norm, as having some right to be resentful of magics contract - i can only describe that as misguided and cringe.
Been fast forwarding past Jeanie storyline this season, as well as this new character, honey. I'd rather see more of Kareem, Jerry west and dr. Buss.
I guess Jason segel is doing a good job acting smug and dismissive but it's laid on a bit thick and his behavior is too irrational to really make sense of.
Fast & Furious 7 (2015)
Simply epic
I absolutely love this movie and I know exactly how corny this franchise is. There's parts of this movie that are obviously unrealistic like how irresponsible the TORETTO family drawing an army of mercenaries to busy DTLA. There's parts that are out of place and tone but laugh out loud hilarious like when tony jaa chuckles mischievously and runs away from the sliding warbus or "DADDY'S GOTTA GO TO WORK!"
But the action scenes are still perfectly choreographed. The etihad towers stunt is incredible. TORETTO still talks like the engine of the American muscle he drives. I still teared up when Brian drove away. The scale and grandness of the franchise seems at its apex in this movie. That's why is a top 10 all time action movie and the best F&F movie.
Ted Lasso: Beard After Hours (2021)
"Different type of episode"
I would rate this a 8.5/10 but I need to do my part to offset votes from Big Bang theory fans who just like Ted lasso for the light energy and stereotype jokes.
Succession: This Is Not for Tears (2019)
Shiv doesn't deserve it
Finally some acknowledgment of her wrongs. A lot happened this episode I know but this is the first time Tom, by far the most likable and well written for character on the show, actually had his humanity acknowledged. And he was too human to go down for that. Logan probably initially assumed Kendall wasn't human either- just a ghost. But as he went down he asked for a reason and Logan gave him a challenge for redemption.
House M.D.: Simple Explanation (2009)
House should have noticed
Kutner ended it after house gave him props and made him feel like an equal. This presumably led to the thought, "I'm a great doctor. I save people when nobody else can. But I couldn't save my parents." House should've recognized that thought as he's constantly and painfully reminded at all times that he was a great doctor, but he couldn't save his leg.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Did they really expect me to empathize w Cersei
Whoever decided this was how the end should be doesn't seem to have actually watched GOT
