I love JK Simmons...but.....what the.....

Clearly he is either in debt or someone has some revealing photos they are using to blackmail him - why else would a good actor like JK Simmons appear in this utter garbage movie?

There is NOTHING good to say about it - I mean even the muzzle flairs represents some of the worst CGI on screen in decades.

Inside No. 9 (2014–2024)

Underwhelmed

I started out and watched the whole of Season 1.

I felt rather underwhelmed.

The acting and cinematography is all ok - it's just that the stories/writing feels...well...lacking.

I rate shows that I want to continue watching a 5+ but, sadly, for Inside No 9, I can't see myself watching the next season - especially with so much other great content around.

Lazareth (2024)

A big meh

The movie feels like a mix of movies we've already seen in this genre. Nothing felt new, nothing was surprising or stood out. It was just one big...meh.

The male lead was the weakest in the cast - to the point I just wanted to fast forward when he was on screen.

You can certainly find something better to watch this year - but you'll have to dig to find something worse released this year.

Godzilla Minus One (2023)

I wanted to like it more than I did

It's not a bad movie at all - relatively well acted, well written and decent cinematography - but it never really felt like a Godzilla movie to me.

Godzilla ended up being so secondary in the story, behind relationship, loss and personal struggles of regret that he became a mere afterthought.

It's a pretty good movie..but maybe not a great Godzilla movie.

Another male-hating show

It's getting SO old that the only way there can be strong female characters in movies and shows is by having an abundance of them AND making the male characters evil, dumb and incompetent.

Terrible casting and writing - the plot is just all over the place and makes it so you don't care/connect with anyone on the show.

Good idea - but that's it.

SO much better than the most rubbish that is produced now.

It knows what it is and it does a great job staying within its lanes.

Writing and acting are deliberately goofy and the movie pulls it off.

I really enjoyed this.

I enjoyed it a whole lot more than any of the ten latest Marvel movies lol

They really blew it

I mean, the premise is ok, the actors are in many cases great, the cinematography is not bad....but....it's just such a boring, pointless mess!

I had some hopes for this when I saw the list of actors...but holy cow, this was SUCH a bad movie.

I'd avoid it at all cost - spend your precious time doing something else.

Ugh.

Not only is it terrible when it comes to acting, plot, effects...wait...it's actually terrible in EVERY way.

This must have been some film school class project..there is no way this was created and published by anyone with any degree of experience or skill w/in the industry.

Lousy Carter (2023)

An unexpected delight

Wasn't too sure what this movie was when I started watching but was quickly drawn in.

The acting, especially by the main actor, was really enjoyable and in the end I found myself wanting for more.

Really well acted with, granted, a somewhat predictable plot.

Worth a watch for sure.

Boy Wonder (2010)

Good movie with spotty acting

The movie was surprisingly entertaining and had a good plot and characters in it. The acting of Zulay Henao was the only low-point in the movie..it was so bad I was cringing every time she uttered another flat line. She's pretty hot but oh man...that lack of acting skills killed it for me. The story held up well throughout the movie and had a rather interesting ending that, if nothing else, you may want to hold out for.

All in all I give the movie a 6. Had Zulay Henao not been in it (or kept quiet the entire movie) I think it may had been a 7.

Overall it's worth a couple of hours on a lazy Sunday evening to see it.
