Girl in the Closet (2023)
So what happened?
Remy's acting was subpar. I was waiting for someone to go into the closet. You're in the basement the whole movie until the last couple of minutes. I think the movie had a different title. I want more of the resolution. I want details on each person and what happened. A lengthy present sentence is not a resolution that I'm looking for. I want to know how many years, what they were charged with, I want to know what happened to all the victims. Within the movie, I wanted to know more things about the children. I just need more out of this movie. Pictures of the victims or news broadcast of the actual events would have been great as well. If you're of the culture you should watch and support.
Chris Redd: Why am I Like This? (2022)
So funny. Needs better editing
I loved it. I would've given it a higher rating, but I wasn't a fan of the quick opening. It wasn't edited to make it seem like it was the true start of the show. Same goes for the ending. He grabbed the microphone stand and the crowd started clapping, knowing it was the end of the show. I thought I missed something so I rewound it. All in all, it was a great show and the funniest show I've seen in a while. Love the audience dialogue. Chris is great at talking to the audience and adding more contents to his routine on the fly. I truly enjoyed the special and glad that I stumbled upon it. I'm a Chris Redd fan and kicked myself when I realize I missed this one.
Jigeum uri hakgyoneun (2022)
Too much BS
I like the show but I don't like the show. I want to feel like this could actually happen. Zombies infestation and now you have to survive. So why are we talking about our feelings and who likes who? We should be making plans and executing plans not stopping to talk about how this makes us feel. It takes the realism out of it. This could be a great show if the writers said what would I do in this situation instead of how can we throw in as many metaphors and quotes that now for some reason we have to analyze. Also, weren't those soldiers trained? How did they miss shooting him so badly that he was only hit randomly underwater? They should've lit him up profusely before he even touched the water. The jokes are cool and even the playfulness is okay but when things get so far fetched that it alters what the characters do it makes the scene nonsensical. I'm in the middle of the 7th episode right now. Hope nothing truly dumb comes up to alter the me watching a second season.
SparkShorts: Purl (2018)
Not for young kids
Good thing I decided to watch this before playing for my 5 and 2 yo.
The New Mutants (2020)
Worth watching? Still trying to decide.
I was excited for a year to finally watch this movie. Avid comic collector and certified geek in attendance. First off, why not go into the backstories of all the mutants in detail? Why not make the story more compelling? This movie felt like it was made for tv. Future x-men in attendance here! Act accordingly. Horror? Nope. Didn't even care about that. Just wanted the mutants stories and it fell so short. While writing this I was reminded of how this movie made me feel so I'm dropping my rating from 6 to 5.

DONT WATCH IF UR DUMB
also don't watch if ur the type that doesn't always pay attention to the movies ur watching. This is a long complicated movie. The story is incredible and the twists at the end were mind blowing. Only gave 8/10 because of how smart of a movie it was. If it was a lil dumber that most people would u sweat and 10/10. My wife could barely follow n had questions at the end. Great movie. Easily an hr series on a premium network.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
What about Genisys?
So I didn't watch the last two terminator movies until yesterday. This one was available but Genisys wasn't for a long time and I need to watch movies in order. So, I was very happy to see both movies were available from my cable provider at the same time. Immediately I watched Genisys. I watched it knowing there was another one to follow. So I was eager to see how a cooler Arnold Schwarzenegger terminator character would do in the following movie.
At the end of Genisys, the original terminator, now named "pops" by a young Sarah Conner Almost dies. I'm thinking he's can't die because I know he's in the next one. He ends up getting an upgrade. He falls into a vat that gives him liquid metal abilities. He used it only once in the movie when he broke open the door To the room John's parents we're trapped in. Thinking that they stopped the apocalypse from happening by destroying the company that will harber skynet and garner in the human existence. Great. So did something happen that was unexpected? What's the new threat? I mean there is another movie so...why?
So now it's dark fate time. I hate the name. Starts off with a pretty Mexican girl being hunted by a terminator. By far the coolest one as it can use it's metal skeletal frame independent of the liquid metal body. Oh no wait. That's not how it starts. Young Arnold comes out of the water like aquaman and kills a young John Conner in front of his mother. Where was the terminator we know and love from like 6 previous movies? Hmm. So we find that he has been sending texts to Sarah for some time of terminator sites with the tag "for John". When the door opens at the cabin and she sees him she tried to blow his head off. I'm thinking that she was mad because he said he'd always be there for her and allowed her son to die. But why would they come after John anyway if there was no skynet? Therefore, no need for a leader of the resistance? Also, side note, it wasn't revealed who sent him in the first place to protect Sarah in the last movie. But it turns out this was not "pops". This was the terminator that killed John in the beginning of the movie. So no cooler Schwarzenegger terminator, no follow up to Genisys, no mention of where Reese (John's father) was. And Arnold does at the end? "I won't be back". He actually said that.
The girl is the new leader to a new resistance to a new Robot threat. Ok. So we just can't be original anymore? We saw this with John. We saw this with in some way with Sarah. They could've given the girl so many reasons to be terminated and they go with the same story. Unoriginal. They could've made her a low key technical genius that develops a way to take down the AI onslaught with a key stroke or any other possibilities.
After I wrote this review, I changed my rating from a 6 to a 5. Do better Hollywood. Do better.
Raising Dion (2019)
Mmm mmm mmm Alisha
The twist at the end was awesome. I would like to see more of Mike. I was hoping he would come back towards the end but hopefully next season. Alisha is a whole damn meal and I find myself watching just for her. The kid is okay but I think Alisha and Mike would make a cuter kid.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019)
Ryan's the dad. Cool ... now whaaaat
I was confused about the ending. Did everyone lose their memories? Did they go back in time where he got the choice to live with his dad? I enjoyed the nostalgia of all the Pokémon and got excited when I recognized some of my favorites. But the ending needed more polishing.
A-X-L (2018)
Surprising okay family movie
Good ending. Surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it.
Musically Challenged (2017)
Repetitive
It has promise to be a fun, quiz show but it's like they only have about 3-5 songs to work with. The episodes are only 12 mins and they're able to do 4 games. They group 2 at the same time but it's still 4 games in such a small time. They also don't explain that the 2 sitting together are competitors. The way it's set up may make you believe it's duo vs duo until they start showing you points scored. The set is cheap, the host just introduces the games and isn't there to guide the game. She is very cute though. We need to see more of her. The best part of the show are the memes. I hope producers see this post and make this show an amazing part of revolt's lineup.
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Please read the comics
Of course the book was way better. The civil war spanned the entire marvel universe (or at least the us). It wasn't just centered on the avengers. This could of been an even bigger movie deriving the culmination of mini series and other films just off this one movie. This movie was a hit but also a miss. Movie by itself without background info is a 7-8.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
More
Loved having more insight to my favorite band of all time. Loved hearing some of my favorite songs and even some of the thinking behind their development. Would have loved if the stories of the other band members were of more focus.
