Road House (2024)

A lame imitation of the original

What this film lacks it makes up for trying to hard, and even then it not slides down the slippery slope. The film does have at least one likable character and that is Knox, it's hard to mess up being villain but Connor is about the only who succeeds at being exactly what his character is supposed to be, and not an ounce more. Where as Dalton, is a complete mess, some PTSD UFC lets give an action hero a tragic back story, while still trying to make them look like on BMF. Which fails on so many levels with preachy monologues left for super villains and not some goon. But the most tragic part of our story, is the CGI fight scenes with bad editing, and weird muscle rippling.

Unexpected Surprises

What amazes me is that the director goes on about the runtime of the film and goes along the lines of completeness. To be honest, the screenplay is quiet good, and it felt like a full story. But complete is an understatement when the novel which is it's obvious source is about 50ish hours in comparison to 157 minutes. Nitpicking aside

I enjoyed the movie, Rachel Zegler though, either you have the accent or you don't make up your mind. Tom Blyth as Snow was a treat, Peter Dinklage *chefs kiss* --- but the real star Viola Davis an absolute gem on screen.

So over all I didn't hate the film, but i certainly have my opinions. My biggest one is this.

Blyth and Zeglar have zero chemistry on screen together. Apart they are fine, together not so much.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022)

Mind Blown

I had no clue what I was expecting, when I clicked on the show. From the first few minutes I was slowly drawn into the show, and by the end of the first episode, I was hooked. What an absolutely beautiful show.

I just discovered this gem on Prime, I am in stitches, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Grammar & Laurence are a great duo.

Waste of a perfectly good concept

I've watched some bad shows, but this is the by far the worst one I have ever seen. It is so badly written, and completely atrocious. I think another user said it best this feels like a steampunk elementary school play. Save yourself some time and go out get a burger and fries, turn on your video game console because if you are going to waste your time do it right.

Honestly, my only real complaint was the son, other than that I did enjoy the film, it was cheesy and nostalgic. But what really sold it for me was the musical guests... that was fleek

Death Note: Light Up the New World (2016)

What a waste of potential.

I am going to make this short and sweet. If you are watching this movie because you enjoyed the original Death Note series then you are wasting your time.

The poorly thought out plot and development of the story will leave a sour taste in your mouth.

While there are some cameo appearances from the original cast - it doesn't save the film from itself, but uses them as cliched plot hooks to make you think there is something bigger a long the way.

Here is a spoiler and it really disturbs me the most.

The idea that L and Kira/Light both had time to store their DNA, or have children is absurd. I mean to the point of the absurdity that it doesn't even make sense. I've read the Manga, Watched all the Anime, seen the live action films, and even ready the light novels. and not once, in any of that source material - key words here are SOURCE MATERIAL - is there an ounce of Kira/Light having a child, or L storing his DNA. Now only ten years have passed and these clones and children are full grown adults? give me a break!!!

Anyways, This movie is awful, Sorry dudes you failed big time
