Nothing remotely funny here.
7 February 2004
After reading all of the positive comments I felt compelled to post my views on this film as well.

I found this movie to be absolutely dreadful. It wasn't the acting, since I think Patricia, Katie and all the others all made a magnificent performance in this film. What I disliked about this movie were the overall storyline and the shaky camera-work.

This was supposed to be at least a little funny (it said comedy/drama), but I wasn't able to detect anything even remotely funny in this entire flick. It was all just overly dramatic throughout the entire movie.

I normally never turn off a movie, but with this one I had that urge several times. And when the ending finally came I was surprised to see it had lasted only just over 75 minutes.

To me this seemed more like the type of dramatic, emotional chick-flick my mother would enjoy. Being a man in my twenties I probably wasn't part of the target group, but since I happen to see it, I thought it would be a good idea to warn other men about this. So if you want to see this movie because you expect some good laughs, don't see it. It would only disappoint you. But if you want to see something which will make you feel sad and makes you think about cancer, death and failed lives, all shot in an artistic way with shaky camera-work, this would be a movie for you.

I gave it a 1. If I want to see drama I could see it on TV daily. And at least those made-for-TV-flicks have better camera-work than this.
