Harry & Meghan (2022)
Is public memory so short...
...that we've forgotten EXACTLY what happened to Princess Diana...the gaslighting, abuse, and vicious attacks on her BY the institution??
Look, this is a type of reality show and naturally some feels canned. But overall, the couple seem genuine standing their sacred ground abd going nose to nose with the bullying of an institution built on the ultimate bullying: colonization.
There's no pretense in this show other than for the lives of all things public, letvthis coyple have THEIR say.
Their say complete and uninterrupted. Not a "response" to every single time their lives have been raked over the coals of pocketed so called journalism. A story uninterrupted by the restrictive demands of a antiquatec monarchal institution whose sole purpose is to protect its members at all costs.
As far as becoming a member of this "institution", is the public really so short sited with such poor memory the similarities of what happened to Harry & Meghan and what happened to Princess Diana?
Gaslighting blinds you. It causes you to not see or think clearly ESPECIALLY if the abusing party is skilled. And let's face it, those within the monarchy have honed that skill fir literally a thousand us years.
This couple never pretends to NOT be in the public eye. They don't take fir granted the incredible monetary resources they have as seen in their abundant philanthropic works.
Meghan is an actress and her profession has trained her to be able to put masks on and off...to perform. But hearing g her talk about the utter terror she had when realizing how vulnerable her family...her babies were. To know, not just that someone could want her dead, but that Harry's mother IS dead and really, vhas that ever truly been explained without doubt.
Harry comes across as a boy who grew up and realized he HAD to get his family put of that toxic environment because he saw first hand what it did to his mother.
He acknowledged his mistakes and takes responsibility without false pretense or false humility.
Honestly, I think they held back. How insane it could make a person knowing your own family puts an institution ahead of all else.
How sad the family is now estranged.
But...
Kiddos to them when they chose to STOP drinking the proverbial institutional kool-aid.
House M.D.: Autopsy (2005)
Chase kisses a child and...
I want to love this episode. It tugs at the heart like many House episodes, the music is amazing, and well, House is as obnoxiously correct as usual.
BUT...
Is it just me or is it co pretty creepy that Dr. Chase actually kissed on the mouth a 9 year old child?
I mean, I get it. She was dying and it's very much like in Little Women when Amy has Laurie promise to kiss her before she dies...but not really cuz Laurie didn't actually kiss Amy until she was legal!
Maybe it was "more acceptable".... I can't really write back then cuz it was not that long ago.
So, it would have a nice 10, but loses 5 for kinda of assaulting a vhild🤷♀️.
Back to the Rafters (2021)
A really nice reboot!
It has the same feel, same characters, and new ones that make this a really nice updated version.
Why all the hating on Ruby??? She's a 9 year old kid with passion for current issues. Believe me, this is the LEAST "woke" show around so don't let the naysayers influence you!
She's also the child of older parents AND siblings, so naturally she's going to be more mature for her age.
The story archs with the Rafter kids are modern, current.
Plus there's real marriage issues that many couples face despite being married for 35 years.
I really hope they give us 1 more season at least!

Road to Avonlea: How Kissing Was Discovered (1990)
Huge fan but it's overlooked...
I love Avonlea, but the age gap between the actors M. Mahoney and G. Zamprogna was TWELVE years. She was 14 and he was 26...though to this day he looks MUCH younger.
They were adorable together but the age difference makes it a little creepy. Ah the 90s!
Road to Avonlea: Moving On (1993)
An episode that did NOT age well
So, I'm a huge Avonlea fan. Recently I popped in a random DVD and this episode popped up.
It has not "aged" well at all😱.
I mean, I get it. Sarah has "father issues". She's basically orphaned and living in a small town. She's all angsty at 14 and is infatuated with a father figure.
But that doesn't really matter cuz she is "mesmerized" by this GROWN UP MAN who could be her OLDER AGED father! 27 years apart.
Even Sarah Polley didn't "get it" when they were filming, but she had an AH-HA moment years later like "WTF wassup with that??"
A major ick factor even if Treat Williams looked kinda younger. Like 30.
It was not usual back in the early 1900s for younger women to marry older men BUT that doesn't make it any less cuh-reepy cuz this was filmed in the 1990s!
It didn't hit me as odd the 1st few times I watched it....no clue why🤷♀️
Thankfully it was only a crush a no kissing...they saved that for the weird Felicity and Gus Pike actors who are 12 years apart 😳 at 14 and 26 in "How Kissing Was Invented".
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
I wanted this to be AMAZING...but...
This is a tough one. I love all things Wizarding World and enjoyed the 1st 2 installments, but Secrets of Dumbledore fell short in continuity and really didn't reveal many "secrets". The one "big" reveal was awkward and forced. The huge plot holes could have been filled with dialog rather than "cloak and dagger" running scenes that lagged on.
But most disappointing was the lack of MAGIC!
Where are the spells, charms, quirky magical responses?
Mads M. Did a great job and the tiny cave lobster scene was very funny, but it all fell short...it felt like it was building up to something...like when you're at the beach and you think there's a huge wave coming to sure but as you wait to jump into it...it dies out before it gets to shore!
3 stars is too little and 4 too much...so 3.5 of 5 or 6.5 of 10 is where I put this.
I'd like to see a 4th movie and hope the change in actors and covid restrictions in the past will allow for a better film.
Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021)
Hmmmm?
Loved the comeback, yep-Olivia is ticked, Elliot is trying not to inflict pain on some criminals, writing grateful, new intro AMAZING.
But hmmmm....how long before Elliot and Olivia get together? I give it 3 seasons! Haha 😄
