Good life
7 September 2018
We are a sum of all our experiences. In this tale a contestant winning steak is questioned not because of what he knows but because of where he comes from. It retraces his life's journey. This movie highlights those unimaginable poor slums and the complexity of class in modern society. The movie is as fresh today as when it came out. Dr Wilson Triviño

Movie stars
7 September 2018
A true breakout comeback role for Burt Reynolds. It tracks the life of a once Hollywood superstar. Time stops for no one and this movie explores the complexity of life after a finicky public has passed on a star's glory days. Some poinent scenes that bring out Burt Reynolds acting skills. A touching tribute to this mega superstar. Dr Wilson Triviño

Be honest with yourself
7 September 2018
This movie is really about living a safe life or taking a chance on living your dreams. Time don't stop for anyone and that's what the two main protagonist discover. It also explores the fragile discovery that tour idols may not really be the image that you hold as the true one. Overall a sweet story of discovering a way to live your own path. Dr Wilson Trivino

Relationships are hard enough. How do your find what your are seeking if you don't have a list. But often this arbitrary list gets you in more trouble than it is worth. Such begins the adventure as the main protagonist seeks to discover love in the swirl. When a black woman dates a white man. Black power
6 September 2018
A movie based loosely on real life events, the unfortuate fate of the black man. What I found tiresome what the continued use of all the racial sterotypes you would expect. Slow moving in some parts. It was interesting to peek behind the veil of the KKK.

If you want a friend buy a dog goes the old adage but how did dogs get that title as man´s best friend? Alpha takes you back to the beginning when the two were dependent of survival in the wild. How they overcame great odds to succeed. A good movie for dog lovers. It will make you love even more man´s best friend.

Perv Puppets
6 September 2018
Most reviews were tough on this film and I was hesitant in watching it on the big screen. But who can resist puppets? No matter how perverted they may be. It is a silly movie with and interest plot. Who is killing all the puppets in a pattern that makes no sense? I liked it and enjoyed the cheap laughs. Don't be expecting rocket science. Just be ready to laugh out loud.

Freedom
6 September 2018
What is the price of freedom worth when you are wrongly accused. This tale takes you behind the prison walls and up the corridors of power. Sometimes unsavory character have to build alliances to reach an intended consequence. Some violent scenes and close calls, this movie is intense.

Desires
6 September 2018
You can never go back. This tale is about a man trying to live out his youthful desires. Can you really channel you dreams of yesterday into reality. As a boy he wonders what it would be like to live in the stately manor and be the man of the house. As he attempts to cross the line, he discovers that it is true that the grass is greener on the other side, so there also is a higher water bill. The movie moves like an Ed Allen Poe story, intrigue, suspense, and full of unexpected surprises.

Revenge can be a strong motivator. In Peppermint, a mother sees the assasination of her husband and daughter. She seeks justice only to be let down by a corrupt system. She takes on the system and in her own way tries to right a wrong. A very intense film, it is full of suspense and action. Never underestimate a scorn woman who has nothing to lose.

A fast moving movie that takes a peek into the covert world of fighting terror. A group of special ops is sent to harms way to solve a conflict. Unfortunately this one has more twist and turns that a tornado. Intense and suspenseful Mile 22 will keep your interest on an un imagine outcome. Dr Wilson Trivino

As chronicled in the book Bowling Alone of the changing trends of the white America´s tradition of bowling decline. This movie centers on the African American tie to a tradition skating. It is a component that weaves the community. Unfortunately there has been a sharp decline in the availability of skating arenas. They have closed due to economic down turn and shifting Main Street trends. The movie chronicles an overview of the skating community. I found it interesting and insightful of a world I was not aware of. I saw this as part of the 2018 Bronze Film Festival

Money money money
27 August 2018
This movie is more than a story of a bunch of rich Asians brats. It is about love and what you will do to get it and keep it. Is it worth the sacrifice simply to live happily ever after¿ Besides the Gabsty style attitude of living the good life, this movie showcases strong women. How they are the ones that keep the home front and determine the direction of the future. Interesting to me to see all these Asians both condeem but relish in the Western World of luxury. Overall a good story and one that captures the changing new Asia world.

The Dude
13 August 2018
I saw in the theater the 20 year anniversary showing of this cult classic. The dude is a still an interesting character as he deals with an array of individuals with competing interest. It is a funny and witty tale about finding your way and discovering how you fit in a complex situation. Long live the 'dude'.

Tradition
13 August 2018
Every year in a sleepy town in Japan, Taiji there is a ritual of hunting whales and dolphins. From the outside it seems cruel and unusual. But from the inside it comes from a long tradition. The movie shows both sides and showcases how a 400 year tradition struggles in a modern social conscious world. Lots of beautiful shots and a story of strong views on both sides.

This movie is full of adventure. What seems as a mild manner man, the main character is a good doer in a world full unsavory characters. Does have some violent scenes but overall pretty suspense-filled.
