The Opera Game (2019 TV Movie)

Horrible across the board (pun intended)

I get that this is a made for TV movie, but my God, the acting is horrible, the cinematography is bad, and worst of all, the chess. You can tell that whoever made this movie has NO idea how to actually play chess. Half the time the board is incorrect from what moves they play. In one scene where the young boy is playing a game with his uncle without looking at the board, he makes a move that is impossible to make. His first 3 moves are Nc3, b3, and Ba3. His next move he says "King side castle" but anyone who has been playing chess for more than 5 minutes will tell you that it's impossible to make this move. If this wasn't a chess movie I could forgive it, but the entire theme of the movie is about chess. Now back to the acting, the performances were 1st year theater at best. No emotion behind the line deliveries at all. I'm not just talking about the kid either. The adult actors are delivering lines like this was the first movie they've ever done. Avoid this movie at all costs, and ignore the 10/10 reviews. They were more than likely posted by someone's friend or family member who worked on this movie.

The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special (2020 TV Movie)

Robot Chicken would've done it better

Look, I get it. This is supposed to be aimed at kids. But this just feels like a badly written episode of Robot Chicken Star Wars. Full of fan service moments in lego form. However the jokes just come across as silly instead of funny. I'd much rather watch the original Holiday Special, and that's not saying much.
