The Redeemer: Son of Satan! (1978)
Put me to sleep-- I ran this sleeper through my father's electric saw!!
BIG SPOILERS
There was absolutely nothing I enjoyed about this film.. those who think "Carnage" is the worst ever.. they should watch this...
There are 6 people who have done something sinful, who knows what it was-- and these six people get invites to a class reunion at their high school.. It's just them, and then this preacher guy shows up at the school --I have no idea how or why!! And he basically murders the six people who try desperately to elude this loony toon to get out of the school alive!!!
The preacher also uses like 4 different disguises, a skeleton, clown, and something else....
I really didn't care whether these characters lived or died-- it was that boring...
The deaths are basic--- shotgun, revolver, sword in head, little flamethrower another sword killing, and a girl gets drowned in a restroom sink!!!!
6 different deaths for each of the six people..!!!
As it turns out, they all never escape, and they ll get murdered!!
And the psychotic preacher is shown at the end as a very regular "unpsychotic" preacher preaching at a service...then the boy who we see rise from the lake in the beginning, gets back on the bus, and gets driven to the lake.. and he walks back under the water to where he arose from... ends with a quote from the bible!!!
Don't watch unless you have insomnia-- this will put you right to sleep!!!
This was a double feature DVD with Carnage from EastEnd DVD's.com--
Absolutely no extras, no scene selection on either movie--- I already have the VHS movie of Carnage which was better than the Redeemer: son of Satan!
So I took the DVD, and ran in electric saw through it!!!!
"The Plumber" is as just as bad- except I rented that one-- good thing I did!! Took it back IMMEDIATELY after I watched it!!
Doragon kuesuto (1986)
The first RPG I played!
SPOILER
I always remember this game!! It's pretty old enough, but I always enjoy the idea of it....as a man slaying monsters gaining experience as a way to gain strength was a great concept. It had 2 goals: to slay the final dragon, and rescue a princess. This game taught me to save money for things I needed to buy better items and weapons..it taught me not to rush through a game, and that taking your time is sometimes the better way to do things....followed by Dragon Warrior 2, 3, and 4...
People who have little patience may not enjoy this game because it's a game you cannot just rush through...it's a planning game.. One needs to build a strong character, gather info, and explore caves. If one can get past the repetition this game indeed has, they are in for a great time, with many hours of enjoyment....!
An American Tail (1986)
Somewhere Out There
Spoiler
I haven't seen this movie in a VERY LONG time! But one thing sticks out why I like it-- Somewhere Out There sung by Feival and Tanya-- in my opinion I think it sounds better than the same song sung by James Ingram and Linda Ronsdant-- it seems more sentimental-- the music sounds better -- it is not John Williams- but it sure does sound like him! One site said that Feival and Tanya are woefully out of tune on this song, but I wholly disagree! Very moving piece... as for the movie itself, it was not a Disney movie, but it was still very fun for kids maybe- about a mouse named Feival who gets separated from his family and need to find his way back - Dom DeLouise provides a voice as a very funny cat ( i think) and helps Feival find his folks...
The Pit (1981)
What the heck!!! Big Spoilers!! But everyone knows about em anyway!!
BIG SPOILERS
This flick was just weird and boring at the same time--- these 4 troll like monsters live at the bottom of a big hole or pit- hence the name- Sammy snyders has this teddy bear that talks- which actually sounds like Sammy snyders voice but with a echo- could be the teddy bear was like a "mirrored reflection of Jamie" of who he was talking to-- anyway Jamie leads all mean people to this big pit-- and instead of not walking AROUND the pit- they just drop themselves in- this was more like a long episode of "Gooesebumps".. not scary except for 2 years old maybe--- the monsters looked liked 4 people in hairy ape costumes-- there are a few shots of female anatomy which could of not been needed....VERY WEAK horror
Today's Special (1981)
Can't stop reminiscing
Spoiler
I always thought although this is a kids show, it has a underlining
maturity behind it--it dealt with real life situations that could happen to kids and adults, and to clear it up--the marshmallow episode was "Waldo's Hat"-Jeff finds Waldo shrunk in his top hat on the counter of the children's department--Waldo warns him from inside"Don't touch
that hat, Jeff", Jeff not hearing him, touches it, and falls in the Hat and joins Waldo --the marshmallows came from Sam's pocket when he threw them in--they turned gigantic since they were already small-- and yes-- waldo and Jeff use the use the big marshmallows as stepping stones to climb out--but they don't have enough--so they topple on one another!!!!
I know perfect descriptions of certain episodes of this series--i know a lot of them by heart!!!!
The Wizard (1989)
Video Game Movie-Commercial
This was one big long movie about Nintendo and a kid who wins big bucks off a game contest...(and it seems also I was watching a commercial throughout this movie)....
I really dont watch this movie--it doesnt hold my interest--I love playing Nintendo, but I guess the movie is just too long for me---
Great kids movie, but when i think of renting this my mind says boring.....
TMNT was played by Christian Slater in the movie-- I just solved this a few weeks ago thanks to Jnes(a nintendo emulator) and a TMNT rom...and the game I used to have , but lost it...does that make it still legal???!!
