The Tomorrow War (2021)

Entertaining despite the obvious plot holes.

Early on, I chose not to watch this movie because of the critics. The effects looked great on the trailer so I bit the bullet and didn't check it out. There were right about the plot holes, some stupid moments, and some of the other things you will find in the bad reviews. However, the critics were also right about the special effects, the time travel, and all the other positives of the movie. When I finally watched the movie, I really enjoyed it despite what was missing. Give it a try, you might like it for what it is. Sci-fi action adventure, with awesome effects, little story, with time travel and aliens. Get your favorite drink and snacks then enjoy.

Dune Drifter (2020)

Just don't do it.

I would give it a D for effort. This was a bad movie. We didn't get much of any back story on either side, the Drekks and the Humans seemed to have the same ships parts vendor, the scenes were long and mostly boring. I've seen high school plays that were better than this movie.

Archive (2020)

Its slow but satisfies

I bought because my daughter thought it would be intresting for movie night. She recognized the lead actor from the "Divergent" movies and wanted to see it. The movie was slow, but the dialog and the scenes made the film interesting. If you stick around to the end, your patience will be rewarded and you might want to see it again. We both liked it!

Bad Boys for Life (2020)

Great Movie

No Spoilers. The movie was shot great just like thr other films. I went in expecting the "same ole thing" and it was just a little of that as they carefully paid homages to the previous films. Then came the plot twist and the other stuff that was not expected. I found myself wanted to see it all again. Great comedy and action without over use. Must see!

Wing Commander (1999)

This movie sucked more than a decompressing compartment

I have played all 5 of the video games, and if you were to take all of the cut scenes from them and make a movie. It would have been much better than this garbage!! This movie could have been awesome, there was so much character and information in the game from which to draw. However, they just blew it. The movie was slow, which the game wasn't. The characters were boring except and unbelievable. With the Exception of the character "Maniac", who actually more crazy in the movie that he was in the game, this picture had no life. They actually had the right guy playing Maniac for the time.

However, I would advise not watching this disappointing movie. The Karathi look fake, they brought in extra characters and ships that didn't belong in the opening movie and killed them off, they just all around blew the movie with it lethargic pace.

Furious 6 (2013)

Disappointed by this installment of the series

I haven't been this disappointed with the Fast and Furious series in a long time.

The movie was slow and it seemed the action was to over the top with no plot or driver to make it interesting.

The end of the movie *spoiler alert* was the most disappoint in my opinion.

I couldn't by into the almost footnote less death of one of the main supporting characters. They didn't search for her in the aftermath, nothing she is just.. dead.

I couldn't understand how any plane could.

1) Fly into a foreign country. 2) Attempt a touch and go at a NATO base which is basically another countries military airport in another country. 3) How long was that run way?? 20 Miles? Even the runway the shuttle lands on at NASA was shorter that this mythical runway. 4) Mia's capture and the return of Torreto's GF both of these events could have been done better.

Now I can understand the need to play out the Han character and tie in his death with the other movie FF2. I also like the cliffhanger they left for FF7, you know there is going to be one.

I just believe that there was a lot there that should have been organized better. I liked the action in the movie. Yet, at the end of the movie most of it was unbelievable.

Its just for me, the amount of unbelievable action and the lack of plot substance took away from the film. I hope FF7 will be better.

Firefly (2002–2003)

Gone before its time.

I watched this series on HULU, during my lunch at work, before they began removing it and other series from the site. I couldn't believe Syfy, who went by a slightly different name at the time, let this series fall on its face. I'm not into westerns, but this show really had it going. It stood on its own, with its mystique (The Alliance and their operatives), its universe (Core/Outer planets), and how different religions and institutions from "earth of old" were used very differently in this new universe.

Its a shame that this series wasn't given a chance. I was very happy that they were able to come back and make the movie "Serenity". When I see actor/actresses who play Jane, Zoe, Mel, and River on other series. I often wonder what this series could have been had it been given a chance. This was great and different science fiction.
