Classic Serling Suspense
13 February 2016
I have to say that this episode ranks in the top five of ALL science fiction suspense yarns I have ever seen. Even without ANY dialogue Miss Morehead delivers a true Tour De Force performance in this truly edge-of-your seat Nail Biter. A MUST for any classic science fiction noir fan!!! It really scared me as a child. I instantly became a huge Agnes fan long before Bewitched. I would go so far as to say that this episode was DEFANITELY Emmy worthy. I have always admired Serling for his plot-twists and simple but in-your-face "Morality Messages". He always seemed to serve up plot twists with irony and skill. I would even say that you could screen this with your kids if they can handle something with a P. G. rating. ENJOY!!

When seeing they were going to re-make THE CLASSIC, I was a bit worried, BUT, Fear not ( or really FEAR) This is a total gem. Zoe and Carole are Truly spell binding. I have only seen tie first episode, but do not despair......... Aside from a few script and location changes, It will creep you out and want a taste of the 5 star original...... A MUST SEE!!!!!! If you are old enough to remember the Roman Polanski, Mia Farrow, John Cassettes original, Ruth Gordon played a very old creepy lady, and Carole Bouquet plays the same role with style, mystery and class. I am rushing out to buy the original book to scare myself to sleep once again! 9 stars!

Classic

Delicious film noir that EVERY movie buff should see or own! Wonderful camp acting and great sets and lighting tricks. One of my personal favorites!! Gloria Swanson is super creepy, yet tragic as she tells William Holden her tales of woe while falling in love (or is it infatuation) with him. She is tragically cut off from the world and in his role he is drawn to her for reasons that seem to not even known to him. Watch for a tour d France delicious romp into Hollywood history both woven into the story of tragedy, hope, and strange mystery. Watch for a great performance by Max, Nora Desmonds butler. This movie is a classic that has uncommon staying power even by todays standards. William Holden is fun and OH SO YOUNG!
